Flooring Report Benefits

Flooring Report Benefits Of NWFA Membership If you have a business in the wood flooring industry, you should consider becoming a member of the National Wood Flooring Association. No matter what your business type – manufacturer, distributor, dealer/contractor, inspector, lumber mill, forest owner – the NWFA serves the various needs of one industry, and one industry only: wood flooring. This means we have the resources to meet your needs, whatever they might be. For months now, the media has been bombarding us with messages about the dismal state of the global economy. There is no doubt that times are tough for many businesses in our industry right now, and the reasons are fairly obvious. Many consumers throughout the world are paying more for everyday essentials – food, clothing, gasoline – which leaves less money available for discretionary spending. For most, however, the situation is more of an inconvenience than a lifealtering event. Most consumers simply will choose to cut back by eating out less often, or renting movies at home instead of going to the theater. Still, until those discretionary dollars are available again, our industry will have to tighten its belt until the economy rebounds. That’s where being a member of the NWFA can really make a difference. Associations offer companies many services they cannot provide for themselves due to their limited staffs, resources, and budgets. Here at the NWFA, we strive to be the wood flooring professional’s first call for all their industry needs. Technical resources are the most widely used NWFA service. Our Installation Guidelines are the industry standard for wood flooring installations and sand and finishing. These guidelines represent the work of hundreds of wood flooring professionals – many of them competitors – coming together to compile and consolidate the most comprehensive volume of technical information available about wood flooring. If that’s not enough, the NWFA also offers live technical advisors that can answer specific questions Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm (Central). These technicians take the time to find solutions so that our members can get back to work quickly. After all, time is money. Training is another service NWFA provides. The NWFA offers by ED KORCZAK Executive Director National Wood Flooring Association Chesterfield, Mo. 800-422-4556 (USA and Canada) 636-519-9663 (International) www.nwfa.org more hands-on wood flooring training schools than another other organization out there. Best of all, we do it for all skill levels – those just starting their careers and those who are master craftsmen. But we also offer other types of training too, including sales and inspection processes that will help you increase your profits by becoming more knowledgeable about the products you sell and service. The NWFA offers networking opportunities too to increase your business contacts and help your business grow. As an international association with more than 3,000 member companies worldwide, you can draw from a vast audience of your peers to learn not only from their mistakes, but also their successes. We also offer the largest trade show anywhere dedicated exclusively to wood flooring, which means we bring you the largest audience of potential customers and suppliers anywhere. The 2012 Wood Flooring Expo will be held April 10- 13 in Orlando, Florida. Come join hundreds of exhibitors from across the globe that will be on hand showcasing all the industry’s latest products and services. As you can see, no matter what your wood flooring needs, the NWFA is the industry’s one-stop resource. Whether you are looking for technical resources, world-class training, professional contacts, industry statistics, or even business services like insurance programs, make the NWFA your first call. Give us a try for 30 days – for free! You also can reach the NWFA at info@nwfa.org. • 16 Hardwoods...A Renewable Resource
