CERTIFICERING Cradle to Cradle Certified CM’ Products Af Ken Alston, CEO MBDC I 2010 blev ’The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute’ dannet og autoriseret til selvstændigt at varetage og udvide C2C produktcertificeringsprogrammet, der oprindeligt er udviklet af McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry, LLC. Instituttet er nu en uafhængig tredjepart, der har ansvaret for udvikling, implementering og administration af denne produktstandard på verdensplan. ’Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM’ produktstandarden tilbyder en vej til fremstilling af sundere produkter i et system af krav til flere egenskaber og løbende forbedringer over tid. Fordi standarden belønner præstationer i fem kategorier og på fem certificeringsniveauer, repræsenterer denne certificering en af de mest omfattende produktcertificeringer, der findes. C2C produktmærket udgør derfor en værdifuld produktdifferentiering konstrueret i overensstemmelse med offentliggjorte standarder. Virksomhederne samarbejder med et af Instituttet akkrediteret vurderingsorgan, der færdiggør de nødvendige oplysninger og former for dokumentation, der er nødvendige for at ansøge om certificering. Instituttet gennemgår den indsendte dokumentation for at sikre fuldstændighed og nøjagtighed. Efter vellykket revision udsteder Instituttet et certifikat sammen med en varemærkelicens og retningslinjer for brugen af certificeringsmærket.
