all’effi cienza delle sue strutture sciistiche, ai moderni impianti di risalita,
ad un innevamento programmato che garantisce la possibilità di sciare
da novembre ad aprile. Con 110 km di piste da discesa e circa 70 km di
piste da fondo, Cortina è uno dei centri mondiali dello sci alpino e nordico!
SCI ALPInO
Per lo sci alpino vi sono 37 impianti con 110 km di piste, estremamente
variegate per lunghezza e diffi coltà. Gli sciatori possono scegliere tra 5
diverse aree sciistiche: Faloria, Cristallo, Mietres, tofana, Socrepes-Pocol,
Falzarego - Cinque torri, tutte collegate tra loro tramite impianti o servizio
di skibus. Per chi è alle prime armi, o desidera migliorare il proprio stile,
250 maestri di sci sono a disposizione per corsi collettivi e lezioni private.
SCI nOrDICO
Per lo sci nordico i tracciati a disposizione, di ogni grado e diffi coltà, si
snodano in località tre Croci e Fiames, da dove è possibile proseguire
fi no a Dobbiaco (30 km) attraverso la sede della ex ferrovia.
OLtre LO SCI
Per chi non desidera cimentarsi sulle piste ci sono numerosissimi altri
sport da praticare: sci d’alpinismo, passeggiate sulla neve battuta o con
le ciaspe, meglio se accompagnati da guide esperte.
I più spericolati possono cimentarsi nell’arrampicata su cascate di
ghiaccio, emozioni più soft offrono invece il curling o le uscite su slitta
trainata da cavalli, mentre gli amanti del pattinaggio e del nuoto si possono
sbizzarrire allo Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio o nella Piscina di Cortina,
entrambi coperti. Per l’après-ski non vi è che l’imbarazzo della scelta tra
i tantissimi locali e ristoranti.
The Queen of the Dolomites, the Alpine salon of Italy: situated right at the
centre of the Dolomites and the whole of the Veneto mountain area, Cortina
plays a pivotal role in the local tourist industry. Surrounded on all sides by
splendid peaks such as the Tofane, the Cristallo and the Pomagagnon, the
town is one of the most beautiful and best-known tourist resorts in the world,
a great favourite with visitors on account not only of the enviable surrounding
landscape, but also of its superb skiing facilities, with modern ski and chair
lifts and a programmed snow-cover system which guarantees skiing from
November right through to April. With 100 km of downhill slopes and around
70 km of cross-country trails, Cortina is a dream of a destination for all skiers.
DOWNHILL SKIING
Downhill skiers will fi nd 37 ski and chair lifts and 110 km of slopes, with a great
variety of diffi culty levels. There are fi ve different ski areas to choose from:
Faloria, Cristallo, Mietres,Tofana, Socrepes- Pocol and Falzarego-CinqueTorri,
all linked to each other by ski and chair lifts or skibus services. For beginners,
or for those who would like to improve their style, 250 instructors are available
for group or individual lessons.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Cross-country skiers will fi nd a wide variety of routes of varying diffi culty
levels to choose from which run through the Tre Croci and Fiames area,
from where it is possible to continue on towards Dobbiaco (30 km away)
along the former railway line from Fiames.
MORE THAN JUST SKIING
For those who don’t fancy tackling the slopes, there are plenty more sports
to try: ski mountaineering, walks on groomed snow, with or without ciaspe
snow-shoes, all the better if accompanied by expert guides. The more
reckless among you might like to try ice-climbing up frozen waterfalls, while
the less adventurous can opt for curling or trips by horse-driven sledge.
Skating and swimming fans will fi nd plenty to do at the Olympic Ice Stadium
or Cortina Swimming Pool (both indoor). There is a wide range of aprèsski
activities to choose from in the numerous pubs, clubs and restaurants.

es gibt 37 Liftanlagen und insgesamt 110 km Abfahrtspisten unterschiedlichen
schwierigkeitsgrads. Den schiläufern stehen 5 verschiedene schigebiete

CinqueTorri. sie alle sind durch Lifte oder Linienschibusse miteinander
verbunden. wer noch nie auf den Brettern gestanden hat oder ganz einfach
seinen stil verbessern möchte, kann sich an die lokalen schischulen wenden,
und bei einem der 250 schilehrer Privatlektionen nehmen oder sich in einen
Gruppenkurs einschreiben.
LAnGLAUF
Loipen unterschiedlichen schwierigkeitsgrads gibt es im Raum von Tre
Croci und Fiames, wo man längs der ehemaligen eisenbahnlinie bis nach
Toblach (30 km) gelangt.
niChT nUR sChiLAUF
wer keine Lust zum schilaufen hat, kann es mit vielen anderen
sportarten versuchen: schitourenlauf, winterwanderungen oder
schneeschuhwanderungen, am besten in Begleitung erfahrener Bergführer.
wer extremes liebt, kann es auf einem vereisten wasserfall mit iceclimbing
versuchen. entschieden ruhiger geht s beim Curling zu oder bei einer
hundeschlittenfahrt; Gäste, die gerne eislaufen und schwimmen, können
sich in der Olympiaeishalle und im schwimmbad vergnügen. Und beim
Après-ski hat man nur die Qual der wahl zwischen den unzähligen Lokalen
und Restaurants.

D’estate l’offerta turistica di Cortina ha il suo fulcro nella bellezza del
paesaggio; la conca ampezzana si trova infatti in un anfiteatro naturale
baciato dai raggi del sole e protetto dai venti dalle splendide montagne
che la circondano. La valle, situata tra Cadore e val Pusteria, si estende
dal Passo Falzarego al Passo tre Croci con intorno i monti più belli delle
Dolomiti Orientali: il Sorapiss, l’Antelao, la Croda da Lago, le tofane, la
Croda rossa, il Cristallo.

storico gruppo di arrampicatori, non professionisti, famoso per le numerose
vie aperte e per le varie spedizioni. Le Guide Alpine e guide naturalistiche
che operano sul territorio ampezzano organizzano, all’insegna dello slogan
“Avventura-Sicurezza”, gite ed escursioni, scalate, corsi di roccia e free
climbing. Molte le proposte estive per un divertimento alternativo come il
torrentismo e il parco avventura.

Cortina non è solo capitale delle vacanze, ma anche un luogo di tradizioni
e cultura con mostre d’arte ed appuntamenti letterari di altissimo livello,
incontri con personalità del cinema, della politica e del giornalismo,
manifestazioni musicali e culturali.
Per l’intrattenimento si va dal folklore, alla musica, ad importanti
manifestazioni sportive come: Coppa del Mondo di sci alpino femminile;
“Dobbiaco-Cortina” gara internazionale di fondo; campionato di serie A
di hockey su ghiaccio e molto ancora.

esclusivi, dove acquistare il meglio della moda italiana ed internazionale,

contemporanea, oggetti d’antiquariato e prodotti dell’artigianato locale. Il
cuore pulsante della vita della comunità locale, nonché il punto di ritrovo
più gettonato dai turisti, è l’ormai celeberrimo Corso Italia, una delle
vie italiane più famose per lo shopping: qui si affacciano alcuni dei più
prestigiosi negozi d’Italia e d’europa.
GAStrOnOMIA e PrODOttI tIPICI
La cucina ampezzana è in gran parte la cucina tirolese, rispecchiando i forti
legami tra Cortina e l’Austria occidentale. Sono pietanze della tradizione
popolare, con ingredienti poveri ma ricchi di sapore e tradizione. I ristoranti
della zona soddisfano tutti i palati: dai locali raffinati ai caratteristici rifugi e
ristoranti tipici, dove assaporare i prodotti locali: salumi, speck, minestra
d’orzo, “casunziei”, i canederli, polenta, grappe e liquori. Per i dolci
tradizionali: omelette con la marmellata di mirtillo rosso, frittelle di mele,
strudel, “brazorà” (focaccia rotonda cosparsa con la granella di zucchero),
“fartaia” e “carafo”.
The main attraction for visitors to Cortina in the summer is the beautiful
surrounding landscape. The Ampezzo basin lies in a natural amphitheatre,
warmed by the sun and sheltered from the winds by the splendid mountains
which encircle it. The valley, situated between the Cadore and the Val Pusteria,
stretches from the Falzarego Pass to the Tre Croci Pass, and is surrounded by
the most beautiful mountain groups in the Eastern Dolomites: the Sorapis, the
Antelao, the Croda da Lago, the Tofane, the Croda Rossa and the Cristallo.

WALKS
Visitors can choose from a huge range of walks of all lengths and levels of
diffi culty, totalling 300 km. Among the fi nest are the Montanelli path, from
Pié Tofana; the tour round the Val Travenanzes and the Fanes waterfalls for
expert hikers; the hikes to the Federa Lake and the Lakes of Pianozes, Ajal,
Ghedina and Sorapis Lake, famous for the colour of its waters. There are also
some wonderful walks to be had in the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park.

HIGH-MOUNTAIN THRILLS
Cortina offers numerous mountain bike itineraries, walks, equipped mountain
paths and climbs in the summer; exploring the mountains and promoting
mountaineering are the main aims of the Scoiattoli di Cortina, the historic
group of non-professional climbers famous for having opened up hundreds
of climbing routes and for their various expeditions. The Alpine and Nature
Guides who operate in the Cortina area, whose slogan is “Adventures in
Safety”, organize trips and hikes, climbs, rock-climbing and free-climbing
courses. And if you don’t fancy climbing, there are plenty of alternatives, such
as canyoning and the adventure park.
HISTORY, ART AND CULTURE
Cortina is not merely a famous holiday resort, it is also rich in tradition and
culture; a place where visitors can enjoy top-class art exhibitions and literary
encounters, musical, culture and folk events, and rub shoulders with the crème
de la crème of the cinema, of politics and of journalism. And then of course
a range of important sport events take place here too, such as the Women’s
Downhill Skiing World Championships, the Dobbiaco-Cortina international
cross-country skiing event and the Serie A ice hockey championships.
FASHION
For the shopaholics, Cortina boasts over 250 exclusive, luxury shops offering
the finest Italian and international fashion wear, as well as art galleries where
you can purchase splendid modern and contemporary artworks, antiques
and local craft products. Both the heart of the local community and the most
popular street with the tourists is the world-famous Corso Italia, one of the
finest shopping areas in Italy, lined with some of the most restigious boutiques
in Italy and indeed in Europe.
TYPICAL CUISINE AND FOOD PRODUCTS
The cuisine of the Ampezzano area is very similar to Tyrolean cuisine, as a
result of the strong links between Cortina and western Austria. The traditional
local dishes are made with simple, yet tasty, genuine ingredients, and in
Cortina there is something to suit all tastes: from sophisticated restaurants
to characteristic mountain refuges and trattorie where visitors can sample
local produce such as cold meats, speck, barley soup, “casunziei”, polenta,
grappa and liqueurs. Traditional sweets include redcurrant jam omelette, apple
fritters, strudel, “brazolà” (a kind of round focaccia sprinkled with grains of
sugar), “fartaia” and “carafoi”.

Das Fremdenverkehrsangebot im sommer konzentriert sich auf die herrliche
Landschaft. Das sonnige und windgeschützte Becken von Ampezzo liegt in einem
von der natur geschaffen Amphitheater mit einer einmaligen Bergkulisse. Das Tal
ist zwischen der Region Cadore und dem Pustertal eingebettet und zieht sich vom
Falzarego Pass bis zum Tre Croci Pass hin. Die Berggruppen ringsum gelten als die
schönsten der Ostdolomiten: der Monte sorapiss, der Monte Antelao, der Croda
da Lago, die Tofane, der Croda Rossa und der Monte Cristallo.
wAnDeRUnGen
Das Gebiet um Cortina hat insgesamt 300 km wanderwege unterschiedlichen
schwierigkeitsgrads. Zu den schönsten zählen: der wanderweg „sentiero
Montanelli“ von Pié Tofana; die wanderung ins Travenanzes Tal und zu den
wasserfällen Fanes (für erfahrene wanderer); wanderungen zum Federa see, zu

Das entdecken der Bergwelt und die Förderung der Alpinistik zählen zu den
wichtigsten Aufgaben der „scoiattoli di Cortina“ (auf dt: die eichhörnchen von
Cortina), einer berühmten Gruppe von Amateurbergsteigern, die sich mit der
eröffnung von wegen und steigen und expeditionen einen namen machten. Die im
Raum Cortina tätigen Alpine Guides und naturführer organisieren unter dem Motto
„Abenteuer - sicherheit“ wanderungen und Touren, Klettergänge, Free Climbingund
Felskletterkurse. Und im sommer gibt es noch vieles mehr: Canyoning und
einmalige erlebnisse im Abenteuerpark.

Cortina ist nicht nur ein Ferienzentrum, sondern auch ein Ort mit viel Tradition und
Kultur: Kunstausstellungen und literarische events der spitzenklasse, Treffen mit
Personen aus der welt des Kinos, der Politik und der Presse und Musik-, Kultur
und Brauchtumsveranstaltungen. Die Unterhaltung reicht von traditionellen Festen
über Konzerte bis hin zu wichtigen sportveranstaltungen, wie dem schiworldcup
für Damen, dem internationalen Langlaufrennen „Toblach – Cortina“, der
eishockeymeisterschaft serie A und vielem mehr.

Die Küche im Ampezzo ähnelt der Tiroler Küche, und auch daran erkennt man die
enge Beziehung zwischen Cortina und westösterreich. Die speisen entstammen der
Volkstradition, werden oft aus ganz einfachen, fast schon „armen“ Zutaten gemacht,
schmecken aber fantastisch. Man kann sich in den unterschiedlichsten Lokalen
verwöhnen lassen: Das Angebot reicht von exklusiven Restaurants bis zu urigen
Berghütten, wo man heimische spezialitäten serviert bekommt: wurst, speck,
Gerstensuppe, Casunziei, Knödel, Polenta, Grappa und hausgemachte Liköre. Und
als Dessert gibt es: Palatschinken mit heidelbeermarmelade, Apfelpfannkuchen,
strudel, Brazolà (Germkuchen mit hagelzucker), Fartaia und Carafoi.

Il Marchio di qualità delle imprese alberghiere è una
associazione volontaria di esercizi che fornisce ai clienti,
attraverso una segnaletica appropriata, una valutazione
obiettiva del livello di servizio offerto.
RECLAMI
I turisti che riscontrano carenze nella gestione o nelle
strutture, o ai quali sono state richieste tariffe difformi da
quelle risultanti dalla tabella prezzi esposta nel locale di
ricevimento dell’albergo, possono presentare documentato
reclamo entro trenta giorni dall’evento a:

Every hotel listing includes the following information: the name,
classification with number of stars varying from 5 to 1, address,
the number of rooms, beds and baths. The tourist hotel residences
are marked by letters RTA next to the name.
The standard symbols used for amenities and services of the
hotels are illustrated in the legenda. Where the symbol “ACCESS
WITH GUIDE” appears, it is advisable to call the hotel keeper for
specific needs. In accordance with the modifications to the regional
regulations and while awaiting the pertinent operational indications,
the information regarding ACCESSIBILITY to the accommodation
facilities refers to October 2008.
The quality trade-mark of the hotel business is a voluntary
association of hotel management that provides the guests, by an
appropriate sign, an objective evaluation of the service level offered.
CLAIMS
Should visitors find any reason for complaint regarding
the management or premises, or should the charges requested
differ from those that figure in the table of prices displayed in
the reception, they should document their claim for redress and
send it, within 30 days of the incident, to the following address:

Für jeden Hotelbetrieb wird folgendes angegeben: der Hotelname,
die betreffende Einstufung mit Angabe der Sterne, die von eins
bis fünf variieren können, di Adresse, die Anzahl der Zimmer, der
Betten und der Badezimmer; die touristischen Apartmenthotel
sind mit der Abkürzung RTA neben dem Namen gekennzeichnet.
Die herkömmlichen Symbole für die seitens der Hotelbetriebe
gebotenen Ausstattung und Serviceleistungen werden in der
Legende illustriert. Wird das Symbol „MIT BEGLEITUNG
ZUGÄNGLICH“ angegeben, wird empfohlen, sich telefonisch mit
dem Hotelführer in Verbindung zu setzen, um so die persönlichen
Anförderungen abklären zu können. Die Zugänglichkeitsreglungen
nach den Normen aus dem Jahr 2008 bleiben gültig bis zum
Inkrafttreten der neuen regionalen Bestimmunge.

Hotelgewerbes). Mit Hilfe ausgewählter Kriterien, soll dieses
Gütezeichen dem Kunden eine objektive Wertung des Angebotes
ermöglichen.
REKLAMATIONEN
Gäste, die Beanstandungen vorzutragen haben oder denen Tarife
verrechnet wurden, die nicht mit der im Hotel ausgehängten Preisliste
übereinstimmen, können mit Vorlage von Beweisen innerhalb
von 30 Tagen bei folgendem Amt eine Reklamation einreichen:
