In this study, <strong>Salamis</strong> Ancient City, The Necropolis of <strong>Salamis</strong>, St.Barnabas<br />
Monestry and Enkomi (Alasia) City are located on the east coast of Famagusta Bay<br />
on the Island of Cyprus which is found between 32-34 east meridian and 34-35 north<br />
parallels ha<strong>ve</strong> been examined by using Remote Sensing methods and database ha<strong>ve</strong><br />
been created by using Geographic Information Systems. For this aim, topographic<br />
maps of 1/5.000 scale, soil maps of 1/25.000 scale and IRS-1C Satellite data (Indian<br />
Satellite) dated 3 No<strong>ve</strong>mber 1996 ha<strong>ve</strong> been used.<br />
The study region has been related between present and ancient land use by<br />
using the creating database. As a result of this study, advices and suggestions for<br />
improving the national economy on land and agricultural use without negati<strong>ve</strong>ly<br />
effecting the cultural and natural riches of the area ha<strong>ve</strong> been interpreted.<br />
