SUMMARY<br />
The penitentiary institutions are trying to divert<br />
the youthful off ender’s life in the right direction<br />
taking the overall objective of the Penal Code into<br />
account. The main goal is not punishment, but<br />
education, (re)integration. The juvenile correctional<br />
education is useful as it strives to achieve the goal<br />
of education and prevention of re-off ending.<br />
