Location<br />
Suffolk University Law Schools Sargent hall is located<br />
in the heart of downtown Boston, surrounded by Boston<br />
Common, the Freedom Trail, and historic sites at every<br />
turn.<br />
Description<br />
For more than one hundred years, Suffolk University Law<br />
School has produced some of the nations most distinguished<br />
legal professionals. In law firms throughout the<br />
world, the judiciary, and the public sector, Suffolk Law<br />
graduates are known for their knowledge, competence,<br />
ethics, and dedication. As the fifth largest law school<br />
in the United States, Suffolk Law has a network of over<br />
24,000 alumni around the world.<br />
Entry Requirements<br />
Admission to the graduate program is based on overall<br />
academic performance with particular emphasis on law<br />
school academic achievement, work experience, seriousness<br />
of purpose, letters of recommendation, resume, and<br />
the students personal statement. Applicants who received<br />
their first law degree from an institution where the<br />
language of instruction was not in English must submit<br />
an official TOEFL score report. The minimum TOEFL score<br />
requirement is 250 for the computer based exam, 600 for<br />
the paper test, or 100 for the internet based exa<br />
Fees<br />
For the 2009/2010 academic year, the charge per credit<br />
hour is $1,585 for LL. Student Bar Association dues are<br />
$45 per semester. Students should anticipate approximately<br />
$17,136 per nine month academic year (2009-<br />
2010) for living expense costs.<br />
The Master of Laws<br />
Suffolk University Law Schools LL.M. in Global Law and<br />
Technology will prepare you to meet the needs of advanced<br />
study and specialization for lawyering in a global<br />
world. With an average incoming class of 30 students, the<br />
program is small enough to be friendly and big enough<br />
to be important. Students have come from 37 countries<br />
from around the world. Social and networking events<br />
are held on a regular basis. Students may also choose to<br />
specialize in one or more of the four designated areas:<br />
Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law<br />
Biomedicine and Health Law International Law and<br />
Business U.S. Law and Legal Methods Twenty four (24)<br />
credits are required to complete the LL.M. degree in<br />
Global Law and Technology.<br />
Accomodation<br />
We do not provide on-campus housing for graduate<br />
students. Suffolk University does have a dedicated Off-<br />
Campus Housing Office, where a staff will assist you.<br />
Scholarships<br />
Limited partial scholarship assistance may be available<br />
to qualified applicants who demonstrate financial need<br />
and outstanding academic credentials.<br />
