ANT499 ANT/499 ANT 499 Week 5 Discussion 1/DQ 1 Presenting Research (LATEST) This week you are submitting
your Ethnographic Paper. Ethnographies often follow certain conventions, though this is always dependent upon
context, topic, and author. Based on Chapters 14 and 15 of Ethnography Essentials, discuss which conventions you
have used in your ethnography for explaining your findings and which ones you chose not to use. Give an explanation
as to why you made those choices. Then, consider who, besides an academic audience, might be interested in your
research. In what format would you convey your results to them? The assigned blog post by Taylor (2013) and the
assigned article by Vannini (2013) will help you consider the potential public implications, and audiences, of your
research. Your initial post should be at least 350 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required
material(s) and/or other scholarly sources, and properly cite any references. Guided Response: Respond to at least
two of your peers, comparing their decisions of presentation format to your own. Suggest additional audiences that
might be interested in learning about their research.
