Druck von Harry Graf Kessler. Er stellte außergewöhnlich hohe Anforderungen<br />
an die Mitarbeiter der Cranach Presse (Müller-Krumbach, S. 57).<br />
Einbandrücken leicht aufgehellt sowie im Schnitt wie meist einige kleine<br />
Flecken, ansonsten sauberes, sehr gutes Exemplar.<br />

von Hans Mardersteig 1922 gegründet, seit 1927 in Verona, mit der Erlaubnis<br />
der italienischen Regierung, das kostbare Schriftgut Bodonis lebendig<br />
zu halten. Masereel hat die 13 Mosaiken für die Gartenhalle des ›Tössertobel‹<br />
von Georg Reinhart in Winterthur entworfen. Diese Komposition<br />
hat Hagelstange im Sommer 1950 dort erstmals gesehen. Sie gaben ihm<br />
Anregung für seinen vorliegenden Gedichtszyklus, der zusammen mit der<br />
großformatigen Typographie und der sie halbrund überwölbenden Illustrationen<br />
einen harmonischen Wechselgesang bildet. – Tadellos.<br />
