2.3 Selecting the place of installation / Fixing the device

The EAD 200wi has been designed for in-house use in closed rooms as wall-mount unit. The
EAD 200wi should be placed nearby the Ethernet-WAN cable running from the Access
Switch and next to a mains socket. Since the EAD 200wi is determined for continuous operation,
it has no mains switch. For disconnection from the electricity grid, just remove the plugin
power supply unit. So the wall power supply should always be easily accessible.
Prior to wall mounting, make sure that there are no concealed supply lines (power, water, gas,
telephone, coaxial or fiber cable) at the intended installation place. During operation, the
