Conclusions: • In all cases, with or without offset pivot point mechanism there are 4w clearance violations even in the zero-wavelength limit. • At the nominal chopper angle of +9.0 deg clipping occurs at both edges of M4. First at the edge at the back of M4 after reflection from M6, next at the edge of M4 when entering the corridor to the CSA optics. • In all cases where clipping at the edge of the corridor can be avoided the beam clipping at the backside of M4 is getting stronger. Furthermore relatively large chopper angles are required to avoid clipping at the corridor or centering the beam with respect to the corridor. These angles can not be reached by the current chopper mechanism. Graphs showing interface error between COA and CSA optics Finally we detected an interface error between the COA and CSA optics at the nominal chopper angle of +9.0 deg. We modelled the corridor between M4 and the structure wall as an rectangular aperture of 33 mm x 160 mm. One of the long edges coincides with the rim / edge of M4. Based on the drawing from source 2 we defined an axis parallel to the z-axis through the chief ray intersection on SMIR of the CSA. At the chief ray intersect on SMIR we defined a dummy surface of 1 mm diameter. Again we traced a 4w ray fan in two configuration. The first configuration (in blue) corresponds to the offset pivot case. The second (in green) to the rotation around vertex case. 4w ray fan into the CSA optics missing SMIR 9
