Denne rappporten viser utbredelsen av <strong>marine</strong> bunnlevende makroorganismer (alger,<br />
evertebr<strong>at</strong>er og fisk) ved <strong>Svalbard</strong> (inkludert Bjørnøya). Arbeidet med rapporten ble startet<br />
opp som et første ledd i en kartlegging av marinbiologiske n<strong>at</strong>urverdier i det samme<br />
området. D<strong>at</strong>aene er hentet fra upubliserte og publiserte arbeider og baserer seg på<br />
eksisterende informasjon supplert med nye analyser fra utvalgte områder hvor det fra før<br />
av eksisterte lite d<strong>at</strong>a. Det er totalt samlet inn informasjon fra 1179 prøvestasjoner, og 1871<br />
arter er registrert i undersøkelsesområdet.<br />
Abstract:<br />
This report presents the distribution <strong>of</strong> <strong>marine</strong>, <strong>benthic</strong> <strong>macro</strong>-<strong>organisms</strong> (algae,<br />
evertebr<strong>at</strong>es, fish) from the areas <strong>of</strong> <strong>Svalbard</strong> (including Bear Island) and Jan Mayen. This<br />
work was inniti<strong>at</strong>ed as a first step <strong>of</strong> a mapping <strong>of</strong> <strong>marine</strong> “n<strong>at</strong>ure values” near <strong>Svalbard</strong> in<br />
the same geographical region. The d<strong>at</strong>a are collected from unpublished and published<br />
sources and are based on existing inform<strong>at</strong>ion and supplemented with analyses from<br />
certain areas from which d<strong>at</strong>a were scarce. In total, inform<strong>at</strong>ion was collected from 1179<br />
st<strong>at</strong>ions, and 1871 species were recorded within the area <strong>of</strong> investig<strong>at</strong>ion.
