NEWS DEVELOPMENTS ETHAN ALLEN TO CONSOLIDATE OPERATIONS Ethan Allen Interiors Inc., based in Danbury, CT, recently announced that production of casegoods at the company’s Old Fort, NC, factory will be consolidated to plants in Orleans and Beecher Falls, VT, with additional production being transferred to other company sites. The Orleans and Beecher Falls operations encompass approximately 1 million square feet of manufacturing space and will continue production of Ethan Allen’s many products, including solid Maple, Cherry and White Oak furniture. Ethan Allen is a designer, manufacturer and retailer of home furnishings with nine manufacturing facilities. MARVIN BRINGS REFRESHED LINES AND NEW LOGO TO THE MARKET Marvin Windows and Doors, headquartered in Warroad, MN, recently made the announcement that the company will consolidate its brands under a single new name and logo. SPEYSIDE BOURBON STAVE MILL ANNOUNCES INVESTMENTS Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia announced that Speyside Bourbon Stave Mill in Virginia Inc., a manufacturer of White Oak staves and headers for bourbon barrels, will invest 4,000 to expand its manufacturing facility in Bath County, VA. The investment will go towards the purchase of new equipment, as well as adding a second shift, which will create 45 jobs. Products are manufactured using only White Oak sourced from Virginia. Speyside Bourbon Stave Mill is a subsidiary of Speyside Bourbon Cooperage Inc., an offshoot of Speyside Cooperage Ltd., which was founded in Scotland 72 years ago.
