Walking​ ​down​ ​the​ ​road,
in​ ​the​ ​night​ ​with​ ​no​ ​light.
Trees​ ​swooshing,​ ​leaves​ ​crunching​ ​under
your​ ​feet.
As​ ​you​ ​walk​ ​past​ ​an​ ​old,​ ​dark​ ​cottage,
you​ ​stumble​ ​across​ ​a​ ​red​ ​balloon,
floating​ ​in​ ​the​ ​crisp​ ​air.
You​ ​begin​ ​to​ ​walk​ ​faster​ ​than​ ​you​ ​were
before.
There’s​ ​a​ ​dim​ ​street​ ​light​ ​ahead.
You​ ​walk​ ​in​ ​that​ ​direction.
As​ ​you’re​ ​walking​ ​a​ ​figure​ ​appears.
You​ ​rub​ ​your​ ​eyes​ ​to​ ​see​ ​if​ ​you’re
Dreaming.
The​ ​figure​ ​awaits​ ​your​ ​company,
getting​ ​closer​ ​every​ ​second.
You​ ​intentionally​ ​blink.
The​ ​figure​ ​is​ ​gone.
You​ ​feel​ ​a​ ​sharp,​ ​warm​ ​wind​ ​on​ ​your
Neck.
You​ ​slowly​ ​turn​ ​around.
As​ ​you​ ​turn​ ​a​ ​shadow​ ​flashes​ ​past​ ​your​ ​eyes.
You​ ​turn​ ​back​ ​around​ ​to​ ​continue
walking​ ​but…
there​ ​it​ ​is.
The​ ​Killer​ ​Clown​ ​of​ ​the​ ​night.
