were still wet from the rain yesterday. I was certain I wasn't going to survive the night. I kept trying to get up, but couldn't. I had to drag myself along the ground. There was only one way I thought that I might live through the night, if I could find some shelter . It felt like I was dragging myself forever, I wanted to give up, but I couldn’t. Thoughts of my family and my friends and kept going. I finally saw an opening to a cave, I was filled with relief. I might just be able to feed my fish again. I went into the cave and covered myself with everything I could find. I could only get about 2 - 3 hours of broken sleep. It was morning time, I was freezing cold, starving and parched. I was sitting in the corner of the cave, giving up all hope, until I heard people walking nearby. I tried to shout out, but my voice was so raspy. I dragged myself out of the cave as fast as I could and screamed at the top of my lungs .They heard me and not all hope was lost . October 13th….. scariest night of my life. 43
