ALTLAsTeNsANIeruNG
ZIeLe Der FÖrDeruNG: Schutz der Umwelt durch
Sanierung bzw. Sicherung kontaminierter Böden
oder Grundwasserkörper (alte Produktionsstandorte,
Deponien); Forschungsprojekte.
DIe sCHWerpuNKTe Im JAHr 2010: Die im Jahr
2010 genehmigten Projekte umfassen Maßnahmen
zur Sanierung oder Sicherung von kontaminierten
Flächen bzw. Untergrund- oder Deponiekörpern im
Gesamtausmaß von rund 1,2 Mio. m² bzw. 2,9 Mio.
m³. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf Schäden aus
Abfalldeponierung sowie Kohlenwasserstoffen
(PAK, CKW). Im Zuge dieser Maßnahmen werden
insgesamt rund 200.000 m³ kontaminiertes Material
geräumt und einer geordneten Behandlung zugeführt.
Zusätzlich wird durch die Entnahme und Reinigung
von kontaminiertem Grundwasser im Ausmaß
von mehr als 2 Mio. m³ pro Jahr der Schutz der
Trinkwasserreserven weiter ausgebaut. Darüber
hinaus enthalten die genehmigten Projekte die Erfassung
und Behandlung von jährlich 3,5 Mio. m³
kontaminierter Bodenluft und Deponiegas. Die
Reduktion der für den Treibhauseffekt relevanten
Deponiegasemissionen gilt als wirksamer Beitrag
der Altlastensanierung zum Klimaschutz.
Die KPC hat im Jahr 2010 14 Förderungsprojekte mit
einem umweltrelevanten Investitionsvolumen von
35,7 Mio. Euro und einer Gesamtförderung von
30,9 Mio. Euro gemanagt.
ReMeDiation oF contaMinateD sites
suPPoRt taRGets: Protection of the environment
through the remediation and/or containment of contaminated
land sites or bodies of ground water (former
production facilities, landfill sites); research projects.
PRioRities in 2010: The projects funded in 2010 comprise
measures for the remediation and containment
of contaminated surfaces and bodies of soil and landfill
material in a total amount of 1.2 million m² and
2.9 million m³, respectively. The main emphasis is on
damage due to landfilling and hydrocarbons (PAC,
CFC). In the course of these measures, about 200,000
m³ of contaminated material are being removed and
disposed of by appropriate means. In addition, more
than 2 million m³ of contaminated ground water are
extracted and purified every year, which contributes to
the protection of drinking water reserves. Further
projects funded include the treatment of 3.5 million m³
of contaminated soil air and landfill gas annually.
Through the reduction of landfill gas emissions, a
major factor of the greenhouse effect, the remediation
of contaminated sites effectively contributes to the
fight against climate change.
In 2010, KPC managed 14 projects with a total volume
of environmentally relevant capital expenditure of
EUR 35.7 million; the amount of support granted
totalled EUR 30.9 million.
