Sataplia Nature Reserve - There is a small
river that flow from a cave. 30 million years
ago, this 200 meter long river created the
cave where stalactites and stalagmites
abound. Scientists discovered dinosaur
f o o t p r i n t s i n t h e a r e a w h i c h i s a
phenomenal view into the times when
these giant creatures roamed the earth.
Enjoy lunch with a traditional Georgian
family who will serve you traditional local
dishes.
Martvili Canyon - Take a boat voyage
through the canyon, a place of a truly
charming beauty. The canyon is famous for
its archeological finds as well as its beauty.
In the area near the canyon scientist have
found petrified bones of animals and paw
prints of dinosaur that lived millions of
years ago. It is possible to walk on a canyon
by the boat and go on the top to reach 7
meter tall falls.

Mar tvili Monaster y - This ancient
Georgian monastery named for St Maria
was built in the 7th century. One of the most
important spiritual centers of Georgia and a
r e m a r k a b l e e x a m p l e o f G e o r g i a n
architecture. Inside the temple you will find
frescoes dated from XIV, XVI and XVII
centuries. As an option on the way back to
Batumi, you can stop at the amusement
park Tsitsinatela for some fun for children
and adults alike. Also a new theme park
“ Georgia in Miniatures” presents 44
miniatures of architectural monuments
from many places in Georgia. At a 1:25 scale,
they display the rich architectural heritage
that is found in this country.
