Alongside <strong>COP22</strong>, several sporting events will<br />
be held including football (soccer) matches.<br />
November<br />
On November 6 - a national holiday in Morocco celebrating the Green March - a<br />
charity match between Morocco and players from around the world will take place<br />
in Laâyoune, capital of the Laâyoune-Saguia Al Hamra region. International<br />
champions including Diego Maradona, George Weah, Abedi Pele and Rivaldo will<br />
participate in this game, taking place one day before the opening of the <strong>COP22</strong><br />
climate change conference.<br />
FROM 5 PM<br />
On November 12, a World-Cup qualifier will oppose Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire at<br />
the Grand Stadium of Marrakech.<br />

FROM 8 PM<br />
On November 18, the town of Laayoune will host another special event: the<br />
Moroccan Coupe du Trône (Moroccan Cup Final). The match is scheduled to take<br />
place at Sheikh Mohamed Laghdaf sports complex.<br />
The futsal and Women’s Coupe du Trône final will also take place one-day prior.<br />
