BolzanoBozenMAGAZINE_EDITORIALE
Cari lettori, liebe Leser, dear readers!
Luigi Spagnolli,
Sindaco di Bolzano,
Bürgermeister von Bozen,
Mayor of Bolzano/Bozen
Ich wünsche all jenen,
The coming summer will be a big challenge for us. Times are becoming tougher in
the tourism sector, with ever-increasing competition and visitors‘ always-higher expectations.
All of us working in the public administration have to grapple with the problems
of matching supply and demand, of constantly launching new initiatives which on the
one hand reflect local realities but which on the other hand also reflect modern trends
in tourism. Variety is called for, and I believe Bolzano has quite a lot to offer. Just take a
glance at what’s on over the coming months: jazz, dance, modern and classical music
festivals, the extremely-varied programme of our tourist office, not only in the town itself,
but also into the surroundings, all giving you the opportunity to sample culture, traditions
and our very special savoir-vivre amidst our wonderful landscape. I wish all who
work in the tourist sector and of course our many visitors a great summer.
Attraversando
I
fino alla Svizzera e all’Austria.
fino a Passo Carezza.
Obereggen.
invece a piedi.
Pisa alias Latemar-Hütte (2.671 m) führt, wo man
A summer hike among the
pinnacles of the Dolomites
From afar the jagged peaks of the Dolomites may seem to be inaccessible
to all bar the most intrepid climber, but a closer inspection of hiking
maps reveals a network of waymarked paths that criss-cross these ranges,
enabling the sure-footed walker to experience the magic of the Dolomites
from close up.
GB
One such path is just a stone’s throw from Bolzano,
starting from Obereggen and traverses the incredible
crags of the Latemar range which, together with the
Rosengarten and the Schlern, surround Bolzano in a
semicircle. These limestone mountains, the result of the
fossilization of coral deposits in an ancient warm sea
millions of years ago, subsequently uplifted by tectonic
movements and then eroded, are surely unique. Their
lofty pinnacles and craggy peaks have inspired many
of the legends of the Ladin people who live in these
valleys and they continue to fascinate countless visitors,
be they climbers, skiers, hikers, botanists or just
day-trippers.
Our walk starts in the Eggental, easily reached by
public bus or car from Bolzano. From Obereggen we
cheat a little and take the chairlift that whisks us up in
minutes through pine forests right up to the tree-line at
2170 metres. Already here the view is simply breathtaking:
the verdant meadows down below, dotted with
miniature farmsteads and villages against the backdrop
of a huge swathe of the Eastern Alps, stretching
from Switzerland to Austria. Behind us the seemingly
impenetrable pinnacles of the Latemar.
We now turn and follow path number 18 which soon
takes us up above the last stands of Cembran pine,
opening up new vistas of the Dolomites around us.
The well laid-out and waymarked path wends its way
in among the rock-faces of the Eggentaler Horn to our
left and Cima Valsorda to our right. After about 2 hours
we reach the first col, where we look down into stony
basins, occasionally filled with deep-blue mountain
lakes. Opposite, we can see the path zig-zagging up
14
bm Nr. 2•2013
Latemar
When we get there,
another beautiful panorama opens up,
down below us
to the Lastè di Valsorda,
the Fiemme valley and the Dolomites
of Sella and Marmolada beyond.
Difference in altitude: 800 metres (including various ups and downs)
Highest point: 2685 metres
to our next col, the Gamsstallscharte at 2590 metres.
From here it looks incredibly steep, but this is an optical
illusion - once we approach it, we see that it’s
quite manageable. When we get there, another beautiful
panorama opens up, down below us to the Lastè di
Valsorda, the Fiemme valley and the Dolomites of Sella
and Marmolada beyond.
We now descend briefly and then turn right on path
516 which takes us in another 1 hour, always skirting
the foot of the rock-faces of Cima Valsorda to the
delightfully-situated Torre di Pisa refuge, so called because
of a nearby leaning pinnacle. Here we can stop
for a well-deserved rest and something to eat before we
move on, descending first on path 516 as far as the Satteljoch
pass, then turning right on path 22, waymarked
Obereggen. We can now choose whether to make for
the chairlift again (path 22), or to walk down through the
flower-strewn meadows to Obereggen (path 23A) via
the Mayrl Alm or the Eppircher Laner Alm. Flower-lovers
will be amazed at the flora here, especially in early summer,
so make sure you have your camera ready
to round off an unforgettable day!
Total walking time using the chairlift both up and down:
5 hours, just up: 6 hours
This walk is only to be undertaken in good weather
conditions!
Der Herzogspalast
Ursprünglich war der prachtvolle Adelssitz Wohnung
eines Mitglieds der italienischen Königsfamilie
Savoy.
bayrischen Prinzessin, Isabella Luisa, Prinz Filiberto
Hamburger Unternehmerfamilie stammende Wilhelmine
Kubikmeter Travertin, versilbertes Murano-Glas, Marmor
der besten Qualität in den verschiedensten Farben
und aus aller Welt. Riesengemälde berühmter Künstler
schmücken die Wände der Zimmerfluchten. Darunter
Malereien aus der Hand von Palma il Giovane, Gemälde
von Basilio und Tommaso Cascella, Freskogemälde
Palazzo Ducale:
una reggia
sontuosa ma
inaccessibile
20
bm Nr. 2•2013
Palazzo Ducale
“razionalismo” anni Trenta a Bolzano, tanto fastoso e
stupefacente quanto purtroppo sconosciuto e inaccessibile
decennio passata dall’impero austro-ungarico all’Italia,
sempre più “italiana“. La presenza del regime era già
testimoniata dall’architettura della città nuova imperniata
attorno al Monumento alla Vittoria. Occorreva
d’Arenberg, nata a Bruxelles e istruita a Roma, donna
descrivere compiutamente l’edificio e in effetti ci
I vini bianchi
sono diventati famosi soprattutto in
Italia, i rossi anche in Europa e Oltreoceano.
Oggi i prodotti di punta
dei coltivatori altoatesini giocano tra
le eccellenze del settore e possono
tranquillamente competere anche
con i loro famosi fratelli francesi.
“Siamo riusciti a trovare l’equilibrio
giusto per promuovere i nostri vini”,
spiega l’enologo. “Il rapporto qualità
– prezzo è azzeccato. La nostra
ricchezza è poi la grande varietà.
I nostri vini convincono grazie alla
freschezza, all’eleganza, al gusto
fruttato e aromatico, al loro carattere.
Sono prodotti di altissima qualità
pur restando molto bevibili.”
I viticoltori altoatesini investono
molto in termini di aggiornamento
professionale e sono veloci nell’adozione
di tutte quelle misure che
servono ad aumentare la qualità
del loro lavoro e del loro prodotto.
La cantina Bolzano conta più
di 200 soci, che coltivano vitigni
i 17.000 e i 17.500 quintali di uva
all’anno, da cui si ottengono tre
milioni di bottiglie, di cui il 35 % di
Stephan Filippi chiede ai soci di
garantire una qualità elevata. Senza
ottime uve non si può produrre
un ottimo vino. “La qualità del vino
si decide nel vigneto, non in cantina.”
La qualità deve essere garantita
sempre, bisogna essere al top ad
ogni livello. Così, spiega Filippi, si
riescono a superare senza troppe
perdite anche periodi di crisi come
quello che stiamo vivendo.
I prodotti di punta della Cantina
Bolzano vengono vinificati in
barrique. “Il legno è sempre più
importante per la produzione di
vini pregiati. Bisogna però sapere
come fare. La botte in legno deve
aumentare l’aroma e la freschezza
del vino senza appesantirlo con
una nota esagerata di vaniglia, tipica
del barrique non ben calibrato.”
Stephan Filippi va a trovare i soci
almeno una volta all’anno e li invita
frequentemente a delle degustazioni.
“Bisogna conoscere bene
non solo il proprio prodotto ma
anche quello degli altri”, spiega
l’enologo. “Ci tengo a dimostrare
ai nostri soci dove vogliamo arrivare
ma anche dove non potremmo
mai arrivare. Li invito ad alzare lo
sguardo oltre il proprio vigneto.”
Anche nella produzione di vino è
sempre più importante il lavoro in
rete. Filippi fa parte dell’Associazione
italiana degli enologi e tramite il
Centro di Consulenza per la Fruttiviticoltura
è costantemente in contatto
con altre realtà produttive . “Non ci
sentiamo concorrenti, ci unisce il
desiderio di aumentare la qualità del
nostro prodotto.
Abbiamo chiesto
a Stephan Filippi come sarà l’annata 2012. Lui la
giudica promettente. Per i vini bianchi prevede
addirittura un anno memorabile. Schiava e Santa
Maddalena promettono bene, meglio del 2011. Il
Pinot Nero è di altissimo livello, i vini rossi corposi
come Cabernet e Lagrein segneranno forse un po’
il passo rispetto al 2011. Per la “riserva” è troppo
presto per esprimere un giudizio.
Vini bianchi: Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Sauvignon,
Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer,
Müller Thurgau e Silvaner.
Vini rossi: Santa Maddalena, Pinot Nero, Lagrein,
Merlot, Cabernet, Moscato giallo
licherweise zurückgehen.“ Aber, so
Filippi, Qualität zahlt sich langfristig
gesehen aus!
Die Spitzenweine der Kellerei
Bozen werden in Holz ausgebaut.
„Das ist heute ungemein wichtig.
Aber man muss damit umgehen
können. Es gibt Eichenfässer, die
die Qualität des Weines verbessern,
ohne ihm eine aufdringliche
Vanille-Note zu verleihen. Bei Holzausbau
bleibt der Wein zudem länger
frisch und die fruchtige Note
bleibt länger erhalten.“
Von großer Bedeutung ist für Kellermeister
Filippi der Austausch.
Jedes Mitglied der Genossenschaft
wird von ihm mindestens
einmal im Jahr besucht. Die Kellerei
lädt die Mitglieder auch immer
wieder zu Verkostungen ein, nicht
nur der eigenen oder Südtiroler
Weine, auch von Weinen aus aller
Welt. „Mir ist wichtig zu zeigen, wo
wir hinkommen wollen, aber auch
wo wir nie hinkommen werden.“ Jedes
Jahr zu Lichtmess gibt es eine
Verkostung, wo der beste und der
schlechteste Wein auserkoren wird.
„Es ist wichtig, über seinen eigenen
Rebgarten hinaus zu schauen.“
Aber nicht nur in den eigenen
Reihen pflegt Filippi Kontakte. Im
Rahmen der Önologen-Vereinigung
ist er mit Kollegen aus Südtirol und
Italien vernetzt. Wein verbindet und
kennt keine Grenzen. Von größter
Bedeutung ist auch die Zusammenarbeit
mit dem Südtiroler Beratungsring
für Obst- und Weinbau.
Auch hier gibt es kein Konkurrenzdenken.
„Schließlich geht es uns
allen doch vor allem darum, unser
Produkt nach Möglichkeit zu verbessern.
Wenn auch mein Nachbar
gute Wein produziert, spricht das
letztendlich doch für das gesamte
Anbaugebiet. Der Rest ist Geschmackssache.“
Wohl bekomm’s!
Jahrgang 2011. Lagrein und Cabernet zeigen sich allerdings
etwas weniger dicht als der Vorjahreswein. Im Riserva-Bereich
heißt es noch abwarten.
The winery’s top wines are aged
STEPHan Filippi about THE 2012 vintage:
Kellerei Bozen’s WInes
Last year’s wines are now being bottled and the
2012 vintage is very promising. For the whites it will
surely be one of the great vintages. For Vernatsch
and Sankt Magdalener, it will be an interesting
vintage, better than 2011. The Pinot noir will be a
surprising top vintage while the heavy reds have a
somewhat smaller production than 2011. Lagrein
and Cabernet are a little bit less firm than the previous
year. And as for the ‘Riservas’, we’ll just have to
wait and see!
White wines: Pinot blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon,
Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer,
Müller Thurgau and Silvaner
Red wines: Sankt Magdalener, Pinot noir, Lagrein,
Merlot, Cabernet, Goldmuskateller
Auf den Spuren der Gletscher – Ausstellung im MMM bis 17. November 2013
Die Berge sind seine Leidenschaft. Bergsteigen, Klettern, Skitouren und
immer wieder fotografieren. Fabiano Ventura will durch seine Arbeit zu
Nachhaltigkeit aufrufen, will aufmerksam machen auf das, was weitab
In zwei Jahren
sind die Veränderungen weniger augenscheinlich;
Fabiano Ventura: Ich kannte Reinhold Messner schon
erhoffe. Gerade junge Menschen möchte ich ansprechen,
in ihnen will ich Emotionen wecken.
I
Ventura ha fondato l’associazione no profit Macromicro
quest’estate in Alaska.
2019, nelle Alpi.
bm: Lei è di Roma. Com’è si è avvicinato alle montagne?
Fabiano Ventura: Da ragazzo e fino all’età di 24 anni
la mia grande passione è stata l’astronomia. Cercavo
cieli limpidi e tersi, senza inquinamento luminoso.E’
e come straordinaria risorsa d’acqua dolce. Vedo
vissuto nell’Ottocento o all’inizio del Novecento come
Vittoria Sella, Ardito Desio e Massimo Terzani?
Negli archivi, nelle biblioteche. Bisogna vedere centinaia
Mano a mano
Fabiano Ventura: Conoscevo già Reinhold Messner, sapevo
On the trail of the glaciers
Photos, then and now
The mountains are his passion. He goes climbing, he does ski-tours and goes
hiking. But that’s not all. Fabiano Ventura is a professional photographer and
through his work he tries to raise awareness among the general public of the
importance of environmental issues and sustainable development.
Ventura founded Macromicro, a no-profit association, and
initiated the project „On the trail of the glaciers“, a multidisciplinary
project juxtaposing historical photographs of
glaciers with new ones taken from the same spot and at
the same time of the year in order to highlight the effects
that climate change is having on the planet’s biggest
glaciers.
GB
bm: The glacier project is very much a long-term one...
Fabiano Ventura: Yes, in fact the first expedition in
2009 took us to the Karakorum, in the Himilayas, in
2011 it was the turn of the Caucasus, and now I’m
finalising the preparations for the next expedition,
which this summer will take us to Alaska. Then it will
be the turn of the Andes in 2015, The year 2017 sees
us again in the Himilayas and finally in 2019 we’ll be in
the Alps.
bm: You are originally from Rome – how come you
became interested in mountains?
Fabiano Ventura: Until the age of 24, my big passion
was astronomy. I sought out clear night skies,
without light pollution, and that’s how I got to know the
mountains.
bm: And your passion for glaciers?
Fabiano Ventura: I’ve always been interested in
environmental issues. My passion for the mountains
went hand in hand with my passion for these beautiful
glaciers and the realisation of how important they
are, both to safeguard our planet and as a major
freshwater resource. I see the quickening pace of
climate change, with severe droughts and torrential
I believe in the power of the image. I feel the need
visiting these places, the Himilayas, the Caucasus and
the other ranges. I hope to raise people’s awareness
and nudge them in the direction of a development
which is sustainable.
Fabiano Ventura goes on to talk about how he tries to
find the exact spot where the old photographs were
taken, in order to be able to take an identical modern picture,
thereby highlighting how the glaciers, and mountain
landscapes generally, have changed. His friendship with
Reinhold Messner has led to his decision to exhibit his
pictures in the Messner Mountain Museum.
bm: How did you get the idea of returning to old photos
taken by fanous 19th and early-20th century Italian
photographers, such as Vittorio Sella, Ardito Desio
and Massimo Terzani?
Fabiano Ventura: I was in the Karakorum for the first
time in 2004 and already then I became aware of
how far those early photographers travelled to take
their pictures. I then decided to enhance the work of
glaciologists and scientists with highly-professional
photography, not for aesthetic reasons, but in order to
communicate a message, which I think is best
done using images.
Wald. Auch die Schlägerzeit ist
von Bedeutung für die Herstellung
eines Fasses. Vor der Verwendung
muss das Holz drei bis vier Jahre
gelagert werden. „Die Inhaltsstoffe
des Holzes müssen Zeit haben zu
reifen. In Südtirol haben wir das
ideale Klima dafür“, erklärt Peter
Mittelberger. Die richtige Menge
an Regen, damit die Gerbstoffe
ausgewaschen werden und das
Holz nicht spröde wird, trockene
Luft, die Temperaturunterschiede
zwischen Tag und Nacht, reichlich
Sonne.
Vor der Lagerung muss das Holz
gespalten und geschnitten werden,
bevor es in der Werkstatt
zum Fass verarbeitet wird. Die einzelnen
Fassdauben sind je nach
Größe des Fasses bis zu zehn cm
dick. Die Dauben werden ohne Nut
und Feder aneinander gepresst,
zwischen die einzelnen Holstücke
kommt Schilf. Allein der Druck der
Metallreifen dichtet das Fass. Leim
und ähnliches darf natürlich nicht
verwendet werden. Im Betrieb Mittelberger
arbeiten neben der Bürokraft
vier Tischlergesellen, die ihrer Arbeit mit
großer Leidenschaft nachgehen.
Nach dem Zusammenbau des Fasses muss
das Holz auf offenem Feuer geröstet werden.
Ein äußerst delikater Arbeitsgang, der große Erfahrung
erfordert.
sette, otto anni. “Anche se in teoria
una botte può durare cinquanta o
anche cento anni,” precisa Peter.
Per costruire una botte ci vuole
del tempo. I fratelli Mittelberger
comprano solo legna di prima qualità
da produzione sostenibile. Selezionano
tronco per tronco. Scelgono
il legno già nel bosco. Per
la qualità della botte è importante
scegliere bene il momento in cui
abbattere l’albero. I bottai tagliano
il legno in doghe prima di farlo
maturare tra tre e quattro anni. “La
maturazione è molto importante per
le sostanze contenute nel legno”,
spiega Peter Mittelberger. “In Alto
Adige abbiamo un clima ideale, la
giusta quantità di pioggia per lavare
via l’eccesso di acido tannico,
una relativa secchezza dell’aria, la
temperatura giusta e tanto sole.”
Le singole doghe destinate all’assemblaggio
sono - a seconda della
botte che andranno a formare – di
spessore variabile e possono arrivare
anche a dieci centimetri. Vengono
unite senza scanalature, solo
doga. E’ grazie alla pressione dei
tre, talvolta quattro, anelli di metallo
che stringono la botte che le doghe
vengono tenute insieme fino a
raggiungere la caratteristica forma
che tutti conosciamo. Dopo l’assemblaggio
c’è il passaggio forse
più importante dell’intera procedura:
la tostatura lenta e prolungata
della botte, un processo molto delicato
che richiede grande esperienza
e che dura tra le sette e le otto
ore. Il fuoco della tostatura viene
acceso all’interno della botte con il
legno della botte stessa. Nei mesi
di agosto e di settembre il fuoco
nella bottega dei Mittelberger illumina
tutte le notti.
A customer has to wait between five
to twelve months for his barrels to
be delivered. This means that normally
barrels are ordered a year in
advance. A barrique barrel is usually
replaced every seven to eight years,
„even if a good barrel lasts 50 to 100
years as long as it is looked after properly“
as Peter Mitterberger says.
Making barrels is a slow process.
The Mitterberger brothers only
buy their wood from sustainable
sources and choose each log carefully.
They buy the wood when it
is still a tree in the forest, and it is
they who decide when it is to be felled.
The wood then has to age for
between three and four years: „the
wood must have time to mellow –
and here in South Tyrol we have
the ideal climate, with just the right
amount of rain to wash out the tannins,
combined with the right day
and night-time temperatures, together
with plenty of sun“.
Before it can be stored, the wood
has to be split and cut and only then
can it be used to make a barrel. The
individual staves (planed planks)
can be up to 10cm thick, depending
on the size of the barrel. The
staves are pressed together without
using grooves, river-reeds are used
between the staves and the barrel
becomes sealed only because
of the tightness of the iron-hoops
around the barrel. Glue is taboo. After
it has been assembled, the barrel
has to be toasted or charred over
an open fire – a very delicate operation,
requiring a lot of experience.
The fire is made with the same wood
that the barrel is made of, usually
oak, acacia or cherry, and must be
kept under control for 6-8 hours. It
mustn’t be too hot but not too cold,
either. In the busy period, in August
and September, the fires sometimes
burn through the night.
Wooden barrels require a lot of
care when in use. After they have
been emptied, they require careful
cleaning with water and steam. So
next time you drink a glass of barrique-aged
wine, spare a thought
for the master-cooper who
created the barrel. Cheers!
Januar 1363 an
ANNO 1363, LA CESSIONE COATTA.
ACCADDE A BOLzanO
dell‘appena ventenne Mainardo III a Castel
Adige sarebbe stata completamente diversa negli
anni a seguire. Studiosi famosi, criminologi, storici
A tale proposito spicca l’esposizione
Botsch-Rossi.
scalata sociale fino ad arrivare all‘élite dell‘aristocrazia.
New exhibition in Schloss Runkelstein
THE Year 1363. THE forced TRansfer of Tyrol
TO THE HapsbuRGS. CRIME scene: Bolzano
New exhibition in Schloss Runkelstein which sheds new light on important
historical events which changed the course of Tyrol’s history.
The exhibition in Schloss Runkelstein (until 31 October
2013) presents the turbulent events of that year
650 years ago as a ‘whodunnit’. The splendid castle,
situated just outside the centre of Bolzano, is home
to one of the world’s largest and best-preserved cycles
of secular medieval frescoes.
The focus of the exhibition is on the sudden death on
13 January of 20-year-old Count Meinhard III of Tyrol at
his ancestral castle of Schloss Tyrol after he had been
powers including Bavaria’s Wittelsbachs and Austria’s
Hapsburgs to incorporate the Tyrol into their sphere
of influence. Had Meinhard III not died so young, the
subsequent history of Tyrol would most probably have
been very different. Famous scholars, criminologists,
medical and economic historians, archaeologists,
pathologists and psychologists analyse the events of
1363 and the first years of Tyrol under the Hapsburgs.
One part of the exhibition delves into medieval
murders and poisons, while another deals with the
second marriage of Meinhard III’s mother, Countess
Margarethe, which was not recognised by the Catholic
church and for which she was excommunicated,
despite pleas from learned scholars of the time, such
as William of Ockham, a renegade English Franciscan
monk under the protection of the Bavarian Wittelsbachs.
A manuscript written by him is on display.
GB
Another important aspect of the exhibition was the
part played by Florentine families in Bolzano. One
such was the Botsch-Rossi family, who, as a result
of the events of 1363 were catapulted into the aristocracy.
Their success was emulated by other local
families such as the Vintlers, who came into Schloss
Runkelstein and were responsible for the remarkable
frescoes we see today.
The exhibition is accompanied by a highlyinformative
catalogue.
I
piccolo sforzo di attendere le ore 22 ai pIedi del Museion;
Ciprianmuseran (Dej, 1977, vive e a lavoraa Cluj, Romania)
Marco Raparelli a settembre.
Descrizione dei lavori: L’artista americano IanTweedy
(Hahn, Germania, 1982 vive e lavora a New York) ria-
Describing
visions
Imagine a lazy summer’s evening, a meadow still warm from the day’s sun,
the gentle murmering of the river in the background and an enormous screen
in front of you, with graphic lines being drawn, as if by a magician’s hand.
GB
The facade of the Museion is
transformed into a gigantic screen
on four nights each month, from
June to September, each time
from 10-12pm. The images will be
projected onto both sides of the
Museion, the Talfer side and the
town side. The event is entitled „A
line describing the surface, Museion
Media Facade 2013“.
The gigantic screen kept spectators
spellbound already last summer.
This summer sees projectons
of graphic artwork, with four different
artists working with their
projections onto this transparent
membrane of glass and metal.
The season starts in June with the
American Ian Tweedy, in July it’s the
turn of South Tyrolean Brigitte Mahlknecht,
to be followed in August
by Ciprian Muresan and in September
by Marco Raparelli. These
big-screen summer night projections
were inspired by British artist
Anthony McCall (‚A line describing
a cone‘) who uses lines of light in
exhibition halls.
Once it gets dark, the slats on both facades of the
Museion close, screens roll down and a total of 36
video-projectors placed at different points inside the
Museion transform the facade into a new exhibition
surface.
The clear lines of the building, the animated graphics
and the special architecture of the Museion cube
create a new dimension for the projections. Every
month on four nights a different artist will bring the facade
to life with their performances. Depending on
the project, some performances will be projected on
both sides simultaneously, or differently. The benches
in the Talfer meadow and in front of the main entrance
are equipped with speakers which accentuate
the performances with sound.
Die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff
I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff
ERLEBNISWELT TRAUTTMANSDORFF
Die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff,
eine einzigartige Erlebniswelt zwischen
Natur, Kultur und Kunst, faszinieren Saison
für Saison rund 400.000 Schaulustige.
Informativ, lehrreich und mit einem fröhlichen
Augenzwinkern präsentiert die Anlage
eine Vielzahl bunter Gartenwelten aus mannigfaltigen
Perspektiven. Schönheit, Vielfalt,
Qualität sowie Innovationsgeist der Gärten
führten 2013 zur Auszeichnung als „Internationaler
Garten des Jahres“.
Eine besonders phantasievolle Perspektive auf
die Welt der Pflanzen zeigt die „Botanische
Unterwelt“, die tief im Fels Schaurig-skurriles
aus der Sicht von Wurzel und Knolle
berichtet. Das Landesmuseum für Tourismusgeschichte
im Schloss, Touriseum, feiert 2013
seinen 10. Geburtstag. Die Sonderausstellung
Urlaub/Vacanze 2.0 fragt sich, wohin die rasanten
Entwicklungen des Tourismus der letzten
10 Jahre wohl hinführt. In neuem Glanz
erstrahlen einige der Schlossräume: Illustre
Bewohner von Schloss Trauttmansdorff, darunter
Kaiserin Sissi, erzählen von sich.
Das besondere Gartenerlebnis erlauben die
Veranstaltungen in den Sommermonaten:
Beim „Frühstück bei Sissi“ genießen die
Gartengäste einen ausgiebigen Brunch auf der
berühmten Sissi-Terasse. Das italienweit etablierte
World Music Festival „Gartennächte“
bringt wieder hochkarätige Weltmusik auf die
Bühne im Seerosenteich und lässt die Nacht
zum Tag werden.
Sinnlich wird es bei „Trauttmansdorff nach
Feierabend“: Führungen im milden Abendlicht,
kulinarische Highlights im Restaurant Schlossgarten
und ein gepflegter Aperitivo Lungo mit
junger Südtiroler Live-Musik am Seerosenteich
machen die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff
unvergesslich.
UN AVVINCENTE MONDO DI ESPERIENZE
AL TRAUTTMANSDORFF
I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff, uno straordinario
intreccio di esperienze, tra natura,
cultura e arte, incantano ogni stagione circa
400.000 visitatori. Divulgando conoscenze e
prima d’ora emozioni e curiosità riguardanti
Il World Music Festival “Serate
I Giardini sanno come rendersi indimenticabili.
