Dear Exhibitors, Visitors and Friends
of MUNICH FABRIC START,
Liebe Aussteller, Besucher und Freunde
der MUNICH FABRIC START,
A Very Warm Welcome to Munich!
With a portfolio now of over 950 exhibiting companies from
throughout the world, a host of innovations and side events as
well as numerous registrations from industry personalities, we
are pleased to welcome you to the kick off of the new season
under the heading AWESEMBLAGE.
AWESEMBLAGE is a neologism of AWESOME and ASSEMBLAGE
and it is synonymous with the awe-inspiring, the impressive and
the great – like a recurring theme running throughout the season
boasting great diversity and countless combination possibilities
almost like a collage. Ahead of us lies a promising season captivating
us with a wealth of silhouettes, clashing extremes and
multi-faceted technology. The already very wide variety of past
seasons is outperformed yet again by the incredibly creative
fabrics on show here.
For the Colour Forum presenting the colour trends for Autumn.
Winter 14/15 in our foyer this season we were able to enlist
LA-based artist Nike Schröder. Together with our Creative
Director Frank Junker she has developed an awesome, finethreaded
Colour Forum. In addition to this, we offer you our
seasonal Colour Card as well as the high-quality Colour Code as
comprehensive and sustained trend publications.
We look to the next few days with optimism and excitement
thanks to the CUBE X concept where our Denim Consultant
Piero Turk pools the essentials of the international denim scene
as part of BLUEZONE, to a roundtable discussion on Wednesday
on the topic of “Focus Quality, Focus Europe” chaired by Michael
Werner, Editor-in-Chief of TextilWirtschaft, but also due to the
commitment of German Parliament member Renate Künast
(MdB) to our efforts concerning the Organic Selection and
Eco Village.
For more details on this and many other intriguing topics carry
on reading on the following pages of our magazine.
Wishing you happy reading as well as three inspiring and
successful trade fair days. Already now we also look forward to
welcoming you to our now popular traditional Oktoberfest event
on the evening of 4 September from 6.30 pm.
With warmest regards,
Wolfgang and Sebastian Klinder
Herzlich Willkommen in München!
Farbtrends Autumn.Winter 14/15 in unserem Foyer konnten
Herzlichst,
Wolfgang und Sebastian Klinder

Grußwort
Renate Künast
10 + 11 DEC 13
„To know what’s inside” –
„Wissen, was drin ist“ –
is something consumers demand, and it’s also important to you,
the buyer of sustainable fabrics.
For four years now, specialists have been available at Munich
Fabric Start’s Eco Village to answer your questions regarding environmental
and social compatibility and the various eco certification
standards. This direct contact between the various stakeholders is
an important step toward more “Social Responsibility in the Textile
Value Chain” – the theme of this year’s Eco Summit.
The theme drives home this point: responsibility for sustainable,
fairly manufactured fabrics doesn’t rest solely with a single institution
or company. No, an entire series of them must play their
part: legislators in Germany, the EU and the producing countries;
companies, including all suppliers; employees in textile factories
around the globe as well as consumers.
How can we fulfil this responsibility?
We must all be well informed! Obtain as much comprehensive information
as possible – for example here at the Eco Summit, on the
WWW or on location. In July, I had a chance to visit Bangladesh,
where I witnessed first-hand the working conditions in the textile
industry and held talks with various participants in the production
process. However, information must be available to anyone, not
only to those, for example, who have a particular interest in fair
working conditions and ecological standards for professional
reasons. That’s why transparency is crucial! Standards such as
GOTS play a valuable role in that regard. But GOTS doesn’t cover
everything; for example, it doesn’t include all other fabrics besides
cotton – and that’s a shortcoming.
Companies EU-wide must be obliged to disclose their manufacturing
conditions – and this includes the entire supply chain – through
regulations similar to those the European Parliament has already
passed for commodities trading companies. This would encompass
both ecological and social criteria, such as working conditions and
building and fire safety.
Independent, unannounced inspections must be used to ensure
compliance with these rules. Here, as in the area of fair pay, corporations
have a shared responsibility. This burden can’t just be
shifted exclusively to the governments of the producing countries,
whose job it nevertheless is to guarantee minimum wages that give
people a chance to earn a decent living – a minimum wage of 30
euros per month isn’t sufficient even in Bangladesh.
That’s why I’m all the more delighted about your participation in
the Eco Summit as part of a group of entrepreneurs who actively
factor the ecological and social environment shaping the manufacturing
of textiles into their buying decision.
Best regards,
The everyday become
elevated and
perfected
WGSN Trend Expert Sue Barret on the upcoming
tendencies to achieve super classic status.
„The catwalk of the street is always an essential
commercial ingredient, combined with the
alchemy of vintage and modern fusion, which
never fails to inspire me.“
What do you think are the
most important trends for
the Autumn/Winter 2014/15
season?
Today we live in a world of images where
we photograph everything we do and
circulate our snapshots worldwide. We
manipulate those images through filters,
layers, distortion adding a layer of irony
to the familiar and the basic, perfecting
them with new layers and textures to
create new future classics.
Vintage sports classics and old favourites
are given post-modern hero status for
a new modernist casualwear attitude,
traditional workwear is stripped right
back to form a minimalist future service-wear
look.
What does that mean for
FAshion and fabrics?
It is all about a slight distortion in what
is familiar, with the everyday becoming
elevated and perfected to achieve super/
classic status.
Optical plays on the most traditional and
classic wovens create new modern patterns.
For example, micro-scale oxford,
waffle and 1x1 canvas weaves appear in
exaggerated scales. Architectural constructed
patterns, such as broken twills
and herringbones look increasingly experimental
with busy zigzag structures,
exaggerated weaves, cosy neppy yarns
and monochrome colours all adding new
interest.
Technical sports fabrications are used
unexpectedly for everyday basics. Sports
jersey tactility is coming through as a key
trend for both bottom and shirt weights.
Super-soft hand feel, power stretch and
performance recovery denim become
the season‘s must-have stretch qualities.
Proportion play is also key, for example
the classic rider jacket becomes exaggerated
in proportion with a dropped
shoulder and accentuated silhouette,
while the regular jean fit is upsized for
another play on proportions.
Which trends are long-term
and which are only significant
for a short period?
Fast flash trends are often the catalyst to
spark unexpected developments in the
market, the impact of which can ripple for
many seasons. For example the jegging,
inspired by the commercial success of
leggings, switched denim developments
away from its tradition roots, and is
still inspiring us with new performance
stretch fabrics. Manufacturers are more
and more responsive to exploring these
surprising developments to offer longevity
on commercial successes. Prints/
colour and coatings offer a quick update
on slower moving trends such as fits.
Where does your information
and inspiration come from?
The catwalk of the street is always
an essential commercial ingredient,
combined with the alchemy of vintage
and modern fusion, which never fails to
inspire me.
How certain are WGSN‘s
trend forecasts?
The nature of forecasting is an appetite
for the unusual and often the unexpected.
Spotting odd combinations, challenging
proportions, awkward flavours, or simply
uncovering a new angle for current
market successes.
WGSN has a global platform of industry
experts, allowing us to anchor and track
the journey and relevance of these shifts,
be it large or small, and ensure the most
relevant commercial coordinates for each
market segment. We offer this in both
long lead and close-to-market solutions
to ensure our clients commercial success
with close to 100-percent accuracy.
Das Alltägliche
wird veredelt und
perfektioniert
WGSN Trend Expertin Sue Barret über die kommenden
Trends für eine super-klassische Attitude.
„Die Straße als Laufsteg ist grundsätzlich ein
kommerzieller Faktor, der mich zusammen mit
der Mischung aus Vintage und moderner
„Fusionmode“ immer wieder anregt.“
Was halten Sie für die wichtigsten
Trends für die Herbst/Winter
sAison 2014/15?
Wir leben heute in einer Bilder-Welt,
in der wir alles fotografieren und unsere
Schnappschüsse weltweilt teilen. Diese
Bilder manipulieren wir mithilfe von
Filtern, Doppelbelichtung, Verfremdungen
und geben so dem Vertrauten und
Grundlegenden eine witzige Seite, perfektionieren
sie mit neuen Facetten und
Strukturen und schaffen damit die neuen
Klassiker von Morgen.
Vintage-Sportklassiker und alte Favoriten
bekommen einen postmodernen „Heldenstatus“
für eine neue, modernistische
Casualwear-Attitude; traditionelle Arbeitsbekleidung
wird zum Service-Wear
Look der Zukunft reduziert.
Was bedeutet das für
Mode und Stoffe?
Es dreht sich alles um eine leichte
Verfremdung von Bekanntem – das Alltägliche
wird überhöht und perfektioniert,
um ein superklassisches Statement zu
erhalten.
Die Optik spielt mit dem Traditionellsten
und klassische Webstoffe schaffen neue
moderne Muster. Z.B.: Oxford in
Mikrogröße, Waffelstruktur und 1x1
Leinwand-Bindungen erscheinen in
übertriebenen Maßstäben. Architektonisch
konstruierte Muster wie gebrochener
Köper und Fischgrat wirken
zunehmend experimentell mit bewegten
Zick-Zack-Strukturen, übertriebenen Bindungsbildern,
kuschligen Noppengarnen
und monochromen Farben, die neues
Interesse wecken.
Technische Sport-Qualitäten werden
unerwartet für alltägliche Basics benutzt.
Sportive Jersey-Haptik zeigt sich als
wichtiger Trend für Stoffgewichte sowohl
bei Unter- als auch Oberteilen. Supersofter
Griff, Power-Stretch und Denim mit
hohem Rückstellvermögen werden zum
“Muss” der Saison bei elastischen Stoffen.
Das Spiel mit Proportionen ist auch
sehr wichtig: Die klassische Reiter-Jacke
wird beispielsweise in den Proportionen
überzeichnet mit tief angesetzter Schulter
und betonter Silhouette, während der
normale Jeans-Schnitt weiter ausfällt, um
auch hier wieder mit den Proportionen
zu spielen.
Welche Trends sind langlebig
und welche nur für kurze Zeit
wichtig?
Kurzlebige Flash-Trends wirken oft wie
Katalysatoren: Sie lösen unerwartete
Entwicklungen im Markt aus, die noch
viele Saisons lang Wogen schlagen. Wie
die Jeggings; vom kommerziellen Erfolg
der Leggins inspiriert, brachten sie die
Denim-Entwicklungen vom traditionellen
Weg ab und regen uns mit neuartigen,
extrem elastischen Stoffen noch immer
zu Neuem an. Die Hersteller gehen immer
mehr auf diese überraschenden Entwicklungen
ein, um ihren Absatzerfolg auch
langfristig zu sichern. Bei langlebigeren
Trends wie dem Schnitt bieten Drucke und
Farben schnelle Aktualisierungsmöglichkeiten.
Woraus ziehen Sie Ihre
Informationen und
Inspirationen?
Die Straße als Laufsteg ist grundsätzlich
ein kommerzieller Faktor, der mich zusammen
mit der Mischung aus Vintage
und moderner „Fusionmode“ immer
wieder anregt.
AweseMBLAGE: Insight into MUNICH FABRIC START Trends
MFS Awesemblage /// AW 14/15
INNER LANDSCAPE
Calm – feeling, sensing, and emotions are given space.
The INNER LANDSCAPE spreads out poetically, romantically,
and reduced in us. The High-Tech and the Natural alternate
in a play of tension and release.
Scandinavian interior design forms the basis of this stylistic
language, with clear lines and a touch of retro, realised with
ultramodern techniques. Enveloping, oversize jackets and
coats reflect generosity and modernity, underlined by round
forms in solid materials and soft fabrics with corseted waists.
Capes in myriad creative variations bundle together diverse
elements such as coolness, playfulness, and elegance.
INTER CENTURY
A Marlene Dietrich chic resonates through all creative interpretations.
A classic feel – musical, material, and stylistic –
is the foundation as different eras mix together. Aristocratic
looks from the 19th century are broken up and loose their
stiff correctness through their mix with technical materials.
Savile Row-style business suits in various masculine designs
are combined hyper-exactly with couture-like patchworking.
“Old Couture” is recalled by form experiments with too much
width. Haute Casual reveals itself in men’s coats with the exaggerated
width of the 80’s. They produce an adult “Boyfriend
Look” for women and bring out the gender-crossing elegance
of this theme.
AweseMBLAGE: Einblicke in die Trends der MUNICH FABRIC START
INNER LANDSCAPE
modernste Technik umgesetzt. Einhüllende Oversize Jacken
und Mäntel spiegeln Großzügigkeit und Modernität wider –
unterstrichen von runden Formen, sowohl in festem Material,
als auch weichem Stoff mit Taillenschnürung. Capes in verschiedenen,
Patchwork zusammengestellt. An „Old Couture“ erinnern
Formexperimente mit zu viel Weite. Haute Casual zeigen
MOOD
Extremes find common ground more than ever, from the
simple and banal to the opulent and manic!
Via their perfect realisation, non-curated and naïve mix-inspirations
become naturally wearable art pieces of handiwork.
A montage of different materials, cuts, technologies, themes,
layers, eras, vibes and feels reaches a higher level. The unifying
element is a touch of obscurity that, nonetheless, needs no
explanation. High-end manufacturing and finishing produce
an innate, awesome beauty.
Pop and Palais, Chrome and Lace, Craziness and Basics,
Marble and Mohair, 19th century and High-Tech, Fun and
Fiction, Vinyl and Moonwash, Digital and Felt, Extravagance
and Boredom, Lambskin and Laser, Organic and Outerspace,
Flash and Feeling, Fur and Punk – these are just a few of the
combinations reflecting this year’s seasonal theme:
More information about colours, fabrics, trends and styling
can be found in our Colour Card.
STIMMUNG
Handwerkskunst. Eine Montage aus unterschiedlichen
Materialien, Schnitten, Technologien, Themen, Ebenen,
Epochen, Stimmungen und Gefühlen erklimmt eine höhere
Ebene.
Saisonthema AWESEMBLAGE widerspiegeln.
Parallax results from a perspectival displacement, making
phenomena and objects appear different than they actually
are. Unfamiliar and altered points of view inspire new proportions,
designs, and thoughts to form. Optical illusions,
hybrid forms, and deformations are important elements for
a futuristic design of the future. The space shuttle looks of
Mister Spock or Superwoman serve as body-hugging basic
silhouettes. Ergonomic lines, functional or decorative, return
for a stylish re-entry. Offset knit and jersey patterns get an
especially renewed swing. These are combined with wide astronaut
jackets, vests and coats, or more feminine V-line cuts.
PARALLAX
Eine Parallaxe ist das aus perspektivischer Verschiebung
resultierende, unterschiedliche Aussehen eines Phänomens
oder eines Gegenstandes. Ungewohnte und veränderte Betrachtungsweisen
inspirieren dazu, Proportionen, Design und
Gedanken neu zu formen. Optische Täuschung, Hybride und
Verzerrungen sind wichtige Elemente für ein futuristisches
Zukunftsdesign. Die Raumschiffbegleiter-Looks von Mr. Spock
oder Superwoman dienen als körpernahe Basis-Silhouette. Die
ergonomische Linienführung, als Funktion oder Dekoration,
hält wieder modischen Einzug. Insbesondere versetzte Strickund
Jersey-Muster bekommen dadurch neuen Schwung.
Umhüllt werden diese mit weiten Astronautenjacken, Westen
und Mänteln oder femininer in einer V-Linie.
POP´N PALAIS
The extroverted rock star David Bowie is the inspiration for
the POP’N PALAIS theme. Relishing in a boundless, luxurious
life: a hint of 70’s-era Rive Gauche with some elegant experimentation,
a pinch of the rich, architectonic Baroque, a dash
of kitsch and Pop from the 80’s and 90’s, and a shot of Russia
with an excess of pomp – this is the recipe for a colourful joie
de vivre. Narcissism makes a dramatic entrance and becomes
a trend.
POP´N PALAIS
Der extrovertierte Rockstar David Bowie steht für das Thema
POP’N PALAIS Pate.
Lebensfreude. Selbstverliebtheit wird durch einen extravaganten
Auftritt zum Trend.
Happy@tech
Although the pure, unaltered joy of childhood is often lost
during the trip through adulthood, with a lot of humour we
get back to those easy-going days. We make an effort and
let ourselves be carried away by those beautiful and funny
things in life to which we are literally drawn. Something like
a Dickensian “Spirit of Christmas” brings along laughter, love,
and joy, and away we go:
With “Get Lucky” music in our ears we’re already in the
midst of a childlike trip to a happy “I”. In snow-white forests,
passing by a softly roaring winter’s beach with a stiff breeze,
up into the treetops towards the gloriously shining sun or into
dreams of Alice in Wonderland.
Curiosity, fun, and lots of humour inspire our imagination.
Happy@tech
In schneeweiße Wälder
Fair News
„Though we travel the world
over to find the beautiful,
we must carry it with us
or we find it not.“
( Ralph W. Emerson )
We are on a voyage – just like you. From
trade fair to trade fair always looking out
for something new. Our path follows our
ambition as a trade fair organiser to offer
you the most perfectly organised trade fair
possible. To this end we are working on
continuous development, optimisations
and improvements. This is our aim that
we pursue and put into practice season
after season. And in so doing, we try to
stay close to the market, to identify its
needs and requirements and to respond
to these in the best way possible.
And we are not the only ones to share this
vision. The enormously positive response
to our approach encourages us that our
voyage is going in the right direction. We
are now posting nearly 20,000 visitors
and a new attendance record of 950
international exhibitors for the first time,
which means another 10% increase over
the previous year. After VIEW Premium
Selection with a high-calibre line-up
opening the season in Munich on 10 and
11 July, we now look ahead with optimism
to exciting and promising trade fair days
to kick off AUTUMN.WINTER 14/15 under
the seasonal heading AWESEMBLAGE.
With the Marzotto Group attending as well
as other interesting first-time exhibitors
the high-quality exhibitor portfolio has
been enhanced even further. And alongside
quality both design and utility are
our key focuses. After its successful launch
in Hall 3 the new stand system will now
also be implemented in Halls 2 and 4.
Likewise, the TrendLab has been given
a comprehensive facelift for optimised
presentation facilities. The Design Studios
at firstFLOOR will once again revolve
around design themes and progressive
ideas from all over the world. Here more
than 20 textile designers and trend offices
will be showcasing their individual fabric
designs and latest developments.
Psy.CHIC PUNK –
MUNICH CALLING!
The BLUEZONE is also fully booked
boasting over 65 international denim
weaving mills, finishers and laundries,
who will celebrate the BLUEZONE Festival
PSY.CHIC PUNK with the who’s who of
the denim community. In addition to TRC
Candiani, Isko, Orta, Royo, Lan. Europa
and Calik we are also looking forward to
several new entrants including the likes
of Itochu Denim Group, Turteks, Chuck’s
Vintage and Label Mark. Represented
for the first time will be a selection of
additional manufacturers presenting
their denim-specific products in order
to complete the comprehensive sourcing
process with accessories and findings.
Alongside the organic selection of denim
and sportswear fabrics displayed at
BLUEZONE, exhibits in the Greenzone
will also feature six selected denims from
various producers, all treated with a
sustainable finish by JEANOLOGIA. And
last but not least: visitors are called upon
to discover CUBE X which opens up a new
creative dimension. As an inspirational
think tank located at the heart of the
BLUEZONE this covers the whole path
right back to the roots of denim through to
now, setting the scene for finished denim
products.
organicselection goes online
The entire spectrum of ecological and certified
fabrics on show at organicselection
will now also be available online - anytime
and anywhere. Via this new fabric portal
it will already be possible to obtain
these sustainable high-fashion fabrics
several weeks ahead of the trade fair.
This hands-on tool is without par so far
and was installed in response to current
market demand for information and
sourcing options related to modern eco
fabrics. In addition to the approximately
500 certified fabrics and accessories on
display at the ECO VILLAGE two global
players will boost the sustainability of this
centre of expertise: Textile Exchange and
Fair Wear Foundation.
Autumn.Winter season.
Neuem. Unser Weg folgt dabei unserem
Wunsch als Messeveranstalter, Ihnen
eine möglichst perfekt organisierte Messe
zu bieten. Dabei arbeiten wir an stetiger
Weiterentwicklung, an Optimierung und
Verbesserung. Dies ist unser Anspruch,
den wir Saison für Saison verfolgen und
umsetzen. Dabei nah am Markt zu bleiben,
die Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen
zu erkennen und bestmöglich darauf zu
antworten.
Diese Vision haben wir nicht allein.
Denn die enorm positive Resonanz
bestärkt uns darin, dass unsere Reise in
die richtige Richtung geht. Mit nahezu
20.000 Besuchern und einem neuen
Rekord von erstmals 950 internationalen
Ausstellern, was einem erneuten Anstieg
von fast 10% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr
entspricht. Nach einer hochkarätig
besetzten VIEW Premium Selection, mit
der wir am 10. und 11. Juli 2013 in
München einen Ausblick auf die Saison
gegeben haben, blicken wir optimistisch
auf spannende und vielversprechende
Messetage zum Auftakt der Saison
AUTUMN.WINTER 14/15 unter dem
Titel AWESEMBLAGE.
Mit der Präsenz der Marzotto-Gruppe
und weiteren interessanten Neu-Ausstellern
wird das qualitativ hochwertige
Portfolio der Aussteller noch zusätzlich
ergänzt. Und neben Qualität gehören
sowohl Design als auch Funktionalität
zu unserem Fokus. Nach der erfolgreichen
Einführung in Halle 3 wird das
neue Standsystem nun auch in den
Hallen 2 und 4 eingesetzt. Und auch das
TrendLab hat ein umfassendes Facelift
mit optimierter Präsentationsfläche
erhalten. Rund um das Thema Design
und progressive Ideen aus aller Welt
geht es wieder in den Design Studios
im firstFLOOR, in denen mehr als 20
Textildesigner und Trendbüros ihre
individuellen Stoffdesigns und neuesten
Entwicklungen zeigen.
Psy.CHIC PUNK –
MUNICH CALLING!
Auch die BLUEZONE präsentiert sich
voll ausgebucht mit mehr als 65 internationalen
Denim Webern, Finishern
und Wäschern, die mit dem Who is Who
TRC Candiani, Isko, Orta, Royo, Lan.
Europa und Calik freuen wir uns auf
einige Neu-Aussteller, darunter Itochu
Denim Group, Turteks, Chuck’s Vintage
und Label Mark. Erstmals wird auch eine
Auswahl an Zutaten-Herstellern vertreten
Denim-Produkts.
organicselection goes online
Die komplette Bandbreite der in der
organicselection gezeigten ökologischen
und zertifizierten Stoffe ist nun erstmals
und von überall online verfügbar. Über
das neue Stoff-Portal können die nachhaltigen
und modischen Stoffe bereits
einige Wochen vor der Messe bezogen
werden. Das Hands-on-Tool ist bislang
einzigartig und reagiert auf die aktuellen
Bedürfnisse des Marktes nach Informations-
und Sourcing-Möglichkeiten von
modernen Öko-Stoffen. Neben den rund
500 gezeigten zertifizierten Stoffen und
Initial indications have been confirmed
after two intense days for season opening
AUTUMN.WINTER 14/15 within the
VIEW Premium Selection. Both exhibitors
and visitors were extremely satisfied
with the results and insights gained
from the two condensed trade fair days.
Optimism and a fresh breeze can now
once again be felt in the sector. Many
weaving mills and manufacturers were
already astonishingly far advanced with
their collection developments at this
point in time.
The Who’s Who in design and product
development was presented some 140
selected collections and fabric innovations
leading to a promising 14/15
Autumn.Winter season which will
score points not least due to its diversity.
Being the first international event of the
season VIEW already presents initial
developments and tendencies in the
fabric and accessories segment at a very
early point in time and has meanwhile
become a fixture in the industry. This
is confirmed not only by a continuing
and extraordinary 65% increase in
visitors but also by the consistently
convincing quality of the represented
brands. Besides the leading ready-towear
manufacturers and renowned
representatives of the apparel industry,
more and more brands in the middling
to high-priced segment are being attracted
to use the early date for their
associated information edge.
Also you benefit from this and visit us
at VIEW Premium Selection on 10 and
11 December 2013 for the kick-off into
season Spring.Summer 2015 – even
two months before the international
trade fair MUNICH FABRIC START.
Nach zwei intensiven Tagen zur
Saisoneröffnung AUTUMN.WINTER 14/15
im Rahmen der VIEW Premium Selection
wurden die ersten Anzeichen bestätigt.
Aussteller wie Besucher waren mit
den Ergebnissen und Erkenntnissen
aus den beiden komprimierten Messetagen
überaus zufrieden. Es ist ein
erneuter Optimismus und Aufwind in
der Branche spürbar. Viele der international
hochwertigen Weber und
Zutatenhersteller waren bereits zu
diesem frühen Zeitpunkt erstaunlich
weit mit ihren Kollektionsentwicklungen
fortgeschritten.
So wurde dem Who is Who der Designer
und Produktverantwortlichen rund 140
ausgewählte Kollektionen und die ersten
wichtigen Stoffinnovationen präsentiert,
die auf eine vielversprechende und vielfältige
Saison AUTUMN.WINTER 14/15
schließen lassen.
Als international erste Veranstaltung
in der Saison zeigt die VIEW bereits
zu einem sehr frühen Zeitpunkt erste
Entwicklungen und Tendenzen im Stoffund
Accessoires-Bereich und ist mittlerweile
als fester Termin in der Branche
etabliert. Bestätigt nicht nur durch
ein erneutes und außergewöhnliches
Besucherplus von 65%, sondern
besonders auch durch die weiterhin
überzeugende Qualität der vertretenen
Marken. Neben den führenden Konfektionären
und namhaften Häusern der
Bekleidungsindustrie folgen auch immer
mehr Marken des mittel- bis hochpreisigen
Segments dieser Zugkraft, um den
frühen Termin für ihren Informationsvorsprung
zu nutzen.
Profitieren auch Sie davon und seien
Sie am 10. und 11. Dezember 2013 mit
dabei, wenn wir bereits zwei Monate
vor der Hauptveranstaltung MUNICH
FABRIC START im Rahmen der nächsten
VIEW Premium Selection die Saison
Spring.Summer 2015 einläuten.
Exquisite double-faced fabrics are given a
very modern slant in matt/dull contrasts
thanks to jacquards (photo). An incredible
flair for fusing all conceivable fabric looks
is evident here – technical jerseys such
as neoprene or interlock materials used
as contrast linings, semi-transparent
coatings on textured base materials such
as ajours, knits bonded with “leather”,
lace glued with felt, camouflage prints
plaid fabrics, printed wool fabrics and
many more.
Edle Zweiseitigkeit wird sehr modern
vereint alle möglichen
Stoff-Optiken: technische Jerseys wie
Neopren- oder Interlock-Materialien
Grundwaren wie Ajourés, mit „Leder“
JACQUARDS
Gorgeous jacquards are undoubtedly
the strongest and most comprehensive
theme of the season, ranging from plain
versions also fit for menswear to very
ornate, playful protagonists for womenswear.
This type of weave provides
an incredibly creative pool of patterns,
yarn blends, high-tech 3D looks and
irregular surface motifs – as macro
or micro, technically super-smooth
or buffed and long-pile versions or as
raffia with wool or polyester with silk.
Wunderschöne Jacquards sind das
eindeutig stärkste und umfangreichste
Thema der Saison, von einfachen
Varianten, auch für die HAKA, bis hin
zu reich verspielten Versionen für die
DOB. Diese Bindungsart bietet einen
unglaublich kreativen Pool an Mustern,
Garn-Mischungen, technischen 3-D Bildern
oder bewegten Motiv-Oberflächen.
Ob in Makro oder Micro, ob technisch
ultra-glatt oder geschmirgelt und langflorig,
ob Bast mit Wolle oder Polyester
mit Seide.
WILD AT HEART
An array of animal motifs, fabrics and furs
exude a wild feel that is unfettered and
yet tamed and groomed. Opulent, luxurious
and authentic materials continue
to rank high on the agenda. Creativity
knows no bounds – furs feature graduated
shades, two or three-tone colour
schemes, iridescent looks and dyed tips
or backgrounds in contrasting colours.
There are also many combinations in
evidence for prints, with overprinting of
irregular or patterned surfaces being a
popular technology.
Wildheit - unbändig und dann wieder
gezähmt gestriegelt ist das Spektrum an
animalischen Motiven, Stoffen und Fellen.
Auch die opulenten, luxuriösen, echten
Qualitäten stehen nach wie vor hoch im
Kurs. Es gilt grenzenlose Kreativität – Felle
mit Verlaufsmuster, Zwei-Drei-Farbigkeit,
Changeant-Optiken, Spitzenfärbung
oder Kontrast-Fonds. Ebenfalls im Druck
wird viel kombiniert, beliebt ist dabei die
Technik des Überdruckens einer schon
bewegten oder gemusterten Oberfläche.
“Wild at Heart”
NEO CLAssics
Many classic weaving patterns – from
flannels, Donegals, tweeds, herringbone
and houndstooth to Glencheck and Paisleys
– are “modernised” with a number
of technologies: relief effects through
reverse embossing or puff printing, sportiness
afforded by bonding with jersey,
a discreet sheen produced by woven-in
glazed yarns or lamé-loops. Slightly shimmering
gold, bronze or copper finishes
look elegant. Furthermore, retro-motifs
interpreted in jersey “blow out the cobwebs”.
Viele klassische Webbilder – von Flanellen,
Donegals, Tweeds über Fischgrat
und Pepitas bis hin zu Glencheck und
Paisleys – werden mit verschiedenen
Techniken modernisiert: Relief-Effekte
durch Abseiten-Präge- oder Schaumdruck,
sportiv durch Bonding mit Jersey,
dezent funkelnd durch eingewebte Glanz-
Garne oder Lamé-Schlaufen. Leichte
Gold-, Bronze- oder Kupfer-Veredelungen
schimmern elegant. Weiterhin vertreiben
in Jersey umgesetzte Retro-Motive alte
Piefigkeit.
Taroni
“Abstruct Natural Prints”
ABSTRACT NATURAL PRINTS
Many print motifs come from nature or
everyday life. But they are presented in
an abstract graphic look – as seen in the
layering of several wristwatch links as
shown above by Taroni. Organic prints
reminiscent of HR Giger look futuristic
and fresh in their new colours. Many
fabrics come with a combination of
motifs and patterns: be it a zebra flock
print on sequins, landscape prints with
cube-shaped clouds or Northern Lights
motifs with their real-unreal colour
combinations defying nature. Forming
a real contrast to this is a trend towards
naïve animal motifs.
Viele Druck-Motive stammen aus Natur
oder Alltag. Sie werden grafisch abstrahiert,
wie obenstehend die von Taroni gezeigte
Überlagerung mehrerer Armbanduhren-Glieder.
Futuristisch neu sehen organische,
an HR Giger erinnernde, Drucke
in Farbe aus. Viele Stoffe werden mit
Kombinationen aus Bildern und Mustern
zusammen gebracht. Sei es ein Zebra-
Druck in Flock auf Pailletten, Landschaftsdrucke
mit Würfel-Wolken oder
Nordlichter-Motive in ihren real irrealen
Farbstellungen zur Natur. Komplett gegensätzlich
der Trend naiver Tier-Motive.
Zahlreiche Kombinationsstoffe wie
Unis, Punkte, Streifen und Karos aus
hochwertigen, rein biologischen Qualitäten
ergänzen die Kollektion. C.Pauli
bietet eine umfangreiche Auswahl an
konsequent ökologisch produzierten
kbA-Baumwollstoffen.
2nd Skin
The mood of the 2nd Skin collection is
both sensual and sporty. Clean cottons
and delicate viscose fabrics will recall
a sober aesthetic. Subtle harmony of
pastel colors, greys, whites and greens
is emphasized through fabrics for tops.
The collection reveals a sweet vintage
flair with linens blended with cotton
and viscose and a wide range of slubbed
surfaces. Essential hues of black navy
and nude still exist especially in heavier
weight items. To address the growing
interest for authentic washed & delave
looks modal/wool plays high scores.
For the eye catching luxurious and slick
surfaces mercerized fabrics both solids
and yarn dyed version, silk/viscose and
cotton/silks play a strong presence.
Pattern shouts loudly mainly in black
and white harmonies. And yet the
collection continues to push for contemporary
eco-friendly fabrics, organic
cottons rank first and complements
each other.
Die 2nd Skin-Kollektion wirkt sinnlich
und zugleich sportiv. Cleane Baumwolle
und zarte Viskose-Stoffe rufen
eine nüchterne Ästhetik auf den Plan.
Die subtile Harmonie der Pastelltöne,
Graunuancen, Weißschattierungen und
Grüntöne wird durch Stoffe für Oberteile
noch betont. Die Kollektion zeigt niedliche
Vintage-Anklänge in Leinen mit
Baumwolle und Viskose gemischt sowie
eine breite Palette knotiger Oberflächen.
Die maßgeblichen Farben Schwarzblau
und Nude bestehen weiter, besonders
bei schwereren Materialgewichten.
Angesichts des wachsenden Interesses
an authentischen Waschungen und
Délavé-Looks punkten Modal/Wolle. Bei
den auffällig luxuriösen und gekonnten
Oberflächen sind merzerisierte Stoffe
sowohl uni als auch Garnfärber, Seide/
Viskose und Baumwolle/Seide stark
vertreten.
KBC
Ioakimidis answers with plain qualities
that range from cotton to polyester,
colour shades to the demanding market
suggestions for daring and lavish
KBC
For winter 14/15 KBC banks on sophisticated
elegance. Refined details
and sensitively coordinated colour
harmonies have preference over loud,
pithy designs. New graphics merge with
delicate textures. Precisely drawn flower
designs alongside blurred floral prints
are reminiscent of grunge and a 40s feel.
The classic leopard comes abstract and
in new colouring. Flowing, new viscose
developments give the nostalgic trend a
soft line. Staunch polyester knits support
the clear geometric shapes while textured
surfaces enrich patterns and colours in
a subtle way.
KBC setzt zum Winter 14/15 auf raffinierte
Eleganz. Feine Details und sensibel
abgestimmte Farbharmonien stehen vor
lauten, plakativen Dessins. Neue Grafik
mischt sich mit sensiblen Strukturen. Präzise
gezeichnete Blumendessins neben
verwischten Flowerprints lassen zurückblicken
auf Grunge und 40er Jahre-Stimmungen.
Der Klassiker Leopard kommt
abstrakt sowie in neuen Colorierungen.
Fließende, neue Viskose-Entwicklungen
verleihen dem nostalgischen Trend eine
weiche Linie. Standhafte Polyesterstricks
unterstützen die klaren geometrischen
Formen. Strukturierte Oberflächen bereichern
in subtiler Weise Dessins und
Farben.
COLOUR FORUM – Art Meets Fashion
coLOUR FORUM – Art Meets Fashion
MFS Awesemblage /// AW 14/15
Art meets
Fashion
Colour Forum is the Result
of Cooperation with Artist
Colour Forum entsteht in
„I always get so excited when I arrange the colours for
one of my “paintings” – it really makes me happy.“
This time we succeeded in winning
over an artist for designing the Colour
Forum who bridges the gap between art
and fashion with her installations. After
all, Nike Schröders’ artworks are made
of yarns. These are arranged by the
LA-based artist both as abstract “paintings”
and as deconstructed depictions
of landscapes. At times the yarns are
presented in tenter frames, at others
they dangle in free space like mobiles.
The resulting “broken” surfaces make
for an impressive play of air and light
giving her works a special, spherical
air. The magic of colours moves to the
foreground.
The yarns used for MUNICH FABRIC
START – MFS’ Colour Forum are based
on the trend colours of the season and
featured in four installations. Each
installation is a self-contained cycle of
eight colours making reference to one
of MFS’ four trend themes. In total the
artist has “processed” an impressive
394 km of yarn! In line with the current
MFS colour card the four installations
display a portfolio of 32 trend colours.
Due to a special arrangement of the
yarns in different widths, colours take
on particular depth. The installation is
complemented by a technical interpretation
of the respective theme. Set into
the back wall of the Colour Forum is
a plasma screen broadcasting catwalks
shots for these colour trends. As usual,
you will find the Colour Forum in the
Foyer of Hall 2.
VITA
Schröder lives in Los Angeles as a fine
Artist. She has had solo shows in Germany
and the US including her recent
site specific lobby installation at the
Museum of Art and History in Lancaster
and her current Soloshow at Walter
Maciel Gallery. Schröder successfully
participated in several art fairs and was
granted an Art residency at the Culture
Reloaded Festival in Russia in 2011.
She has been commissioned to produce
works for numerous international
magazines and stores such as Stefanel,
Urban Outfitters in Hamburg and Berlin,
in addition to Germany‘s largest
Textile Trade Fair Munich Fabric Start
in September 2013.
Dear Nike, how did you come
up with the idea of turning
yarns into art?
I initially started applying yarns artistically
to garments, then images naturally
followed on from this idea. I found
many parallels with painting. An accumulation
of yarns, for example, looks
like dripping paint. I am fascinated by
the tactile element and enjoy breaking
the traditional artistic context carrying
the image “out of the frame” so to
speak. Apart from the use of materials I
am intrigued by the accidental dynamic
movement introduced into the works
through the loosely processed yarns.
What are your motifs?
I started with portraits, everyday situations,
snapshots and vanities. The
best example is my “Photobooth Series”
where I reproduced photobooth snapshots
in larger-than-life embroideries.
I have now mostly parted with figural
motifs, although I remain customer-friendly
for commissioned works,
e.g. for magazines or private individuals,
and enjoy that challenge.
For free exhibition projects I am
more driven by abstract interplays of
colour, most of which emerge from my
memories or a moment, inspired by
light, patterns and architecture. Here
the sequence of colours is calculated
mathematically, based on repetition
and aesthetic composition and follows a
geometric matrix. To my mind, bringing
these elements together permits me to
translate a traditional handicraft into a
contemporary context.
How important are colours
in your work?
At present, my work is based very
concretely on the interplay of colours.
I always get so excited when I arrange
the colours for one of my “paintings”
– it really makes me happy. There is
a flood of endorphins released when
the graduation of colours appears to be
100% seamless and drops out of frame
like a perfectly composed symphony.
By the way:
for the installation of the Colour Forum,
Nike Schroeder and her assistant
together covered a distance of 49.3
kilometers in order to process the yarns
with a total length of 394.3 kilometers.
Für die Gestaltung des Colour Forums
konnten wir dieses Mal eine Künstlerin
gewinnen, die mit ihrer Installation eine
Brücke zwischen Kunst und Mode schlägt.
Denn Nike Schröders Kunstwerke sind
aus Garnen gefertigt. Diese arrangiert die
in L.A. lebende Künstlerin zu abstrakten
FABRIC START (MFS) verwendeten
Garne sind speziell in den Trendfarben
der Saison gehalten und erstrecken sich
auf vier Installationen. Jede Installation
ist ein in sich geschlossener Zyklus aus
acht Farben, der konkret auf eines der
vier MFS-Trendthemen Bezug nimmt.
Insgesamt hat die Künstlerin dabei eine
Garnlänge von beeindruckenden 394
km! verarbeitet. Analog zur aktuellen
MFS-Farbkarte ergeben die vier Installationen
ein Portfolio von 32 Trendfarben.
Durch ein spezielles Arrangement
der Garne in unterschiedlichen Breiten
wird eine besondere Tiefe der Farben
erreicht. Ergänzt wird die Installation
durch eine technische Interpretation
des Themas. In die Rückwand des Colour
Forums ist ein Plasma-Bildschirm
eingelassen, auf dem Catwalk-Bilder zu
den entsprechenden Farbtrends laufen.
Das Colour Forum finden Sie wie gewohnt
im Foyer der Halle 2.
VITA
Nike Schröder lebt als freie Künstlerin
in Los Angeles. Einzelausstellungen
Museum of Art and History in Lancaster
oder ihre derzeitige „Soloshow“ in der
Walter Maciel Gallery. Schröder hat
erfolgreich an mehreren Kunstmessen
teilgenommen sowie am Residenzprogramm
des Culture Reloaded Festival in
Russland 2011. Sie wurde mit Auftragsarbeiten
für zahlreiche internationale
Magazine und Ladenlokale wie Stefanel,
Urban Outfitters in Hamburg und Berlin
neben der diesjährigen Munich Fabric
Start betraut.
Liebe Nike, wie kommt man
eigentlich auf die Idee, Kunst
aus Garnen zu machen?
Ich habe zunächst angefangen Garne
kunstvoll auf Kleidungsstücken zu verarbeiten,
dann kam die natürliche Weiterführung
dieser Idee ins Bild. Dabei habe
ich viele malerische Parallelen entdeckt.
So wirkt eine Ansammlung von Garnen
wie tropfende Farbe. Mich fasziniert die
haptische Komponente und es gefällt
mir, mich dabei aus dem traditionell
künstlerischen Kontext zu entfernen und
das Bild aus dem Rahmen zu tragen.
Neben dem Materialeinsatz reizt mich
die zufällige dynamische Bewegung, die
durch die lose verarbeiteten Garne in die
Kunstwerke kommt.
Was sind Deine Motive?
Angefangen habe ich mit Portraits,
Alltagsmomenten, Schnappschüssen
und Nichtigkeiten. Bestes Beispiel ist
meine Serie „Photobooth Series“, in der
ich spontane, in Sekunden entstandene
Automatenfotos in überdimensionaler
Größe nachgestickt habe. Mittlerweile
habe ich mich von den figürlichen Motiven
weitestgehend entfernt, wobei ich
bei Auftragsarbeiten, zum Beispiel für
Magazine oder Privatpersonen, weiterhin
kundenfreundlich bleibe und diese
Herausforderung auch genieße.
Bei freien Ausstellungsprojekten bin ich
eher angetrieben von abstrakten Farbspielen,
die meist aus einer Erinnerung
oder einem Moment entstehen, inspiriert
von Licht, Muster und Architektur.
Dabei ist der Farbverlauf mathematisch
kalkuliert, basiert auf Wiederholung
und ästhetischer Komposition und ist
angelehnt an ein geometrisches Gerüst.
Für mich erlaubt die Zusammenführung
dieser Elemente die Integration
eines traditionellen Handwerks in einen
zeitgemäßen Kontext.
Welche Bedeutung haben
Farben in Deinen Arbeiten?
Zur Zeit basieren meine Arbeiten ganz
konkret auf dem Zusammenspiel der
Farben. Ich werde dann immer ganz
aufgeregt, wenn ich die Farben für eins
meiner Bilder zusammenstelle, und das
macht mich richtig glücklich. Da passiert
so eine richtige Flutausschüttung
von Endorphinen, wenn der Farbverlauf
hundertprozentig nahtlos aussieht
und wie eine perfekt kombinierte
Symphonie aus dem Bild fällt.
Übrigens:
für ihre Installation im Colour Forum ist
Nike Schröder gemeinsam mit Ihrer Assistentin
insgesamt 49,3 km gelaufen,
um die Garne mit einer Gesamtlänge
von 394,3 km zu verarbeiten.
Loden Steiner focuses in its current
straight-forward propositions: classic
coat materials and traditional, typical
Loden. The collection encompasses
distinct, unambiguous looks and feels
with a purist and unambiguous statement
– from very lightweight flannels
to very heavy, hard-wearing materials.
The portfolio is rounded off by soft, airy
fabrics with a flowing drape in a vintage
look three-dimensional, appearing
subtle, grainy and fine with clearly
defined textures. As special treatments
Loden Steiner offers laser-cut, flock
Colour’s bet is on the contemporaneous,
as to the voluptuousness and comfort
in a wide variety of structures and new
“MELTONS” with a trendy colour range,
wool cotton blends with a soft and velvet
line, with the highlight in our brand
mit reinen Baumwollstoffen
Edle Mischungen und 100% Wolle auf
Dessins, auch neu mit tonigen
Mikro-Moulinés bilden dagegen die
“Hauptachse” der Anzuglinie. Das Highlight
until 15 September. Featuring watercolours,
hand drawings and graphic prints on
world literature (1930 – 1980) a focus of
the exhibition is the original watercolour
“The Golden Age” from 1957, one of Dalí’s
“Paris Intense” is the title Félix Vallotton
chose to give his graphics series produced
in 1893/94. In his pictures the artist takes a
modern look at the French metropolis, freed
of mannered elegance, thereby revealing
the Paris of the Belle Époque. Shortly before
this Vallotton joined the Nabis artists,
a group of young students whose unusual
language of form in Fin de Siècle Paris gave
a new face to posters, magazines, interiors
and theatre decoration. For the first time
now the exhibition features all masterpieces
A Question of Taste –
1970s Fashion
From Flower Power to Studio 54: the
exhibition “Geschmackssache” (Question
of Taste) presents 1970s fashion in all its
complexity. With its flares, platform boots
and hot-pants this youth movement reshaped
the face of fashion. Couture labels
like Yves Saint Laurent, Emilio Pucci and
Missoni injected a new language of colour
and form into fashion with their ethno-inspired
maxi dresses, psychedelic prints
and colourful knit patterns.
This is a must for every visitor to the city
wanting to see a real Munich beer garden.
Biergarten Augustiner Keller is the oldest
and also one of the most attractive beer
gardens in Munich. It is not only the 100
odd chestnut trees that make the beer
garden a real classic. This place attracts
students, business people, locals in traditional
to enjoy a hearty metre of beer pulled from
wooden barrels. A gem in Bavaria’s beer
garden tradition.
popular tourist attractions: here daredevil
Hidden as it is on a quiet residential street
this place is still a real insider’s tip.
Inspired by American hotel bars the Bonnie
Bar skilfully combines retro elements
from the 50s and 60s with laissez-faire
contemporary design and a predominance
of dark wood elements. The stylistic highlight
here is a brass-coloured stylised wall
to its excellent range of gins. Incidentally,
drinks come served here in style – in cut
crystal glasses.
“Wherever a crackling fire burns, where
into a sense of security and fascination.”
Theresa on Munich’s Theresienstraße is
committed to this meaningful saying. Indeed,
the special feature here is their open
charcoal grill. However, if this conjures up
images to you of a rustic cellar establishment
then you’re on the wrong track – here
instead you dine on long canteen tables in
Cole & Porter Bar
The recently opened Hofstatt Arcade
on Sendlinger Straße is now home to a
gastronomic gem – one not visible from
outside. The Cole & Porter Bar is in fact
exactly what you would imagine a really
cool daytime bar to be: high-quality interior
and casual design meet a harmonious
bar concept. This is because longstanding
chain restaurateur and co-owner David is
very “au fait” with creative and healthy little
dishes. Inspired by classic Italian coffee
bars the centre of the space is crowned by
a long counter surrounded by little round
tables with chairs covered in a leopard
skin pattern. A special highlight: large
glass doors slide open turning the bar into
an al fresco café. Incidentally, this daytime
bar is also open in the evenings too. And
the musical concept is aimed at the bar’s
namesake – jazz composer Cole Porter.
Dali-Ausstellung „Das Goldene Zeitalter“.
Zu sehen sind Aquarelle, Handzeichnungen
und Druckgrafik zur Weltliteratur (1930
steht das Originalaquarell „Das Goldene
der Künstler einen modernen Blick auf die
französische Metropole, befreit von manierierter
das Paris der Belle Époque. Kurz zuvor
hatte sich Vallotton der Künstlergruppe
junger Studenten, deren ungewöhnliche
Formensprache im Paris des Fin de Siècle
Plakaten, Zeitschriften, Interieurs oder Theaterdekorationen
die Bar unter anderem wegen seiner exzellenten
Auswahl an Gin-Sorten. Serviert
wird hier übrigens stilvoll in geschliffen
Spruch verschreibt sich das Theresa in
Münchens Theresienstraße. Das Besondere
hier ist tatsächlich der offene Holzkohlegrill.
Doch wer jetzt an eine rustikales Keller-Lokal
Cole&Porter Bar
Die neu eröffnete Hofstatt-Passage an der
Sendlinger Straße beherbergt – von außen
nicht sichtbar – ein gastronomisches
Kleinod.
Tagesbar so vorstellt: Hier trifft hochwertiges
Interieur und lässiges Design auf
ein stimmiges gastronomisches Konzept.
Denn mit kreativen Kleinigkeiten aus der
Gesund-Küche kennt sich der langjährige
Systemgastronom und Mitbesitzer David
bestens aus. Inspiriert von klassischen
italienischen Kaffeebars thront in der Mitte
des Raums ein langer Tresen, dazu kleine
Rundtische mit im Leomuster bezogenen
Stühlen. Besonderes Highlight: Große Glaswände,
die aufgeschoben werden können,
machen die Bar dann zum Freiluftcafé.
Übrigens darf in der Tagesbar auch abends
gefeiert werden. Das Musikkonzept orientiert
sich am Namensgeber der Bar, dem
Jazzkomponisten Cole Porter.
Spectrum as official outfitter
MFS Awesemblage /// AW 14/15
Spectrum
is the official outfitter for
our 40 hostesses working
at the exhibition centre.
The hostesses’ dresses were specifically
designed for the current edition of MUNICH
FABRIC START. Spectrum designer Meiling
Talibart opted for black and Cuprum colour
blocking. Cuprum is a warm brown tone
with a slightly rusty tinge. The season’s
trend colour is the recurring theme for the
entire trade fair design.
“My idea was to create a dress that has
clear contours, on the one hand, but a soft
and flattering silhouette, on the other,”
says designer Meiling Talibart.
Where did you take the idea for designing the
current trade fair outfit?
I was delighted to be given the opportunity
to collaborate with MFS in creating this
dress.
After doing some research on the previous
outfits and themes, I came to understand
this was a very elegant fair combining
luxurious and very accessible fashion;
I wanted to play with the color blocking,
creating a contrast between the sleek elegant
professional black and the autumnal
rust oranges. These two contrasting colors
assembled together using soft feminine
lines and flowing fabric bring harmony
to the construction of the design. Always
keeping in mind the balance between
function and fashion.
To what extent does the dress embody the
essence of Spectrum?
My idea in creating this dress was to provide
structure coupled with soft movable
elegance.
The fabric choice illustrates one can create
something feeling luxurious, qualitative
looking, but yet affordable. I wanted to assemble
this idea into the dress I designed,
representing the essence of our company. I
created the dress keeping the spirit of the
fair in mind: bringing the fashion industry
together with forward trends. In working
with my partners at Spectrum we have
developed the manufacturing capability to
translate the functional clothing as well as
the fashion needs desired by retailers in
Europe.
What is your design philosophy? What inspires
you to come up with ever new trends?
I personally have developed a Spectrum
fabric and style library which is continually
refreshed and in keeping with the ever seasonal
changes of European fashion retail. I
am the blend of 2 cultures, East and West.
Having grown up in the West, I have the
understanding and appreciation of fashion
identity and elegance from a western view
point. Having Asian roots gives me the
understanding of culture deep in the heart
of China. I feel this enables me to bring the
best of both worlds together.
About Spectrum
Spectrum was established by Thomas
Breistroff and Frank Wang in 2005, who
together come with almost 40 years of
experience in the textile sector under their
belts. Spectrum produces and exports
women’s and children’s textiles to Europe.
The company is located in Nanjing, from
where the operative business is handled.
There are two collections launched per
year plus a wide selection of high-quality
fabrics on display at the Hong Kong showroom.
The company employees to the
tune of 450 people and cooperates with a
number of selected, certified manufacturing
sites in China. Speed as well as good
value for money are considered standard.
Spectrum ist offizieller Ausstatter
unserer 40 Hostessen, die auf dem Messegelände
für Sie im Einsatz sind. Die
Hostessenkleider wurden speziell für die
aktuelle Ausgabe der MUNICH FABRIC
START designt. Spectrum-Designerin Meiling
Talibart hat sich für ein Colourblocking
aus Schwarz und Cuprum entschieden.
Cuprum ist ein warmer Braunton mit einem
Stich ins Rostfarbene. Die Saisonfarbe
zieht sich thematisch über das gesamte
Messe-Design.
sehr erschwinglicher Mode verbindet. Ich
wollte mit Colour-Blocking spielen und
einen Kontrast schaffen zwischen schnittig-elegantem,
professionellem schwarz
und herbstlichen Rostorange-Tönen. Diese
beiden Kontrastfarben in der Kombination
mit schmeichelnd-femininen Linien und
einer fließenden Qualität verschaffen dem
Design diese Harmonie – immer unter
Wahrung des Gleichgewichtes zwischen
Mode und Funktion.
Inwiefern verkörpert das Kleid die Essenz von
Spectrum?
Meine Idee zum Entwurf dieses Kleides war
Struktur mit weicher, fließender Eleganz zu
verbinden.
zusammenbringen. In Zusammenarbeit
mit meinen Partnern bei Spectrum haben
wir das Fertigungs-Know-How entwickelt,
um funktionale Bekleidung genauso umzusetzen
wie die Modewünsche europäischer
Einzelhändler.
wAs ist Ihre Designphilosophie, was inspiriert
Sie zu immer neuen Trends?
Ich selbst habe eine Spectrum Stoff- und
Modellsammlung entwickelt, die permanent
aktualisiert wird und zwar im Einklang
mit den jeweils saisonalen Änderungen
im europäischen Mode-Einzelhandel.
Ich bin das Produkt zweier Kulturen – Ost
und West. Ich bin im Westen aufgewachsen
und verstehe und schätze deshalb die
modische Identität und Eleganz aus dem
westlichen Blickwinkel. Meine asiatischen
Wurzeln verschaffen mir ein Verständnis
für die Kultur tief im Herzen Chinas. Ich
glaube, das befähigt mich dazu, das Beste
aus beiden Welten zusammen zu bringen.
Über Spectrum
Spectrum wurde 2005 von Thomas Breistroff
und Frank Wang gegründet, die zusammen
knapp 40 Jahren Erfahrung in der
Textilbranche mit einbringen. Spectrum
Anzahl an zertifizierten Produktionsstätten
in China. Schnelligkeit sowie ein gutes
Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis gehören zu den
Standards.
Fair Wear Foundation
Fair Wear Foundation’s mission is to
improve labour conditions for the hundreds
of thousands of workers involved
in making clothes for FWF member
companies. FWF has invested more
than 10 years in developing effective
solutions to the key problems facing
workers in the garment industry. The
independent non-profit organisation is
jointly governed by representatives of
business, labour and non-profit sectors.
The presence of both rounds off the
we decided to support an even more
sustainable production service and
initiated the project for Additionals, with
ecologically certified accessories. Initially
presented last season, more than 100
MUNICH FABRIC START
Wir geben Kindern eine Zukunft!
An initiative of munichfabricstart
We give children a future!
Coverage on the devastating accidents
at factories in Bangladesh has increasingly
brought the injustices at textile
production sites into the public eye. On
our trips to various production sites
around Asia we were repeatedly struck
by these awful conditions. Which is
why, already early on, we decided to
become involved in fighting exploitative
working conditions in textile production.
Together with the children’s
relief organisation terre des hommes
we launched our project in Karur in
Southern India. We have been fighting
child labour there for 6 years now with
the local partner Psycho Trust. Some
25,000 children are still employed
under terrible conditions, primarily in
small operations. With FAIR FOR KIDS
we help the children of the poorest. To
combat child labour long term we create
access to education and strengthen the
families. FAIR FOR KIDS offers help for
people to help themselves and thereby
gives them real prospects for the future.
Durch die Berichterstattung rund um
die verheerenden Unfälle in Fabriken
in Bangladesh sind die Missstände in
textilen Produktionsstätten vermehrt
ins Licht der Öffentlichkeit gelangt. Auf
unseren Reisen zu verschiedenen asiatischen
Produktionsstätten fielen uns solch
erschreckende Zustände immer wieder
auf. Schon früh beschlossen wir deshalb,
gegen ausbeuterische Arbeitsbedingungen
in der Textilproduktion aktiv zu
werden. Gemeinsam mit der Kinderhilfsorganisation
terre des hommes starteten
wir unser Projekt im südindischen Karur.
Dort engagieren wir uns inzwischen seit
6 Jahren mit dem lokalen Partner Psycho
Trust gegen Kinderarbeit. Vor allem in
Kleinbetrieben werden immer noch
etwa 25.000 Kinder unter verheerenden
Bedingungen beschäftigt. Mit FAIR
FOR KIDS helfen wir den Kindern der
Ärmsten. Um Kinderarbeit dauerhaft
zu bekämpfen, schaffen wir Zugang zu
Bildung und stärken die Familien. FAIR
FOR KIDS bietet Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe und
damit echte Zukunftsperspektiven.
What has FAIR FOR KIDS
achieved so far?
Using FAIR FOR KIDS donations the
Kutties Rajiyam school centre was
built in 2008-2009 on the site of the
Psycho Trust in Karur that opened in
May 2009. Since the opening, more
than 30,000 children have been able
to attend different courses and cultural
activities at the centre. Already in 2010
a boarding school was attached and a
training centre set up for young people,
mainly girls. Since the launch of FAIR
FOR KIDS in 2007, donations worth
more than Euro 230,000 have flowed
into the forementioned projects. This
was used not only to fund the building
work but also the running of the school
itself. Child labour is a complex problem
that requires a multi-pronged approach.
For instance, the Psycho Trust
defends children’s rights on the ground,
sets up children’s parliaments in the
villages to draw attention to and guard
against specific grievances and also
promotes school attendance to parents,
politicians and employees and helps the
parents of working children – without
the support of the children – provide a
better life for the entire family.
WHO ENSURES THE
donATIONS ARRIVE?
The project partners Psycho Trust and
terre des hommes provide regular
reports on the use of funds and project
progress thereby ensuring the necessary
transparency. Our partners on site,
the Indian relief organisation Psycho
Trust has been committed to children’s
rights since 1992. A central theme here
is their work against exploitative child
labour and the provision of educational
and training schemes. The children’s
relief organisation terre des hommes
Deutschland e.V. works internationally
to combat exploitative child labour and
has supported the Psycho Trust since
2001. Already for the second time now
we met George Chira, head of tdh India,
to jointly plan key project stages.
Photographer and traveller to India
Olaf Krüger visited the Kutties Rajiyam
school centre for us in 2011 and was
impressed by the local people and the
valuable work they do.
Thank You
However, our strongest partners are
you, our exhibitors: thanks to your
donations it has over the past few years
been possible to realise all planned
projects and not just that – it has even
been possible to implement each of the
projects more quickly than originally
planned! Since the inception of FAIR
for Kids the option when booking a
stand at Munich Fabric Start to
donate one Euro per square meter of
exhibition stand has been taken up willingly
and regularly by most exhibitors.
We would expressly like to thank all
exhibitors on behalf of “our” children.
You have really done some good.
Donations from visitors to the project
are also welcome.
Warm regards,
Wolfgang and Sebastian Klinder
Was hat FAIR FOR KIDS
bisher bewirkt?
Mit den Spendengeldern von FAIR FOR
KIDS wurde im Mai 2009 das Schulzentrum
Kutties Rajiyam auf dem Gelände
des Psycho Trust in Karur erbaut.
Seither konnten über 30.000 Kinder an
verschiedenen Kursen und kulturellen
Angeboten des Zentrums teilnehmen.
Bereits 2010 wurde das Schulinternat
angegliedert sowie eine Ausbildungsstätte
für Jugendliche, vor allem
Mädchen, gegründet. Seit 2007 sind
fast 230.000 Euro Spendengelder in die
genannten Projekte geflossen. Damit
wurde nicht nur der Bau finanziert,
sondern auch der laufende Schulbetrieb.
Kinderarbeit ist ein komplexes
Problem, das vielfältiger Lösungsansätze
bedarf. So setzt sich der Psycho Trust
vor Ort auch für Kinderrechte ein,
richtet beispielsweise in den Dörfern
Kinderparlamente ein, die auf konkrete
Missstände aufmerksam machen und
sich dagegen wehren können, wirbt bei
Eltern, Politikern und Arbeitgebern für
den Schulbesuch und unterstützt die
Eltern von arbeitenden Kindern dabei,
selbst besser für den Lebensunterhalt
der ganzen Familie sorgen zu können.
Wer garantiert dass die
spenden auch ankommen?
Die Projektpartner Psycho Trust und
terre des hommes sorgen mit regelmäßigen
Berichten zum Mitteleinsatz
und zu den Projektfortschritten für die
notwendige Transparenz. Unser Partner
vor Ort, die indische Hilfsorganisation
Psycho Trust, engagiert sich seit 1992
für die Rechte der Kinder. Zentrales
Thema ist der Einsatz gegen ausbeuterische
Kinderarbeit und das Angebot
von Bildungs- und Ausbildungsprogrammen.
Das Kinderhilfswerk terre
des hommes Deutschland e.V. setzt sich
international gegen ausbeuterische Kinderarbeit
ein und unterstützt den Psycho
Trust seit 2001.
Bereits zum zweiten Mal trafen wir
George Chira, den Leiter von tdh Indien,
um wichtige Projektschritte gemeinsam
zu planen. Indienreisender und Fotograf
Olaf Krüger besuchte das Schulzentrum
Kutties Rajiyam 2011 für uns und war
beeindruckt von den Menschen vor Ort
und der wertvollen Arbeit, die sie leisten.
Für dieses Jahr planen wir selbst einen
Projektbesuch zu unternehmen.
Vielen Dank
Unser stärkster Partner aber sind sie,
unsere Aussteller:
Dank ihrer Spenden konnten in den
letzten Jahren alle geplanten Projekte
realisiert werden und nicht nur das, jedes
Projekt konnte sogar schneller umgesetzt
werden als ursprünglich gedacht! Die
Option bei der Standbuchung für die
Munich Fabric Start, einen Euro pro
Quadratmeter Messestand zu spenden
wird von den allermeisten Ausstellern
seit dem Start von Fair For Kids gerne
und regelmässig wahrgenommen.
Dafür möchten wir allen Ausstellern ganz
ausdrücklich im Namen „unserer“ Kinder
danken! Sie haben damit viel Gutes
bewirkt. Auch Spenden von Besuchern
der Messe sind willkommen.
Herzlichst,
Knopf Schäfer
For the first time Knopf Schäfer added
a new dying treatment for real horn
buttons this season, recently developed
by their laboratories. This development
is a direct reaction to the apparel‘s desire
for a valuable and sustainable real
material in colour. Additionally, Knopf
Schäfer offers some articles with burned
finish, revealing the original real horn
characteristics. Yet Real Horn might be
pigmented.
Bornemann
Industrial aesthetics are a key theme for
labelling at Bornemann this time. Their
willingness to experiment especially
focuses on familiar materials and processes.
They are given an unexpected,
creative twist through new, unusual areas
of application. With a constructive
approach objects are seen afresh and in
a new light. The important “sustainable
labelling” trend is even catered to with
a separate theme: “adagio” includes
woven labels in recycled polyester yarn,
imitation leather made from recycling
fibres or a hang tag in FSC-certified
cardboard, to name but a few.
Italca
The Italca AW14-15 scarves collection
for womenswear and menswear is the
result of a research of different qualities,
such as Micromodal and cashmere,
viscose and silk, blended wool but also
polyester that are interpreted in print,
solid and yarn dyed versions both for
a vintage, folk, or extravagant mood,
as well as for the sport-chic trend. All
products are Made in Italy and Oeko-tex
Standard 100 certified.
Cittadini spa
Cittadini spa celebrates its 80th anniversary
by presenting its new series of
FASHION NETS at Munich Fabric Start.
These nets, knotted or knotless, already
established as a very flexible and versatile
fabric for both elegant and sporting
applications, are now offered in a more
refined version to exalt the softness and
transparency effect of designers creations
for dress and fashion accessories
(bags, sandals, belts, etc.). Every kind
of net is available on different thickness
and mesh sizes, dyed in new trend or in
customized colors, printed or personalized
with logos of Maison, treated with
special finishing on demand.
This year sees BODO JAGDBERG GmbH
celebrate its 60th anniversary. The
extended to include buttons and accessories,
which have been produced and
distributed in-house since 1975. BODO
JAGDBERG’s special assets are the wide
trends into novel and topical products.
With 20 representatives worldwide,
own offices operated in Romania, Turkey
Dienpi
DIENPI this season presents the new
leather labels “eti-ECO” made of skin
and are completely ecological resulting
out of a chromium-free tanning
organic with respect for the nature
of the product and the environment.
The main product is made of cowhide
thickness 1.7/1.8 mm from Italian
slaughterhouses, tanned and worked in
Italy. The leather is subject to tanning
organic tends to withdraw but, despite
this, has a good resistance regarding
dimensional stability of up to 80%, by
scrubbing tested up to 30° centigrade.
The skin is comfortable and pleasant to
touch and retains many of its natural
characteristics: some parts of the skin
will look more grain, while other areas
will be more smoothly, but just as durable.
Ethically the DIENPI is applying
all the rules and behaviours required to
achieve by the year 2013, the SA8000
certification.
Knopf Schäfer
Knopf Schäfer bietet zu dieser Saison
erstmalig ein neues Färbeverfahren für
Echthorn Knöpfe an, das die hauseigenen
Labors vor Kurzem entwickelt haben. Die
Entwicklung ist eine direkte Reaktion auf
den Wunsch der Bekleidungsindustrie
nach einem wertigen und nachhaltigem
Echtmaterial in Farbe. Zusätzlich
wurden einige Artikel gebrannt, um
den ursprünglichen Charakter des Echt
Industrielle Ästhetik ist diesmal ein
großes Thema im Labelling bei Bornemann.
Die Experimentierfreudigkeit
ist vor allem bekannten Materialien
und Verfahren gewidmet. Ein neues,
ungewöhnliches Einsatzgebiet verleiht
ihnen einen unerwarteten, kreativen
Dreh. Konstruktiv werden Dinge neu
betrachtet und zweckentfremdet. Dem
wichtigen Trend „nachhaltiges Labeling“
wird ein eigenes Thema „adagio“
gewidmet. Hier gibt es unter anderem
Webetiketten aus recyceltem Polyestergarn,
Kunstleder aus recycelten Fasern
Hauptprodukt ist Rindleder in der
werden zu Accessoires verarbeitet, die
schlichte Eleganz ausstrahlen. Schnallen
und Schließen in mattierten und
Metalleffekten (goldener/silberner Schimmer).
Diese werden partiell platziert und
sind als Elemente der Bekleidung gedacht.
Zum ersten Mal werden die Motive der
Kollektion Winter 2014/15 online auf www.
den Metallzutaten, zeigen sich jetzt
aber mit einem völlig neuen Profil:
Neue Formen (flach, abgerundet, oval)
lassen sich auch mit gravierten oder
gestanzten Logos personalisieren, oder
bieten unterschiedliche Strukturen
mit der Möglichkeit, Strass oder Email
einzusetzen. Zudem sind diese Ösen
selbstschneidend und können somit direkt
neue Aufgabe: Vom rein dekorativen
Element avanciert sie zu einem neuen
funktionalen Druckverschluss (auch
in Sonderanfertigung möglich) und
unterstreicht so die sehr hohe Verarbeitungsqualität.
THE CLASH, THE SEX PISTOLS
Furthermore, a selection of accessories
manufacturers, e.g. Label Mark and
products dedicated to denim in order to
complete the range for a comprehensive
sourcing process. CUBE X –
Be it Design Studio, Denim Blog or
Munich Calling!
CUBE X has been developed in collaboration
with Piero Turk, Denim
Consultant of MUNICH FABRIC START,
and offers tendencies, influences, information,
ideas and concepts that make
up the denim world of tomorrow and
yesterday – from the origin of denim
beyond denim trends.
In recent years, Piero Turk has worked
with leading denim manufacturers like
Adriano Goldschmied in LA, Replay,
Tommy Hilfiger Denim, Sportmax, Pepe
Jeans, Edwin Lee and others. He knows
the denim industry and its needs from
scratch and shares his extensive expertise
with us and the Denim community
at CUBE X.
all pics from
„From there to somewhere“ blog
Piero, you have more than 20
years of experience in working
with denim and different
top denim brands around
the world, where do you get
your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from anything I
see. Vintage garments, photographs,
people on the streets, movies...
What was the idea behind
the CUBE X instALLAtion?
The idea behind was to give an
unexpected and high level source of
inspiration to all the people working in
the denim world. This is not related to
the fast moving fashion trends we are
steadily facing. It is to stimulate their
creative process.
What are the greatest challenges
for denim companies
in the near future?
Let me express this as my wish. In my
vision, all the companies should try to
change their approach to the business
– in terms of being more conscious
about a more ethical way of producing
denim and jeans. This is about towards
environment and people.
Der in Zusammenarbeit mit Piero Turk,
Denim Consultant der MUNICH FABRIC
START, entstandene CUBE X bietet Tendenzen,
Einflüsse, Informationen, Ideen
und Konzepte, die die Denim Welt von
morgen und von gestern ausmachen –
from the origin of denim beyond denim
trends.
Piero Turk hat in den vergangenen
Jahren mit führenden Denim-Herstellern
wie Adriano Goldschmied in
L.A., Replay, Tommy Hilfiger Denim,
Sportmax, Pepe Jeans, Edwin, Lee
und weiteren zusammengearbeitet. Er
kennt die Denim-Industrie und deren
Bedürfnisse von der Pieke auf und teilt
sein umfassendes Know-How mit uns
und der Denim Community im CUBE X.
Piero, Du hast mehr als
20 Jahre Erfahrung in der
Zusammenarbeit mit den
unterschiedlichsten Top-
Brands der Denim-Industrie
weltweit. Woraus ziehst Du
Deine Inspiration?
Meine Inspiration kommt aus allem, was
mir begegnet und was ich sehe. Vintage
Produkte, Fotografien, Menschen auf
der Straße, Filme….
Was war die Idee hinter der
cube X InstALLAtion?
Dabei geht
es nicht um die sich schnell verändernden
Modetrends, mit denen wir ständig
konfrontiert sind. Es geht darum, den
kreativen Prozess anzuregen.
Was sind die grössten Herausforderungen
für Denim
Unternehmen in der nahen
Zukunft?
Dies möchte ich als meinen Wunsch
formulieren. In meiner Vision sollten
alle Unternehmen versuchen, ihre
Grundeinstellung zu ihrem Business zu
verändern - im Sinne eines wachsenden
Bewusstseins für einen ethischeren Weg
in der Produktion von Denim und Jeans.
Dies ist ein Zugeständnis an die Umwelt
und den Menschen.
ROYO
In ROYO we focus in special blends that
provide function to Denims and pfd
fabrics.
We launch a new family called The SMOO-
THY line that features extra softness and
comfort, we also continue with a winter
use DENIM line called WOOLTON. We
enhance the MEGALAST line that can
make the wearer feel a size less in tightfit
Jeans. The SUAVE line based in special
blends with Lyocell and other fibres. The
WELLNESS SPA DENIM based on skincare
properties powered bt Tencel C fibre
that originates from seashell proteins.
Bei Royo konzentrieren wir uns auf
spezielle Mischungen, die aus Denim´s
und pfd´s „funktionstüchtige“ Materialien
werden lassen. Unterschiedliche Lederlooks
aus speziellen Fasern mit extra
weichem Griff und Super-Stretch-Charakter.
„The Smoothy“-Linie, die wir neu
eingeführt haben, steht für zusätzlichen
weichen Tragekomfort. Wir setzen auch
diese Saison die winterliche Denim
Linie „Woolton“ fort. Die MEGALAST
Kollektion haben wir weiter entwickelt,
so dass sich die Trägerin durch perfekten
Sitz um eine Größe schlanker fühlen
darf. Die SUAVE-Kollektion basiert auf
speziellen Mischungen aus Lyocell und
anderen Fasern. Der WELLNESS SPA
DENIM basiert auf hautpflegeähnlichen
Eigenschaften powered by Tencel C-Fasern,
die aus Proteinen einer Muschel
gewonnen werden.
ISKO
The new F/W collections at Isko have
been designed paying special attention
to the concepts of stretch, colours
and comfort in denim both for
women and men. In order to avoid the
effect of most stretch fabrics ending
up loosing their original denim-look
because of the difficulty of keeping
their regular structure and yarn
character, Isko provides fabrics with
extreme stretch specialities. Together
with many new highly elastic stretches
for girls, Isko is presenting new
ultra high elastic stretch fabrics for
men without sacrificing the real original
look of jean: Isko XMEN is the new stretch
generation for masculine fabrics with
hidden stretch technologies.
Die neuen H/W Kollektionen bei Isko
wurden unter besonderer Berücksichtigung
der Konzepte Elastizität, Farbe
und Komfort bei Denim für Damen und
Herren entwickelt. Damit - wie bei den
meisten anderen Stretch-Stoffen - am
Ende das ursprüngliche Denim-Aussehen
nicht verloren geht, weil es so
schwierig ist, die regelmäßige Struktur
und den Garncharakter beizubehalten,
bietet Isko Stoffe mit extremen
Dehnqualitäten. Neben vielen neuen
hochelastischen Qualitäten für Damen,
präsentiert Isko auch neue, ultra-elastische
Stretch-Stoffe für Herren an, ohne
Kompromisse beim Original-Jeanslook
zu machen: Isko XMEN heißt die neue
Stretch-Generation für maskuline Stoffe
mit unsichtbarer Stretch-Technik.
Tejidos Royo
The AW 14/15 collection main trends
are leathery looks blended with special
fibres with extra soft handfeel and super
stretch properties. A full concept dedicated
to Black&Co. Coloured denim with
shiny look, Vinyl and crushed leather
aspects, Jaquard designs. And more
surprising looks which we like to call
DENIM-UN-EXPECTED, our collection‘s
motto for AW 14/15.
Die Trends für AW 14/15 bestehen aus
einem Konzept, das sich komplett „Black
& Co“ gewidmet hat. Vinyl- und geknitterte
Lederflächen, kolorierte Denims in
glänzendem Look, sowie Jacquard Dessins.
Getreu unserem neuen saisonalen
Motto für AW 14/15, „DENIM-UN-EX-
PECTED“, warten noch weitere überraschende
Looks.
ITV
The new themes in the ITV collection are
very versatile and surprising yet again:
Feedback concept with perfect rebound;
“frizzante” and leather-like “mano pelle”
effects with an additional Lurex lustre
as well as novel liquid finishes that give
articles a “glossy” and “raw” touch. A
number of new PXT textured and jersey
materials will convince you. With Antivento
wind-breaking materials you enter
the new winter season well protected.
Die neuen Themen in der ITV-Kollektion
sind wieder sehr vielfältig und
überraschend: Feedback-Konzept mit
perfektem Rücksprung; Frizzante- und
Mano Pelle-Effekte mit zusätzlichem Lurex-Schimmer
als auch neue Liquid-Finishes,
die den Artikeln einen Glossyund
Raw-Touch geben. Eine Reihe neuer
PXT-Struktur- und Jersey-Qualitäten
werden Sie überzeugen. Mit Antivento
Qualitäten gehen Sie geschützt in die
ALWAys A STEP AHEAD
For all those keen on being that bit ahead this is where
to find a preview of the Spring.Summer 2015 season.
Because as a visionary concept “Tomorrow is Today”, for
short “TisT” embraces the future now. Where are we heading?
What lies ahead? And what will still be round? These
are the crucial questions for the weaving mills, finishers and
full-package providers exhibiting here. But “TisT” is not just a
futuristic dream. The exhibitors also have plenty of “gear” for
the imminent Autumn.Winter 2014/15 season.
IMMER EINEN SCHRITT VORAus
Summer 2015.
Denn als visionäres Konzept nimmt „Tomorrow is Today“,
kurz „TisT”, die Zukunft mit ins Programm. Wohin geht die
Reise? Was kommt? Und was bleibt?
