3.Derivative products: In 2009, the premium received was 10.1 billion NTD with the market share of<br />
9.10% and ranked top 3 in industry. Total trading volume of structured products<br />
reached 12.3 billion NTD and ranked the third in industry. Total outstanding<br />
balance for structured product was 1.3 billion NTD and ranked fourth in industry.<br />
Total trading volume of options was 869 million NTD and achieved the top<br />
ranking in industry.<br />
4. Fixed income: Annual market share of domestic corporate bond issuances is 6.45% and ranked top<br />
3 among independent brokers. <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> will strive for better profit by taking<br />
the opportunity of interest adjustment. In addition, we will cooperate with the policy<br />
deregulation to strengthen the research on off-shore government & corporate bond<br />
and develop new market aggressively.<br />
Looking forward into 2010, Taiwan stock index has risen to a comparative high position since the overall<br />
trading got warmer. Although the global economy has been stabilized, the growth momentum is not yet<br />
visible. Even if most of the world's central banks are still maintaining low interest rate policy, we remain<br />
cautious on the volatilities of the financial markets. <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> <strong>Corp</strong>. will continue to operate with<br />
cautious and focus on brokerage business, corporate finances, derivatives, fixed income products,<br />
transfer agent services agent and proprietary trading to maintain a balance development. As for the<br />
strategic layout, we will integrate group resources to complete the development of Greater China with<br />
strong ambition and years of operation advantages to complete the development of the Greater China<br />
markets. In addition to maintaining quality of our services in Taiwan, operations of our Hong Kong<br />
subsidiary will be more diversified. With the signing of cross-strait MOU and nearly completed ECFA<br />
negotiation, <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> is now ready for expansion in China with aggressive strategy as soon as<br />
the regulations are clear when ECFA is signed. In Asia emerging markets, we believe Vietnam is one of<br />
the markets with the most potential. Currently, <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> has invested in Mien Nam <strong>Securities</strong><br />
<strong>Corp</strong>. for 30% of it total shares and we plan to increase the holdings up to 49% (the maximum stake a<br />
single foreign investor can hold). At initial stage, <strong>Capital</strong> securities will focus on brokerage and wealth<br />
management business and establish other businesses in the future.<br />
