Object: The object is to move your bicycle along the game path and to be
the first to reach HOME.
Set-up: Up to four people can play. One person is elected game leader;
his or her only job is to give instructions (see below). To start, each player
rolls the dice. The player with the highest number goes first. Play passes
to the left (clockwise).
How to play: Roll the dice. If you roll a 3 or less, then move your bicycle
the number of spaces indicated by the dice. If you roll a 4, you lose your
turn (do not move). If you roll a 5, then move only 2 spaces. If you roll a
6, then move 3 spaces and take another turn. If you land on a space already
occupied by another player's bicycle, then move forward to the next
free space.
13
Spaces on the board correspond to particular scenes in the play. When
you land on a space (e.g. II,1), the game leader reads out a short summary
of the indicated scene (Act II, Scene 1) and then chooses and reads out a
related task for you ( - acting; - miming); he or she decides whether
your performance is satisfactory or not, i.e. whether you can roll the
dice on your next turn, or have to miss a turn. Whenever your bicycle
lands on a space marked '?', the game leader chooses any one of a number
of special instructions for you.
The game ends when a player lands on HOME. However, you must roll
exactly the correct number to reach HOME. If you roll a number higher
than the exact number required, you lose your turn.
