“The Conference was very good because of exchanging of experiences – of how to manage the
External Borders Fund. We have something to learn concerning how to manage the authorities work
together correctly and also how to work with the beneficiaries in a way that we can have more
expenditure on the Fund. So it was very good. I learned a lot. There was a session with Lars
Langethal from Germany about the monitoring and on-the-spot-checks – that was very good. He
showed us some templates how to do the monitoring and on-the-spot-checks - not only the theoretical
aspects of the funds – that was really good.
