Siamo felici che il rilancio di una gara così fortemente
legata alla storia del ciclismo piemontese vada di
pari passo con la sua crescita qualitativa, grazie alla
presenza di atleti di calibro internazionale. L’edizione
2010 sarà, anche, uno degli ultimi appuntamenti prima
della pausa di fine anno e darà la possibilità, ai tanti
appassionati, di ammirare qui in Piemonte campioni del
ciclismo mondiale, lanciando allo stesso tempo il conto
alla rovescia per l’attesissima partenza da Torino del
Giro d’Italia 2011, in occasione delle celebrazioni del
150° Anniversario dell’Unità Nazionale.
Infine e da non sottovalutare, con il suo itinerario
ridisegnato di anno in anno, Gran Piemonte è, anche,
l’occasione per unire l’aspetto sportivo a quello
turistico, dandoci la possibilità di valorizzare, in ogni
edizione, “inquadrature” diverse del nostro splendido
territorio.

La corsa è sostanzialmente pianeggiante
per i primi 125 km.
Si attraversa la pianura padana lungo
stradoni rettilinei salvo brevi ondulazioni
con qualche passaggio denso di
curve per il superamento del Monferrato.
dopo Santo Stefano Belbo inizia
un settore di 50 km di saliscendi
fino al primo passaggio sul traguardo
di Cherasco. Si superano le salite di
Benevello, Montelupo d’Alba e di La
Morra, salite che si svolgono su strade
di montagna con carreggiata un
po’ ristretta e curve in successione.
Le discese tecniche presentano a volte
pendenze anche importanti. A Cherasco
inizia il circuito finale di 18,3
km caratterizzato soprattutto dallo
strappo finale all’ultimo chilometro
che viene affrontato anche prima del
passaggio sulla linea di arrivo.

Les 125 premiers kilomètres de la
course se déroulent essentiellement en
terrain plat. La course franchit la plaine
du Pô le long de larges routes bien
droites à l’exception de quelques brèves
ondulations et de courts segments avec
de nombreux virages lors de la traversée
du Monferrato. Après le franchissement
de Santo Stefano Belbo commence
un parcours de 50km de montées et
descentes, et ce jusqu’au premier passage
sur la ligne de Cherasco. Les coureurs
affrontent les montées de Benevello,
Montelupo d’Alba et de La Morra.
Celles-ci se déroulent sur des routes de
montagne à chaussée légèrement rétrécie
et avec une succession de virages. Les
descentes techniques présentent des
déclivités qui peuvent être importantes. A
Cherasco débute le circuit final de 18,3
km qui se caractérise principalement par
le décrochage final du dernier kilomètre
à affronter avant même le premier
passage sur la ligne d’arrivée.

along wide straight roads, except for
light ground undulations and some
segments dense with curves during
the crossing of the Monferrato area.
Past Santo Stefano Belbo begins a 50
km long route made of ups and downs
climbs, and thus until the first crossing
of the Cherasco line. riders will have
to start uphill Benevello, Montelupo
d’Alba and La Morra. Uphill climbs
which unfold on mountain roads with
slightly narrow tracks and a series
of bends. The technical downhill
roads may also occasionally present
steep slopes. The 18,3 kilometres
final circuit starts from Cherasco and
features the peculiar final spurt of the
last kilometre, which has to be crossed
even before the first passage on the

Cossato è il secondo comune della provincia
biellese per importanza demografica ed
economica, posto in un’area strategica
per il collegamento con la Valsesia, i
laghi piemontesi e lombardi e il Biellese
orientale. Lo sviluppo industriale con la
forte immigrazione, specialmente veneta,
ha trasformato la città, favorendo la crescita
edilizia e quindi lo sviluppo di nuove aree
residenziali: la popolazione è passata dai
4.762 abitanti del 1901 agli attuali 15.000.
Conosciuta in epoca romana come Causade
o Causate, da realtà agricola e artigianale
nell’ottocento si trasformò in un centro
di industrializzazione tessile e laniera che
perdura tutt’oggi. Il patrimonio artistico e
architettonico di Cossato presenta la chiesa
di Santa Maria Assunta (XVII secolo)
ricca di opere pittoriche, la settecentesca
Villa ranzoni, recentemente ristrutturata
e ora sede dell’Archivio storico, del
Centro di documentazione del Biellese
rurale, della fototeca, della Biblioteca
Civica e dell’Informagiovani. In frazione
Castellengo si trovano invece la chiesa
medievale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, il
Castello di Castellengo, costruito nel X
secolo, e l’ecomuseo del Cossatese e delle
Baragge che ospita una ricca collezione
di oggetti testimonianti ambienti e attività
della civiltà rurale cossatese. Per chi ama
la natura, sono interessanti le escursioni al
Parco della Pianetta o alla riserva Naturale
orientata delle Baragge (Castellengo) e le
vicine Prealpi Biellesi. Fiore all’occhiello è
l’esistenza di un progetto scolastico unico
in tutta Italia: “Lingua Italiana dei Segni
(LIS) - Lingua Italiana” per l’integrazione
dei bambini sordi nella scuola comune.
Il progetto considera i sordi come una
minoranza linguistica, con una propria
lingua (Lingua Italiana dei Segni - LIS)
ed una propria cultura; prevede quindi la
coesistenza di alunni sordi e udenti, per
reperire le possibilità residue ed impedire
che la minorazione sensoriale si traduca in
handicap intellettivo. L’esperienza cossatese,
iniziata nel 1994 in via sperimentale, è una
realtà consolidata che coinvolge scuole
materne, elementari, medie e superiori
attirando iscrizioni da tutta Italia.

COSSATO COSSATO
Cossato est la deuxième ville de la province de Biella par
importance démographique et économique, située dans un
cadre stratégique pour le raccordement à la Valsesia, à l’est
Biella et aux lacs du Piémont et de la Lombardie.
Le développement industriel à forte immigration,
en particulier de la Vénétie, a transformé la ville; le
développement de bâtiment a de nouvelles zones
résidentielles; la population a augmenté, passant de
4.762 habitants en 1901 à 15.000 actuels. C’était une
réalité agricole et artisanale connue en temps romains
comme Causade ou Causate; au dix-neuvième siècle est
devenue un centre de l’industrialisation du textile et de
la laine qui perdure encore aujourd’hui. Le patrimoine
artistique et architectural de Cossato présente l’église
de Santa Maria Assunta (du XVII siècle très riche en
oeuvres picturales), la villa ranzoni du XVIIIe siècle,
récemment restaurée, qui abrite aujourd’hui les Archives
historiques du Centre de documentation de Biella rural, la
photothèque, la Bibliothèque civique et Informagiovani.
Au village de Castellengo se trouve l’église médiévale des
Saints Pierre et Paul, le château de Castellengo, bâti au
Xe siècle, l’ecomuseo du Cossatese et des Baragge: une
riche collection d’objets qui témoignent les activités de la
civilisation rurale du Cossatese. Les amoureux de la nature
peuvent se promener au parc et à la réserve naturelle de
Pianetta Baragge (Castellengo) et les Alpes Biella. Le bijou
est l’existence d’un projet d’école unique en Italie;”la langue
italienne des signes (LIS), pour l’intégration des enfants
sourds dans les écoles ordinaires. Le projet considère les
sourds une minorité linguistique, avec sa propre langue (la
langue italienne des signes - LIS) et sa propre culture; on
prévoit ainsi la coexistence des étudiants sourds avec les
autres pour empêcher la déficience sensorielle à devenir une
déficience intellectuelle. Cette expérience, commencée en
1994, est aujourd’hui bien établie et implique pré-écoles,
écoles élémentaire, moyennes qui accueillent beaucoup
d’étudiants de toute l’Italie.

Cossato is the second municipality of Biella’s province

hearing people studying together to improve the abilities
of deaf students and to avoid that this disability becomes

Capoluogo di provincia di 46mila
abitanti, Vërsèj è città decorata per
la causa risorgimentale e teatro di
lotte partigiane durante la Seconda
guerra mondiale. Da segnalare la
piazza principale (Cavour), dominata
dalla medievale Torre dell’Angelo,
e la Basilica romanica-gotica di
Sant’Andrea. Nei primi decenni del
secolo scorso serbatoio della nazionale
di calcio (Ferraris, Piola, Cavanna:
tutti campioni del mondo) e scudettata
ben 7 volte, Vercelli è sinonimo di
risaie: qui, come nel biellese, si
produce il Riso di Baraggia, unico
italiano a marchio Dop.

ASTI
Situata nella valle del fiume Tanaro,
Ast vanta il più vasto patrimonio basso
medievale del Piemonte. Ha dato i natali al
poeta Vittorio Alfieri, a Guido Notari (voce
storica dell’Eiar, poi Rai), al direttore e
compositore Gianni Basso e, nel sobborgo
Trincere, al Diavolo rosso Giovanni Gerbi.
Primo ciclista italiano in gara al Tour de
France nel 1904, l’anno successivo Gerbi
si aggiudicò l’edizione d’esordio del Giro di
Lombardia. Nel 1984 il concittadino Paolo
Conte gli ha dedicato la canzone Diavolo
rosso. Nella provincia di Asti viene prodotta
la Robiola di Roccaverano Dop, formaggio
a pasta morbida a base di latte di capra,
vacca e pecora.
SANTO STEFANO BELBO
Con il passaggio della corsa
a Santo Stefano (compreso di
Traguardo volante) si entra
ufficialmente nel cuneese,
porzione di Piemonte in cui
si trovano i formaggi Bra,
Murazzano, Castelmagno
e Raschera, il Crudo e la
Castagna di Cuneo e la celebre
Nocciola del Piemonte, tutti
prodotti Dop. Qui si vinificano
uve Nebbiolo (Brunello e
Barbaresco), Dolcetto e Langhe,
base bianca per l’Arneis.

MONTELUPO ALBESE
In cima a questa salita di 500 metri
si dominano le bellissime colline
delle Langhe, punto di riferimento
per il turismo enogastronomico.
Oltre a vini, salumi e formaggi,
merita una menzione il Tartufo
bianco d’Alba (che Gioacchino
Rossini definì “il Mozart dei
funghi”), considerato il più pregiato
e costoso al mondo.
GRINZANE DI CAVOUR
Grinzane è dominato da un castello
medievale appartenuto alla famiglia
di Camillo Benso di Cavour, primo
Presidente del Consiglio del Regno
d’Italia (1861) e sindaco del paese
per 17 anni (1832-1849). Ha
ospitato fino al 2008 il prestigioso
Premio letterario Grinzane di Cavour.

LA MORRA
è considerato il paese dell’oro
rosso, il Barolo. Infatti, oltre
alla produzione vinicola, è
meta di un fiorente turismo
enogastronomico. In centro è
possibile ammirare la Chiesa
di San Rocco, la Parrocchiale
(un’imponente chiesa barocca
dedicata a San Martino) e la
Cantina Comunale, ricavata
nei locali settecenteschi
del palazzo dei marchesi di
Barolo. Nei dintorni sorgono

Situated in the Tanaro valley, Ast owns the
biggest Piedmont heritage of low middle
age. It’s the birthplace of the poet Vittorio
Alfieri, the commentator Guido Notari

suburb Trincere, the red devil, (Diavolo
rosso), Giovanni Gerbi. Gerbi was the first
Italian cyclist at the Tour de France (1904),

CHERASCO
di origine medievale (1243), Cherasco
(Cuneo) fu in mano ad Angioini e Visconti
e in balìa di spagnoli e francesi fino al 1559,
quando passò definitivamente ai Savoia. Nel
1630 la peste si diffuse in tutto il Piemonte
e Cherasco, immune dal contagio, ospitò la
corte con tutto il seguito. L’anno seguente
soggiornarono i plenipotenziari di Austria,
Francia, Spagna, Mantova e Monferrato,
il cardinale Mazzarino e il re Vittorio
Amedeo I. Nell’occasione venne firmato
il trattato che pose fine alla guerra per la
successione di Mantova e Monferrato.
Nel 1706 la corte, ritiratasi da Torino
assediata dai francesi, soggiornò ancora a
Cherasco e, sempre qui, nel 1796 è firmato
l’armistizio tra Vittorio Amedeo III e la
Francia, con conseguente sconfitta dello
Stato Sabaudo e la consegna di Cherasco a
Napoleone. Situata 288 metri sopra il livello
del mare, sulla terrazza fluviale formata
dalla Stura di demonte e dal Tanaro, conta
circa 8.350 abitanti e conserva la struttura

Cité Médiévale (1243), Cherasco (Cuneo) était entre
les domains d’Anjou et de Visconti et à la merci des
espagnols et des Français de la première moitié du ‘500
jusqu’en 1559, quand il devient finalement la Maison
de Savoie. en 1630, à la propagation de la peste dans le
Piémont Cherasco, à l’abri de la contagion, accueilli la
cour avec tous les suivants.
L’année suivante y demeurent les plénipotentiaires
de l’Autriche, la France, l’espagne, Mantoue et le
Montferrat, le cardinal Mazarin et le roi Victor-Amédée
qu’en signant le traité de paix mettait fin à la guerre
pour la succession de Mantoue et du Monferrato. en
1706, la Cour, à la retraite de Turin assiégée par les
Français, s’établi à Cherasco et toujours là, en 1796,
Victor-Amédée III et la France ont signé un armistice à
la suite de la défaite de l’ etat de Savoie et la reddition
de Cherasco à Napoléon. Situé à 288 mètres d’altitude,
sur la terrasse formée par la rivière Stura di demonte et
Tanaro, compte environ 8.350 habitants et maintient la
structure à castrum romain: un carré avec deux grands
districts perpendiculaires qui divisent la ville en quatre
quartiers. Plusieurs foyers ont conservé les vestiges
antiques, caractérisées par de belles façades, intérieurs
somptueux, jardins et puits. Certes historiques l’hôtel
de Ville, avec ses arcs gothiques et ses décoration de
la quinzième et seizième, la Tour Civique, l’église de
Saint- Augustin (réalisées entre 1672 et 1677), l’Arc
de Belvedere (1647-1688), le Sanctuaire Baroque de
la Madonna del Popolo, le Musée Adriani avec des
chambres décorées de fresques par Taricco, l’église de
Saint-Pierre (contemporaine de la fondation de la ville),
le Palais Salmatoris, où ont sejourné Napoléon, le
Savoy, le Saint Suaire et le château Visconti.
Aujourd’hui Cherasco est célèbre pour ses marchés
d’antiquités, ses expositions d’art à Palazzo Salmatoris
et, pour les gourmands, pour les escargots et les Baci di
Cherasco, chocolats noir aux noix.

Il circuito finale di 18.3 km porta in falsopiano in salita a Narzole dove
una breve discesa con due tornanti porta al fondovalle del fiume Tanaro.
A 2 km dall’arrivo si affronta una rotatoria dall’ampio diametro, seguita
da una più piccola dove inizia la salita finale. Lo strappo che porta dentro
l’abitato di Cherasco misura 1.000 m al 6.3% di media (due tornanti –
sinistra-destra), con un picco attorno al 9% dopo l’ultimo tornante che
coincide con l’ultimo chilometro. Superato lo strappo la strada resta
pianeggiante all’interno di vie cittadine, con l’ultima svolta ad angolo
retto ai 200 m dall’arrivo (su asfalto larghezza 6 m).
Le circuit final de 18.3 km, mène le long d’un faux plat
en côte à Narzole, où une courte descente avec deux
tournants conduit au fond de la vallée du fleuve Tanaro.
À 2 km de l’arrivée, la course rencontre une rotonde
de vaste diamètre, suivie d’une seconde, plus petite
d’où prend le départ la montée finale. Le décrochage
qui mène à l’agglomération de Cherasco mesure 1.000
m avec une pente à 6.3% de moyenne (deux tournants
- gauche-droite) avec un pic aux alentours de 9%
suivant le dernier tournant qui coïncide avec le dernier
kilomètre. Après le décrochage la route se retrouve
en terrain plat à l’intérieur du tracé urbain, avec un
dernier virage à angle droit à 200 m de l’arrivée (sur
chaussée asphaltée d’une largeur de 6 m).

The 18.3 km final circuit brings the riders on apparently
flat ground uphill to Narzole, from where a short
descent with two bends leads down in the valley of the
Tanaro river. At 2 km from the arrival the race reaches
a large diameter roundabout, followed by a smaller
one from which the final uphill climb starts. The spurt
that leads into the Cherasco urban area is 1.000 m long
with a 6.3% average steep (two bends - to the left-to the
right) with a peak reaching ca. 9% after the last curve
in correspondence with the last kilometre. Past the
spurt, the road remains on flat ground inside the urban
streets, showing a last right angle bend at a distance of
200 m prior to the finishing line (on a 6 m large asphalt
roadway).

MoNTe.
ARTICOLO 2 - Tipo di corsa
La corsa è riservata ai corridori della categoria
hommes elite ed è iscritta nel calendario UCI
europe Tour. La gara è nella classe 1.hC e conformemente
al regolamento UCI attribuisce i seguenti
punti per la classifica:
1° p.100 - 2° p.70 - 3° p.40 - 4° p.30 - 5° p.25 - 6°
p.20 - 7° p.15 - 8° p.10 - 9° p.9 - 10° p.8 - 11°
p.7 - 12° p.6 - 13° p.5 - 14° p.4 - 15° p.3 per la
classifica UCI Europe Tour.
ARTICOLO 3 - Partecipazione
Conformemente all’articolo 2.1.005 del regolamento
UCI, la corsa è per le seguenti squadre:
UCI Pro Teams, equipes Continentales Professionnelles
UCI e equipes Continentales UCI di
nazionalità italiana. Secondo l’articolo 2.2.003
del regolamento UCI il numero di corridori per
squadra stabilito è di massimo 8.
L’Organizzatore, al fine di salvaguardare l’immagine
e la reputazione della propria gara, si riserva
il diritto di rifiutare, fino al momento della partenza,
i corridori o i Gruppi Sportivi che con i propri
atti o dichiarazioni dimostrassero di venire meno
ai principi di lealtà sportiva agli impegni assunti
e previsti dal paragrafo 1.1.023 del regolamento
U.C.I. Inoltre nel caso che i corridori o il Gruppo
Sportivo venissero meno, nel corso della manifestazione,
ai principi di cui al precedente capoverso,
l’ente organizzatore si riserva anche il diritto
di escluderli dalla corsa in qualsiasi momento.
ARTICOLO 4 - Quartiertappa
Le operazioni preliminari si svolgeranno mercoledì
13 ottobre 2010 dalle ore 15.00 alle ore
18.00.
La verifica delle licenze, la conferma dei partenti
ed il ritiro dei numeri si svolgerà dalle ore 15.00
alle ore 16.45, mentre la riunione dei direttori
regolamento
Sportivi, organizzata secondo l’art. 1.2.087 del
regolamento UCI con il Collegio dei Commissari,
alle ore 17.00 presso Villa ranzoni in Via ranzoni,
24 a Cossato.
ARTICOLO 5 - Radioinformazioni
Le informazioni in corsa sono diffuse sulla frequenza
di 149,800 Mhz.
ARTICOLO 6 - Assistenza tecnica
Il servizio d’assistenza tecnica è assicurato da
Mavic con 3 vetture.
ARTICOLO 7 - Tempo massimo
I corridori con distacco che supera il 5% del tempo
del vincitore saranno considerati fuori tempo
massimo. Il tempo massimo può essere aumentato
in presenza di circostanze eccezionali dal
collegio dei commissari dopo consultazione con
l’organizzatore.

I premi della gara corrispondono al massimale
stabilito dalla U.C.I. - F.C.I.:

La tabella di cui sopra si riferisce al valore
che l’organizzazione mette a disposizione
dell’A.C.C.P.I. per la ripartizione agli associati
e/o ai deleganti.
ARTICOLO 9 - Controllo Medico
Il regolamento antidoping dell’UCI si applica
integralmente. Il controllo medico sarà effettuato
presso lo studio mobile all’arrivo secondo il regolamento
UCI - FCI e la legislazione vigente in
materia.
ARTICOLO 10 - Cerimoniale
Secondo l’articolo 1.2.112 del regolamento UCI
devono presentarsi al cerimoniale i primi tre della
prova 10 minuti dopo il loro arrivo. Il vincitore
della gara deve presentarsi in Sala Stampa.
ARTICOLO 11 - Sanzioni
Le sanzioni sono quelle previste dal regolamento
UCI.
ARTICOLO 12
Disposizioni generali
Possono seguire la corsa solo le persone dePossono
seguire la corsa solo le persone denunciate
all’atto del ritiro dei contrassegni dal titolare
del rispettivo automezzo. Eventuali modifiche
o aggiunte devono essere notificate al Direttore
dell’organizzazione. I conducenti delle
auto e delle moto accreditate devono rispettare
le norme del Codice della Strada e devono
altresì sottostare alle disposizioni del direttore
dell’organizzazione e dei suoi collaboratori.
Non possono seguire la corsa persone che non
vi abbiano funzioni riconosciute dagli organizzatori
e inerenti ai vari servizi, né persone di
minore età.
Nessuna responsabilità di nessuna natura fa
capo all’ente organizzatore per i danni derivati
da incidenti prima, durante e dopo la corsa a
spettatori e persone in genere, anche se estranee
alla manifestazione stessa, in dipendenza
di azioni non messe in atto dall’organizzazione
medesima.
Per quanto non contemplato nel presente regolamento
valgono i regolamenti UCI e FCI.
Article 1 - Organisation
L’épreuve 96° GrAN PIeMoNTe est organisée
par rCS SPorT S.p.A. - Via Solferino 28,

02.29009684 sous les règlements de l’Union
Cycliste Internationale. elle se dispute la jeudi 14
octobre 2010.
Article 2 - Type d’épreuve
L’épreuve est réservée aux athlètes des catégories
hommes elite. elle est inscrite au calendrier
UCI europe Tour. L’épreuve est classée en classe
1.hC. Conformément au règlement UCI, elle
attribue les points suivants:

Article 3 - Participation
Conformément à l’article 2.1.005 du règlement UCI,
l’épreuve est ouverte aux équipes suivantes: UCI
Pro Teams, equipes Continentales Professionnelles
UCI et equipes Continentales UCI de nationalitè
Italienne. Conformément à l’article 2.2.003 du règlement
UCI, le nombre de coureurs par équipe est de
maximum 8 coureurs. Dans tous les cas de figure et
afin de sauvegarder le prestige et la réputation de sa
manifestation, la Société organisatrice se réserve le
droit de récuser - et ce jusqu’au moment du départ
- les coureurs ou les Groupes Sportifs qui par leurs
actes ou leur déclarations manqueraient aux principes
de fair-play sportif résultant des engagements
pris et prévus au paragraphe 1.1.023 du règlement de
l’U.C.I. en outre, dans le cas où les coureurs ou les
Groupe Sportifs dérogeraient durant l’épreuve aux
principes figurant au paragraphe ci-dessus, la société
organisatrice se réserve le droit de les exclure immédiatement
de la course.
Article 4 - Permanence
La permanence de départ se tient mercredi le 13
octobre 2010 de 15.00h. à 18.00h.
La confirmation des partants et le retrait des dossards
par les responsables d’équipes se fait à la
permanence de 15.00h. à 16.45h.

La réunion des directeurs sportifs, organisée
suivant l’article 1.2.087 du règlement UCI, en
présence des Membres du Collège des Commissaires,
est fixée à 17.00h. et aura lieu au Villa Ranzoni
– Via ranzoni, 24 - CoSSATo
Article 5 - Radio-tour
Les informations courses sont émises sur la
fréquence 149,800 Mhz.
Article 6 - Assistance technique
Le service d’assistance technique neutre est assuré
par Mavic. Le service est assuré au moyen de
3 voitures.
Article 7 - Délais d’arrivée
Tout coureur arrivant dans un délai dépassant 5%
du temps du vainqueur n’est plus retenu au classement.
Le délai peut être augmenté en cas de circonstances
exceptionnelles par le Collège des Commissaires,
en consultation avec l’organisateur.
Article 8 - Prix
Les prix suivants sont attribués selon barème UCI

Le barême ci-dessus se rapporte à la valeur, mise à
disposition de l’A.C.C.P.I. par l’organisation aux
fins de répartition aux associés et/ou délégataires.
Article 9 - Antidopage
Le règlement antidopage de l’UCI s’applique intégralement
à la présente épreuve.
Le contrôle antidopage a lieu au cabinet médical à
l’arrivée selon le règlement UCI - FCI et suivant
la legislation en vigueur à l’égard.
Article 10 - Protocole
Conformément à l’article 1.2.112 du règlement
UCI, les coureurs suivants doivent se présenter au
protocole les 3 premiers de l’épreuve. Ils se présenteront
dans un délai de maximum de 10 minutes
après leur arrivée. Le vainqueur de l’epreuve
doit se présenter à la salle de presse.
Article 11 - Pénalités
Le barème de pénalités de l’UCI est le seul applicable.
Article 12
Dispositions generales
Ne seront autorisées à suivre la course que les
personnes indiquées lors de la remise des pièces
au titulaire du véhicule. Tout ajout ou éventuelle
modification devra être signalé au Directeur de
l’organisation. Les conducteurs des véhicules et
motos accrédités, doivent respecter les règles du
Code de la route ainsi que les dispositions du directeur
de l’organisation et de ses collaborateurs.
Ne sont en aucun cas autorisées à suivre la course
les personnes qui n’ont aucune fonction reconnue
par les organisateurs et inhérentes aux divers services,
de même que les mineurs d’âge. La Société
organisatrice ne pourra en aucun cas être tenue
responsable de dommages découlant d’accidents
survenus avant, pendant ou après la course à des
spectateurs ou autres personnes, même étrangères
à la manifestation, à la suite d’actions non
perpétrées par cette même organisation.
Pour tous les points non prévus au présent règlement,
les règlements UCI - FCI sont d’application.

edition of the GrAN PIedMoNT, which will
take place on Thursday, october 14, 2010.
Article 2 - Type of race
The race is reserved to cyclists belonging to the
Men elite category, and is recorded in the U.C.I
europe Tour calendar. The race falls within the
1.hC class, and in compliance with the UCI regulations
the points to be attributed for the place
list are as follows: 1st place 100 points - 2nd place
70 points - 3rd place 40 points - 4th place 30
points - 5th place 25 points - 6th place 20 points
- 7th place 15 points - 8th place 10 points - 9th
place 9 points - 10th place 8 points - 11th place 7
points - 12th place 6 points - 13th place 5 points
- 14th place 4 points - 15th place 3 points. For the
UCI europe Tour place list.
Article 3 - Participation
In compliance with the provisions of article
2.1.005 of the U.C.I regulations, the race is reserved
for the following teams: UCI Pro Teams,
UCI Continental Professional Teams and U.C.I
Continental Teams having the Italian citizenship.
According to article 2.2.003 of the U.C.I regulations
the established number of riders per team
shall be set in 8 maximum. The organizer, to the
purpose of safeguarding the image and the reputability
of its race, reserves the right to refuse, up
to the departure time, the riders or the Sporting
Groups which by their acts or declarations would
prove to neglect the principles of sport fair play
and the commitments undertaken and set forth
in paragraph 1.1.023 of the U.C.I. regulations.
Moreover, in the event the racers or the Sporting
Group would fail, during the race, in complying
with the principles set out in the foregoing paragraph,
the organizer shall also reserve the right
to exclude them from the race at any time.
ArtICLE 4 - race headquarters
The preliminary operations will take place on

Wednesday, october 13, 2010, from 3.00 pm to
6.00 pm. The verification of the licenses, the confirmation
of the departing racers and the collection
of the numbers will take place from 3.00 pm to
4.45 pm, while the Sporting Managers’ Meeting
with the College of Juries, organized according to
the provision of article 1.2.087 of the U.C.I regulations,
will take place at 5.00 pm on the premises
of Villa ranzoni in Via ranzoni, 24 in Cossato.
Article 5 – Radio information
race news are broadcasted on the 149,800 Mhz
frequency.
Article 6 - Technical Assistance
The technical assistance services is ensured by
Mavic with 3 servicing cars.
Article 7 – Maximum time
racers with a gap higher than 5% of the winner’s
time will be considered as out of time limit.
The time limit can be increased by the Commissaries,
in case of exceptional circumstances and
after consulting with the organizer.

The above chart refers to the value that the organization
makes available to the A.C.C.P.I. for the
distribution to the associate and/or to the delegating
parties.
Article 9 – Medical Check-up
The UCI antidoping regulation fully applies.
The medical check-up will be made upon arrival,
at the mobile clinic, according to the U.C.I – F.C.I
regulations and to the applicable law provisions
in force.
Article 10 – Awards Ceremony
According to the provisions of article 1.2.112 of
the U.C.I Regulations the first three racers arrived
shall attend the award ceremony 10 minutes after
their arrival. The winner shall present himself in
the Press room.
Article 11 – Sanctions
Applying sanctions are those set forth in the U.C.I
regulations.
Article 12 – General Provisions
Only persons identified upon collection of the
identification sign by the owner of the relevant
motor vehicle are entitled to follow the race.
Possible changes or additions shall be notified
to the organization Manager. drivers of duly
identified cars and motorbikes shall comply
with the provisions set forth by the rules of the
road and shall furthermore comply with the rules
set out by the organization Manager and his
collaborators. Persons who are not recognized
as having roles acknowledged by the organizers
and services-related functions as well as underage
persons are not allowed to follow the race.
The organization shall not be liable in any way
whatsoever for damages deriving from accidents
occurred prior, during and after the race
and deriving from actions not ascribable to the
same organization, to persons in general, even if
unrelated with the race.
For all that is not regulated under this ruling the
U.C.I and F.C.I regulations shall apply.
