PROFILUL CITOKINELOR ÎN PLASMA PACIENŢILOR CU MELANOM MALIGN (ABSTRACT):
Malignant melanoma is considered to be a prototype of an immunogenic tumor that express a variety of
cytokines and growth factors that may stimulate tumor angiogenesis, growth and invasion. The purpose of
this study was to analyze and compare the expression levels of a selected panel of twelve inflammatory
cytokines/chemokines in the plasma of melanoma patients before any treatment with the expression levels
of matched age and sex healthy controls. This study was performed in order to select the most appropriate
profile of cytokines that could serve as markers for early diagnosis, prognostic and treatment. The study
was performed on patients diagnosed with malignant melanoma that underwent surgery in 2010 compared
with healthy controls, using a multi-analyte ELISArray kit. Our results showed a statistically significant
increase in plasma levels of six inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-10, IL-17α, IFN-γ, TNF-α and GM-
CSF) (P between
