Sensing an important link between the capital market and industrial development in Taiwan, Mr. George T.W. Chen<br />
established <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> with initial paid-in capital of NTD300mn in 1988. <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> is now an integrated<br />
securities company offering a comprehensive range of financial services, including brokerage, proprietary trading,<br />
investment banking, stock transfer, fixed income, margin trading and derivative products, to both institutional and<br />
retail investors. Together with other <strong>Capital</strong> Group companies, including <strong>Capital</strong> Futures, <strong>Capital</strong> Investment<br />
Management, <strong>Capital</strong> Futures Management, <strong>Capital</strong> Insurance Agency, <strong>Capital</strong> Insurance Advisory, CSC <strong>Securities</strong><br />

and became an integrated securities company.<br />
Dec., 1989 – <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> launched OTC trading business.<br />
1991 – Paid-in capital was increased to NTD2.0bn; <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Securities</strong> launched margin trading and<br />
stock borrowing & lending businesses.<br />
