ABSTRACT
The present research aims to analyze the importance of the mystic tourism in Boa Sorte and its
implications in the local development. The tourism as bias of the development for
communities of the territory, brings quarrels concerning to the potentialities found in the
studies area. The locality has strong mystic manifestation, given to the attractive ones found in
the place, presenting great power of attraction of tourist, individuals and groups that interferes,
in some way, in the activities of the population. Thus, it was analyzed the influence of the
ufology as a phenomenon, and its manifestation in local and touristy population. These
phenomena are, originated from two touristy businesses, which denote a holy space. Field
works had been carried through, with application of questionnaires, interview, photographic
and oral documentation. It was identified during process, who the consumer is from these
spaces, through the profile of the visitor. In front of the results we consider the following
points: the kind of development that occurs is exogenous, where the community is to the
process. The analyzed territory does not restrict only to the city of Corguinho, since the
process also develops for the neighbor city. It is necessary to plan strategies with the
community, so that they search the ways of the development.
