The mystery man by Danny Walsh
My alarm woke me at seven o’clock this morning. Today would be the
day I started secondary school. I got ready and my mam called me and
said that is was time to go. We got in the car and collected my best
friend Jackson.
About halfway into the drive, a car spun out in front of us. We
were all very scared, It hit into another car and both cars looked
wrecked. Then, to our surprise, the driver of one of the cars stepped
out like nothing happened. We all jumped out of the car to check if the
drivers were ok, but something didn't seem right. The driver that had
stepped out of his car was looking for something. Then he looked
straight up and me and said ‘You have it! I know you do!’. He started
walking closer to us saying it over and over. We all quickly ran back
into the car and drove off. We were too scared to even talk to each
other.
We made it to the school and went into our first class. Jackson
and I were wondering what he was saying that I had. It was the end of
my first class and we went to the next one. I noticed something
glowing in Jackson’s bag as he was taking his books out but thought
nothing of it. The teacher looked familiar, he looked like the man from
the crash, but I thought it couldn't be him. At the end of that class he
told me to stay back. He asked me again if I had it. It was the man from
the crash! I still didn't know what he wanted and I was getting scared
so I ran out of the class. I was so terrified I ran right out of the school.
Jackson had been waiting for me outside of the classroom and ran with
me. We jumped onto a bus that was at the bus stop near the school.
Jackson asked me what had happened. I told him that it was the man
from the crash asking for something. Jackson said that the teacher did
look like him but, that it must be impossible that it was the man from
