La parte reale, come <strong>di</strong>ce stesso il nome, è semplicemente un numero reale, mentre la<br />
parte immaginaria è un numero che deriva dalla necessità <strong>di</strong> calcolare la ra<strong>di</strong>ce quadrata<br />
<strong>di</strong> un numero negativo. La <strong>di</strong>fficoltà nasce dal fatto che il quadrato <strong>di</strong> qualsiasi numero<br />
reale, positivo o negativo che sia da come risultato sempre un numero positivo. Quin<strong>di</strong> si<br />
è ricorso al numero immaginario i . Per questo numero, che non può essere espresso<br />
