„Mapping Al-Pacino“ ist ein Animationsfilm, der eine Parallele
zwischen der verzweigten Struktur des Internets und den Vegetationwurzeln
zieht. Die Animation versucht auszudrücken, daß der Prozeß
der technologischen Kreation nicht mehr als eine unvollständige
Rekonstruktion der Natur ist. Der Mensch versucht ein Kommunikationssystem
zu entwerfen, das ihn in einen übernatürlichen und ultratechnologischen
Zustand versetzt, jedoch ist das Ergebnis eine Fusion
zwischen der Natur und diesem neuen Kommunikationssystem.
Mapping Al-Pacino is an animation that does an analogy between
the rizomatic structure of the Internet and the vegetation roots. This
animation tries to express that the process of technological creation
is no more than an incomplete reconstruction of nature.
Man makes an effort by creating a communication system that takes
him to a supernatural and ultra-technological state, however the
result is a fusion between the nature and this new communication
system.
