La Gazette de l’N° 32 Mensuel – Juin 2010Des changements à l’ICSN,ÉDITORIALComme toute structure dynamique, l’ICSN subit des changements constants qui sont autant d’occasions d’élargir sonhorizon. Parmi les changements les plus marquants dans les mois à venir, nous noterons les départs de deux de nos chefsd’équipe, Yvan Six et Jieping Zhu.Yvan a intégré l’ICSN en 2000 comme membre de la pépinière et nous quitte maintenant pour voler de ses propresailes au Laboratoire de Synthèse Organique à l’École Polytechnique. Jieping Zhu a rejoint l’ICSN en 1988 pour préparer sathèse dans l’équipe d’Henri-Philippe Husson. L’ayant soutenue en 1991, il est parti en stage postdoctoral d’un an aulaboratoire de Derek Barton à College Station (Texas), avant d’intégrer le CNRS dans l’équipe de René Beugelmans en 1992.Il a pris la direction de cette même équipe après la retraite de René en 1998 et n’a cessé depuis de développer une chimieélégante, ce qui lui a valu la médaille d’argent du CNRS en 2009. A partir de la rentrée 2010, Jieping assumera les fonctions deProfesseur de chimie organique à l’École Fédérale Polytechnique de Lausanne en Suisse.Nous remercions Yvan et Jieping pour leur collaboration aux travaux de l’Institut, nous les félicitons chaleureusementpour leurs nouvelles affectations, et formulons à leur attention les meilleurs vœux pour un avenir aussi fructueux. Nos vœuxaccompagnent également Qian Zhu-Wang, Ingénieure dans l’équipe de Françoise Guéritte depuis 2000 qui nous quitte pour denouvelles fonctions.Dans le courant de l’été, Philippe Dauban quittera l’équipe de Robert Dodd pour fonder une nouvelle équipe centréesur la méthodologie en synthèse organique. Nous souhaitons de longues années pleines de découvertes et de chimieintéressante à Philippe et ses co-équipiers.A l’occasion du départ d’Yvan Six, l’équipe d’Ali Al Mourabit se rassemblera au quatrième niveau laissant ainsi laplace pour la nouvelle équipe Dauban au deuxième niveau, aile ouest.Toujours sur le thème du changement, Catherine Guillou a accepté de prendre dès maintenant la direction de lachimiothèque de l’Institut. Nous remercions Catherine d’avoir accepté cette nouvelle responsabilité et Françoise Guéritte pouren avoir assumé la gestion avec compétence depuis sa création.Beaucoup de changements donc, en un temps assez court, mais des changements liés à des départs dus à d’heureusesprogressions de carrière, amenant l’ICSN à se reconfigurer pour mieux faire face aux défis de demain et aborder de nouvellesquestions pertinentes de science.David CRICHLE MOT DU CEIQue serait le mois de juin à l’ICSN sans son traditionnel barbecue !Après une après-midi des plus sportives (volley, badminton, foot) et le tournoide pétanque tant attendu, nous vous invitons cette année au cœur du Far Westle vendredi 25 juin. Pour vous remettre des efforts de l’après-midi, nous vousproposons de déguster de délicieuses grillades, salades et boissons dans notresaloon.
