It’s 25 degrees Celsius sun is shining, light breeze coming from
the river, and the streets of Budapest make their summer appearance.
Tanned hotties coming down the Terez körút (ring road)
, suddenly turning into Dessewfy utca, and down to the two
most busiest gay clubs in Budapest. by alphabetical order ;) the
“Alterego” and the “revans”, both featuring drag shows every
night , friendly atmosphere and a full dance floor at weekends.
All the baths and pools are now open, and so are the gay saunas
“magnum” and “sauna 69” which are very up-to-date. At
the river side summer buffets are open, serving Hungarian Gullash
and fish soups, fresh fish (hek) and chips (place called
‘Romai Part’), and the authentic Hungarian “pancake” called
palacsinta. If you came all the way to Hungary you might as
well have a taste of the culture.
BUDAPEST
PRAGUE
You might be in time for the New York “Bodies” display, for
those who prefer chicken without skin. Worldwide movie premiers,
on the screens in June, “sex and the city – the movie”,
and the new “Indiana Jones” movie. Reviews say that Harrison
Ford is still very sexy, although he is like what, a hundred years
old .. well it’s a good opportunity to cool down in the air
conditioned cinemas.
From the 7th of june "Ball of the Vampires” by Roman Polansky,
the original production (just in Hungarian), will be played in
the “Magyar Szinhaz” (name of the theatre).
Many festival celebrations in the Balaton area (& Balaton lake)
, outside Budapest (1, 2 hours drive). In ‘Badacsony’ there is a
wine festival of local wines, and a guitar festival in Balaton
Füred, and many others. You can find more info about festivals
