Suffolk University Law Schools Sargent hall is located
in the heart of downtown Boston, surrounded by Boston
Common, the Freedom Trail, and historic sites at every
turn.
Description
For more than one hundred years, Suffolk University Law
School has produced some of the nations most distinguished
legal professionals. In law firms throughout the
world, the judiciary, and the public sector, Suffolk Law
graduates are known for their knowledge, competence,
ethics, and dedication. As the fifth largest law school
in the United States, Suffolk Law has a network of over
24,000 alumni around the world.
Entry Requirements
Admission to the graduate program is based on overall
academic performance with particular emphasis on law
school academic achievement, work experience, seriousness
of purpose, letters of recommendation, resume, and
the students personal statement. Applicants who received
their first law degree from an institution where the
language of instruction was not in English must submit
an official TOEFL score report. The minimum TOEFL score
requirement is 250 for the computer based exam, 600 for
the paper test, or 100 for the internet based exa
Fees
For the 2009/2010 academic year, the charge per credit
hour is $1,585 for LL. Student Bar Association dues are
$45 per semester. Students should anticipate approximately
$17,136 per nine month academic year (2009-
2010) for living expense costs.
The Master of Laws
Suffolk University Law Schools LL.M. in Global Law and
Technology will prepare you to meet the needs of advanced
study and specialization for lawyering in a global
world. With an average incoming class of 30 students, the
program is small enough to be friendly and big enough
to be important. Students have come from 37 countries
from around the world. Social and networking events
are held on a regular basis. Students may also choose to
specialize in one or more of the four designated areas:
Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law
Biomedicine and Health Law International Law and
Business U.S. Law and Legal Methods Twenty four (24)
credits are required to complete the LL.M. degree in
Global Law and Technology.
Accomodation
We do not provide on-campus housing for graduate
students. Suffolk University does have a dedicated Off-
Campus Housing Office, where a staff will assist you.
Scholarships
Limited partial scholarship assistance may be available
to qualified applicants who demonstrate financial need
and outstanding academic credentials.
