Located at the foothills of the Laurentian mountains, North of Montreal, Richard Mouldings specializes in the custom manufacturing of Hardwood products for a variety of markets including cabinetry, interior finishing, transition mouldings for flooring and architectural mouldings, hotels and institutions. The company started its operations by acquiring the assets of another moulding company. “At Richard Mouldings, we aim to provide our customers with innovative, high-quality products that combine elegance and style,” Owner and Vice President Hugo Richard explained. “We offer a wide variety of species that are domestic, foreign or exotic.” Richard Mouldings is dedicated to utilizing products from sustainably managed forests. Procuring Hardwood lumber from sawmills and distributors he noted, “Our preferences are for sources that can provide us with raw material that have been certified and managed responsibly.” Recognized as a leader in the production of Hardwood mouldings and components in North America and overseas, Richard Mouldings operates from a 22,000-square-foot facility. When it comes to accommodating special requests, Richard Mouldings is ready and available. “We offer a wide selection of existing models from our range of more than 10,000 profiles, especially casing, baseboards, crown and other trim mouldings,” Hugo explained. “We can accommodate your needs for special projects with our custom milling capabilities.” With state-of-the-art equipment, the firm is able to provide components needed to create quality cabinet components. Door frames, light rails, S4S and ogees are just some examples of their offerings. “Automatic equipment for all types of handrails and nosings allows us to finger joint and laminate long pieces, while offering top notch quality and precision,” Hugo explained.
