Pille Ernesaks (b. 1966, graduated from Tallinn University of Art, Department of
Textile Design) is a painter whose work is inspired by wild nature, “bad weather”,
surface textures, travel memories from Iceland and Japan. Another area of interest in
Ernesaks’ paintings is man and his inner world - psychological portraits. Pille Ernesaks’
painting language is expressive, she likes to paint with a big rag, fingers or palms.
Loves to experiment with different materials. Fascinating darker tones and “blurry
situations.”
Pille Ernesaks is a member of the Estonian Painters ‘ Association and the Estonian
Artists’ Association.
Represented at the exhibition with six works.
