The Year of the Tablet

The Year of the Tablet Been There, Got The T-Shirt Want to know why show visitors are queuing in Hall 17? Don’t have a digital image at hand? No problem — AMD will take a photo of you and print the T-shirt from that. AMD is also at IFA to support its computer OEMs: Dell, Acer, Samsung, Toshiba, Lenovo and Packard Bell. With its VISION Technology, it offers a multi-core CPU and GPU technology platform featuring the new A-Series APU that allows PCs to enjoy smoother 1080p playback, easier photo editing and faster video editing. This leads AMD to label the benefits under the banner ‘Brilliant HD’. With quad-core speed and the speed of a discrete graphics card technology, AMD claims VISION adds “ n e w d i m e n s i o n s o f entertainment”. The point is that AMD is upping the processing power (‘Brilliant HD Performance’) to enable customers to benefit fully from the trend to video (‘Brilliant HD Entertainment’) that includes HD video, HD- 3D content, HD gaming and more. But it’s not just about Brilliant entertainment and performance: it’s also about ‘Brilliant HD Everyday’. AMD VISION also adds lustre by improving energy efficiency with all-day battery life.
