A space in the dark är ett nytt verk av koreografen Ben Wright. Med ett gripande
och spontant tilltal tittar föreställningen på det ständiga förnekandet
av vår egen dödlighet. En hyllning till det mänskliga, till det ofullkomliga, det
otillräckliga. A space in the dark har ett alldeles eget ljuduniversum, med kända
och mindre kända David Bowie-låtar och musik av Henrik Munch, känd från
det danska elektro-folkbandet Sorten Muld. Ben Wright är tidigare biträdande
konstnärlig ledare på Skånes Dansteater och står bakom bland annat succén
the feeling of going.
‘A space in the dark’ is a new work by choreographer Ben Wright. With a gripping
and spontaneous touch, the performance looks at the constant denial of our own
mortality. A tribute to being human, to the imperfect, to the inadequate. ‘A space
in the dark’ has its very own sound universe, with famous and lesser-known David
Bowie songs and music by Henrik Munch, known from the Danish electro-folk band
Sorten Muld. Ben Wright is a former associate artistic director at Skånes Dansteater,
where he created the audience favourite ‘the feeling of going’ among others.
