The conviction rate in Himachal Pradesh though increasing yet it is far form<br />
satisfactory . The focus of Police Administration should be on improving the conviction rate<br />
by improving the professional competence of investigating officers by various service<br />
training programmes.<br />
The police men can use criminal intelligence gazette during investigation by<br />
taking benefit of the data available in the gazette of missing person, most wanted person,<br />
wanted person, POs, habitual offenders and unidentified dead bodies.<br />
I believe that the information available in the Criminal Intelligence Gazette<br />
will be of immense help to police force of the state as well as to the police force of<br />
neighbouring states.<br />
At our level efforts are being made to provide more useful information to the<br />
police officers. However I may request you to forward your suggestions for improving the<br />
quality of Criminal Intelligence Gazette to be published in future<br />
