appropriate plug fitted in its place by an<br />
authorised customer service agent. The<br />
replacement plug should have the same<br />
fuse rating as the original plug. The severed<br />
plug must be disposed of to avoid a possible<br />
shock hazard and should never be inserted<br />
into a mains socket elsewhere.<br />
Save these instructions. Refer to them<br />
frequently and use them to instruct others<br />
who may use this tool. If you loan someone<br />
this tool, loan them these instructions also to<br />
prevent misuse of the product and possible<br />
injury.<br />
The appliance is not intended for<br />
use by young children or infirm<br />
persons without supervision. Young<br />
children should be supervised to<br />
ensure that they do not play with<br />
the appliance.<br />
• Keep packaging materials out of reach of<br />
children. There is risk of suffocation!<br />
INSTALLING/REPLACING THE SAW<br />
BLADE<br />
Before installing or replacing the saw blade,<br />
make sure the mini reciprocating saw is not<br />
plugged in. Only use suitable saw blades and<br />
do not use blunt, damaged or bent saw<br />
blades. When replacing the saw blade wear<br />
safety gloves to protect your hands.<br />
1. Turn the ring of the quick change chuck (3)<br />
counter clockwise for ¼ turn to release the<br />
chuck. Hold the ring and then pull out the<br />
saw blade from the quick change chuck.<br />

INTENDED USE<br />
• The mini reciprocating saw has been<br />
exclusively designed for cutting wood,<br />
chipboard, plastics, PVC, fibreglass,<br />
drywall, sheet steel, iron, Aluminium and<br />
other soft materials.<br />
• The intended use also includes an<br />
operation following the operating<br />
instructions.<br />
• Any use beyond these parameters<br />
(different media, applying force) or any<br />
changes (reconstruction, no original<br />
accessory) can lead to serious risks and is<br />
regarded as use that is contrary to the<br />
intended purpose.<br />
BEFORE FIRST USE<br />
• Remove the mini reciprocating saw and the<br />
accessory from the packaging.<br />
• Check all parts for damage in transit and do<br />
not use damaged accessory or a damaged<br />
tool.<br />
2. Turn the ring of the quick change chuck (3)<br />
counter clockwise for ¼ turn. Hold the ring<br />
in this position and insert the new saw<br />
blade with the cutting side downwards as<br />
far as it will go. Then release the ring. The<br />
saw blade is securely fastened by the quick<br />
change chuck.<br />
3. Carefully pull the saw blade to make sure<br />
the saw blade is firmly secured. Ensure the<br />
saw blade can move freely in the saw blade<br />
guide (4).<br />
Attention: Due to friction the saw blade will<br />
become very hot during cutting. When<br />
removing the saw blade protect your hands<br />
with safety gloves.<br />
