havets overflade, og det er danmarksrekord.<br />
Højere bliver de ikke, bjergene i Danmark.<br />
På toppen af Ejer Bavnehøj står et robust tårn,<br />
og lægger vi det til, når højden helt op på 183<br />
meter. Hvis I klatrer op i tårnet, kan I se helt til<br />
Samsø, når vejret er klart.<br />
Tårnet er rejst til minde om Danmarks glædelige<br />
genforening med Sønderjylland i 1920, og nu<br />
– snart 100 år senere – danner Ejer Bjerge stadig<br />
rammen om store folkelige møder og fester.<br />
Som hverdagsgæst kan I nyde den flotte udsigt,<br />
den historiske atmosfære og kigge ind i Møllehjulet,<br />
et moderne og arkitektonisk nyskabende<br />
besøgscenter, som fortæller historien om<br />
dengang, Danmark blev udvidet<br />
mod syd - igen.<br />

The mountains of Ejer<br />
170.86 meters above sea. This is the exact height of Møllehøj and that<br />
makes the mountain the highest point in Denmark. In the area called<br />
Ejer Bjerge you can also climb Ejer Bavnehøj, Møgelhøj, and Yding<br />
Skovhøj among other peaks. So this is as high as it gets when it comes<br />
to the Danish mountains.<br />
Situated on the top of Ejer Bavnehøj you will find a solidly constructed<br />
tower and if we add the height of the tower to the height of the<br />
mountain we reach 183 meters. So when you climb up the tower on a<br />
clear day, you can see all the way to Samsø.<br />
The tower was erected in remembrance of Denmark’s reunion with<br />
the southern parts of Jutland in 1920 and now – nearly 100 years<br />
later – Ejer Bjerge still welcomes people to large gatherings and<br />
celebrations.<br />
Visiting the mountains on an ordinary day you can enjoy the<br />
beautiful view, feel the history being present and pay “Møllehjulet” a<br />
visit – a new modern kiosk and a innovative visitors centre telling the<br />
history of Denmark’s southern enlargement.<br />
