Nubirox 301,inibitore di corrosione “ecocompatibile”ed esente da zinco, soddisfa le esigenzedi ecocompatibilità attuali e future oltreai re<strong>qui</strong>siti prestazionali dettati daquesta applicazione. Si tratta di uncomplesso fosfato di calcio e stronzioformulato in un nucleo di silicato.I cationi del calcio e dello stronzio fornisconoun’inibizione anodica diretta,mentre l’alcalinità del nucleo silicato offreuna buona inibizione catodica.Questa composizione chimica agisce all’internodella formulazione del primera base acida e reagisce con l’acido fosforicoper formare uno strato passivocome da fig. 3.Oltre all’azione chimica esercitata daquesto inibitore di corrosione, Nubirox301 presenta una morfologia unicadelle particelle, granulometria media euna distribuzione fine delle stesse (fig.4 ), da cui deriva una struttura del pigmentopiù uniforme e un’eccellenteprestazione del film di basso spessore.È ideale per il settore di mercato dei primera base acida, dal momento che essoviene applicato a uno spessore tipico delfilm secco pari a meno di 1 mil (25 μ).È caratterizzato inoltre da un’eccellentestabilità strutturale, associata a Nubirox301 in questo sistema.ConclusioniNubirox 301, aggiunto nella quantitàpercentuale del 3.0 % t.f.w. in uno washprimer a base acida PVB, modificato conADDITIVESIn accelerated corrosion testing, overall thebest results were seen with the addition ofNubirox 301 at 3.0% t.f.w. Nubirox 301, inboth Salt Spray and Prohesion tests and onall substrates, showed better adhesion promotion,less field corrosion, and comparableto improved scribe rust inhibition incomparison to the control utilizing 5% byt.f.w. standard zinc phosphate on. Nubirox301 at 3.0% t.f.w. also had comparable toimproved results to the etch primer containing5.5% by t.f.w. zinc tetraoxy chromate.The Salt Spray (ASTM B-117) testingwas pulled after 309 hours and the CyclicQUV/Prohesion (ASTM D 5894) testing waspulled after 537 hours. As stated previously,each panel was rated via ASTM D-610 forpanel corrosion, ASTM D-1654 for scribecorrosion, and ASTM D 714 for panel/scribeblister. Data Tables 1 through 6 give the detailedratings of the experiments that exhibitedthe best results. The blister ratingsare as follows: F (for few), M (for medium),MD (for medium dense), and D (for dense)– along with a number to designate the percentof area affected. The field rust ratingranges from 10 (being no area affected) to0 (being over 50 percent rusted).
