TheAthensCenterforEntrepreneurshipandInnovation(ACEin)istheincubator
andacceleratoroftheAthensUniversityofEconomicsandBusiness(AUEB).While
theAUEBresearchstaffhasbeeninvolvedinentrepreneurshipandinnovationfor
morethanadecade,ACEinwasofficialyfoundedin2014.ACEinisaccreditedby
theEuropeanUnionOpenInnovationbestpractice.

Thereare2differentinflowsofteamstoACEin:
1. Every6months,ACEinreleasesanopencalforstart-ups.
2. Teamsareacceptedviavariousuniversityentrepreneurshipcompetitionsthat
involveinstitutionsfrom aloverGreece.
Theincubationperiodlastsabout6months.Incubatedteamsarebothassignedto
anACEincoachandanindustryexpert.
WithintheframeworkofACEinthesecompaniesareofferedtrainingonhow to
establishandrunastart-up,servicesfrom expertsinfieldssuchas:accounting,
taxationissues,legalissues,mentoring,networking,largeopenco-working
space,conferenceroom,meetingrooms,akitchen,facilitiesfreeofcharge,
workequipmentandpresentationmedia(e.g.beamers,presentationscreens
andmobilewhiteboards)
ACEinphysicalyaccommodates15to20entrepreneurialteams.

termswithVCs,andfifteenStart-upsarecurentlyoperatingindependently.

RyersonUniversityishometotheworld’slargestentrepreneurshipprogram and
totheDMZ,oneofthetopincubatorsintheworld.
