L'art trait d'union à La CENTRALE, Bruxelles

Cinq ans après BXL UNIVER-

SEL I, la CENTRALE présente

BXL UNIVERSEL II : multipli.

city et fête ses 15 ans d'existence.

Plus qu'une exposition,

ce projet se dessine comme

un forum et patchwork de singularités

et de parcours, à travers

les propositions d'artistes

qui ont élu domicile dans la

capitale de l'Europe et la collaboration

avec des organisations

citoyennes et artistiques

œuvrant dans la ville.

Five years after BXL UNIVER-

BXL UNIVERSEL II: multipli.

city, celebrating its 15th anniversary.

More than an exhibition,

this project has been

designed as a forum and

patchwork of singularities and

journeys, through the proposals

of artists who have taken

up residence in the capital of

Europe, and the collaboration

with citizen and artistic organisations

working in the city.

BXL UNIVERSEL II : multipli.

city présente l'art contemporain

comme un trait-d'union

entre les habitants, après

une année marquée par la

pandémie et la crise sanitaire,

le projet nous rappelle à quel

point vivre ensemble nous

avait manqué. La ville est

représentée multiple, cosmopolite

et plus vivante que

jamais, malgré les changements

dans nos rapports aux

autres induits par le risque

sanitaire et les confinements

successifs.

BXL UNIVERSAL II: multipli.

city presents contemporary

art as a link between inhabitants;

after a year marked by

the pandemic and the health

crisis, the project reminds us

how much we have missed

living together. The city is

represented as being multiple,

cosmopolitan and more alive

than ever, despite the changes

in our relationships with others

due to the health risk and the

successive lockdowns.

Multidisciplinaire, la manifestation

invite photographe

(Vincen Beeckman), plasticien.ne.s

(Younes Baba-Ali,

Pélagie Gbaguidi ou Oussama

Tabti), artiste textile

(Stepfan Goldrajch) ou

encore la cinéaste et sculptrice

vénézuélienne Sabrina

Montel-Soto à nous présenter

leur vision de la ville.

Multidisciplinary, the event

invites a photographer

(Vincen Beeckman), visual

artists (Younes Baba-Ali,

Pélagie Gbaguidi or Oussama

Tabti), a textile artist (Stepfan

Goldrajch), and also Venezuelan

filmmaker and sculptor

Sabrina Montel-Soto to present

their vision of the city.
