INSTRUCTIONS FROM SCRB<br />

� Criminal Intelligence Gazette is being sent to all the State Police forces besides all<br />

police stations in Himachal Pradesh. There may be occasions where the victim may<br />

be suspected to be present in some places outside the state or some other district<br />

within Himachal Pradesh. Hence all the police stations hereafter shall inform the<br />

names of places, if any where the victim is likely to be detained/kept/gone in respect<br />

of Missing persons, Abducted and Kidnapped persons. SCRB is planning to<br />

incorporate the details in Criminal Intelligence Gazette.<br />

� SCRB is contemplating to disseminate the information upto Police Station level on<br />

daily basis. The details of CIG items received in SCRB will be sent to all the distt.<br />

SsP in the state. IGP CID-Cum-Director SCRB desired that the information on<br />

crime shall be disseminated by DCRBx upto police station level. The success of<br />

dissemination will depend upon the timely furnishing of information by Distt. SsP<br />

to SCRB. Hence the information on details of Man Missing cases, Un-Identified<br />

dead bodies, kidnapping and abducted cases and motor vehicle theft may be<br />

furnished promptly from Police station level.<br />

� Whenever criminal cases are detected on information from SCRB, the detecting<br />

officers shall intimate the matter to IGP/CID-cum-Director SCRB. SCRB is<br />

contemplating to publish article in CIG on “DETECTION OF CASES”. Hence in<br />

future, all the officers may take interest to intimate the detection of cases to SCRB.<br />

� The Criminal Intelligence Gazette is the property of the Department and it shall be<br />

entered in the “Property Register” & be made available to staff for “Ready<br />

Reference”<br />

� The positive suggestions, if any, for the improvement of the CIG may be forwarded<br />

to CID, State Crime Records Bureau, Shimla.
