Die Wärmeisolierung besteht aus 50 mm FCKW-freiem und bis zu 120 °C hitzebeständigem PUR-Schaum. Auf die Schaumebene kommt nochmal eine beidseitige Aluminiumbeschichtung in Stucco-Optik. Die Kälteisolierung besteht aus einer 20 mm dicken Dämmschichtdecke aus Kunstkaut- schuk, die direkt an das Plattenpaket geklebt wird. Die Isolierung ist zu 100 % diffusionsdicht und verhindert zudem zuverlässig eine eventuelle Kondensatbildung. To address this challenge, Dinnissen developed the Aeolus Pneumatic Lactose Transport System, a patented design of bends and switches that prevents the accumulation of lactose during production. This reduces the need for cleaning (by up to 12 times) and therefore drastically reduces downtime while improving product quality and hygiene. Aeolus was developed in cooperation with the global dairy company Friesland-Campina. Due to the strict hygiene requirements, cleaning pneumatic transport systems is time-consuming and labor-intensive. The pipework and various components of the conveyor system must be dismantled and then cleaned with hot water. In addition, the pipes must be completely free of moisture before the system is reassembled to prevent bacterial growth. This process takes several days and needs to be repeated every eight weeks. The new Aeolus system prevents the accumulation of lactose, therefore production has to be stopped up to 12 times less often for cleaning. This can result in 8 to 12 % more production days per year. In addition, it saves labor costs. The Aeolus concept also improves product quality: because there is no more accumulation of lactose, the orifice diameter in the tubes remains at its maximum during transport.
