in Public Gardens<br />
Five main public gardens of Marrakech will host entertainment and activities for families<br />
during <strong>COP22</strong>.<br />
In the Allal El Fassi Garden, the Allal El Fassi Park, the Lalla Hasna Garden, the El Hari<br />
Garden and the Menara Garden, families will have the opportunity to enjoy acoustic<br />
music performances from several traditional ensembles and children can take part in<br />
workshops aiming at raising awareness among youth on the importance of environmental<br />
protection.<br />
These green and environmentally friendly activities are organized and prepared by<br />
artists, associations and schools from Marrakech and its region.<br />

Illumination<br />
of Marrakech<br />

During <strong>COP22</strong>, parts of Marrakech’s most<br />
famous monuments will be artistically<br />
illuminated in order to promote the city’s<br />
cultural heritage and to pay tribute to<br />
<strong>COP22</strong>.<br />
The Marrakech train station, a mix<br />
between modern and traditional design,<br />
will be illuminated as a symbol of the<br />
passing of time.<br />
The portion of the famous ochre color city<br />
ramparts will be illuminated with images of<br />
endangered species.<br />
The pool of the Menara, an icon of<br />
Marrakech and symbol of <strong>COP22</strong>, will open<br />
specifically in the evenings to share with<br />
visitors a series of illuminations on the<br />
water.
