Fase cataglaciale: il ghiacciaio cominciò a ritirarsi (18.000 anni fa), le varie correnti<br />
<strong>di</strong>minuirono d’intensità, tranne quella in uscita da Nervesa, che determinò la formazione <strong>di</strong><br />
una seconda conoide, interconnessa e sovrapposta alla prima, con vertice a Nervesa e<br />
limitata ad ovest dal torrente Giavera e ad est dal torrente Monticano.<br />
Fase postglaciale: su questa seconda conoide (10.000 anni fa) il Piave ha <strong>di</strong>vagato<br />
incidendo e ridepositando sulle vecchie alluvioni. Le singole correnti più veloci hanno<br />
lasciato lunghe strisce ghiaiose che ancora oggi si osservano.<br />
Nella figura sottostante sono rappresentate le correnti fluvioglaciali würmiane (frecce<br />
continue), le correnti più recenti (frecce tratteggiate) e il limite della seconda conoide (linea<br />
tratteggiata)<br />
