Using the monitor<br />
I Note<br />
If voltage is present in the brown cable, the monitor is switched on automatically<br />
and the camera is activated.<br />
➤ Connect the white cable to the positive cable of the instrument panel illumination (6).<br />
8 Using the monitor<br />
8.1 Switching the monitor on and off (fig. b, page 7)<br />
➤ Switch the ignition on.<br />
➤ Switch the monitor on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (1).<br />
✓ The picture appears.<br />
I Note<br />
If you have completely connected all of the monitor cables, the brightness<br />
should be automatically reduced when the driving lights are switched on.<br />
➤ Switch the monitor off with the ON/OFF switch (1).<br />
✓ The picture disappears.<br />
➤ When the ignition is turned on, the monitor should switch on as soon as reverse gear<br />
has been selected.<br />
➤ Switch out of reverse and the system switches back to stand-by.<br />
8.2 Setting the monitor<br />
➤ Set the brightness and contrast as required.<br />
The inverter is located on the rear of the monitor (blue dip switch, fig. b 5, page 7) for<br />
normal or inverted display on the monitor. With the inverted display, the monitor acts as<br />
though you were looking in the rear-view mirror of your vehicle.<br />

MIRROR dip switch in top position: Normal display<br />
➤ Decide which type of display you want and switch the dip switch into the required position.<br />
9 Cleaning and maintaining the monitor<br />
e Caution!<br />
Remove the cable before cleaning the monitor to prevent short circuiting.<br />

Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning as these may<br />
damage the device.<br />
