Die Verneinung des <strong>simple</strong> <strong>past</strong><br />
Die Verneinung des <strong>simple</strong> present hast du ja schon im letzten Schuljahr gelernt.<br />
Wenn eine “to be”-Form im Satz vokam, dann wurde “is” zu “isn’t” und ”are”<br />
zu “aren’t”:<br />
Bsp.: He is in London. He isn’t in London.<br />
They are in the garden. They aren’t in the garden.<br />
Beim “<strong>simple</strong> <strong>past</strong>” funktioniert das ganz ähnlich:<br />
Aus “was” wird bei der Verneinung “wasn’t” und aus “were” wird “weren’t”:<br />
Bsp.: He was in London. He wasn’t in London.<br />
They were in the garden. They weren’t in the garden.<br />

Bei Sätzen mit Vollverben hast du im <strong>simple</strong> present die Verneinung mit Hilfe<br />
von “don’t” oder “doesn’t” gebildet:<br />
Bsp.: He watches TV. He doesn’t watch TV.<br />
They play tennis. They don’t play tennis.<br />
Im “<strong>simple</strong> <strong>past</strong>” ist es noch einfacher, hier nimmst du immer “didn’t”:<br />
Bsp.: He watched TV. He didn’t watch TV.<br />
They played tennis. They didn’t play tennis.<br />

Auch die Entscheidungsfragen im <strong>simple</strong> present kannst du schon.<br />
Kommt eine “to be”-Form im Satz vor, dann steht diese bei der<br />
Entscheidungsfrage ganz vorne:<br />

Genauso geht es beim “<strong>simple</strong> <strong>past</strong>”.<br />
Hier stellst du “was” oder “were” nach vorne, fertig ist die Frage:<br />
Bsp.: He was in London. Was he in London ?<br />
They were in the garden. Were they in the garden ?<br />
Die Entscheidungsfragen im <strong>simple</strong> present in Sätzen mit einem Vollverb<br />
hast du mit Hilfe von “Does” oder “Do” gebildet:<br />
Bsp.: He watches TV. Does he watch TV ?<br />
They play tennis. Do they play tennis ?<br />
Beim “<strong>simple</strong> <strong>past</strong>” benutzt du dazu “Did”:<br />
Bsp.: He watched TV. Did he watch TV ?<br />
