Driving directions. The drive between the airport and the city centre is about 35
minutes. To get to the airport from the city centre, take the Gillies Ave exit on the
southern motorway and follow the signs to Auckland Airport.
Parking. A range of short and long-term parking options are available at the
domestic and international terminals. Check out the parking options at
www.aucklandairport.co.nz to get the best parking deal.
Airbus. The city-to-airport bus departs every 10 minutes. Weekdays 7am-7pm.
Weekends every 15 minutes 6am - 7pm. Tickets cost NZ$16 (adult) and NZ$6
(child - 5 to 15yrs) one way and are available at any city or airport i-SITE visitor

Bus. Regular bus services connect the airport to the central city and several
other local centres. For timetable and connection information, contact Auckland

Terminal transfer bus. A free terminal transfer bus service operates every 15
minutes between the international and domestic terminals. Alternatively, follow
the signs for a 10-minute walk. The bus operates from 5am - 10.30pm daily
Shuttles and taxis. Taxis are located in front of the domestic and international
terminals. The approximate cost for a taxi from the airport to the city is NZ$60-
80. A shuttle is approx. NZ$33 for one person, plus $8 for each extra person in
the same group.
Car and campervan rental. Various companies offer rentals from the airport,
including: Budget, Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Thrifty.
