5StarWines - the Book 2021

TROPHIES
Trophies for 5StarWines - the Book were selected by the international,
highly qualified experts who judged the wines blind. The wines arrived
already anonymized and each judge was assisted by a third party to ensure
integrity and anonymity throughout the event. Judges evaluated the
wines based on the following criteria: Sight, Bouquet, and Taste. Trophies
were attributed to the wine with the highest overall score in each category.
• Winery of the Year - Gran Vinitaly: Trophy awarded to the producer
who obtained the highest average score from at least 3 wines, which
must have obtained an award in at least 2 different categories.
• Best Italian Wine - Banco BPM: Trophy awarded to the Italian wine
that obtained the highest overall score during the 5StarWines selection.
• The Best White, Rosè, Red, Sweet, Semi-Sparkling and Sparkling Wines
Trophy awarded to the wines that obtained the highest score in each
category during the 5StarWines selection.
