Steil bergauf zur Integration
A Rapid Step towards Integration
Liebe Leser,
BACnet hat sich in kurzer Zeit zum Weltstandard für ein
offenes Kommunikationsprotokoll in der Gebäudeautomation
entwickelt. Dies war auf Grund der vorherrschenden proprietären
Systeme nicht unbedingt zu erwarten. Aber nach
der Gründung der BIG-EU vor zehn Jahren ging es zuerst in
Deutschland und anschließend in Europa steil bergauf. Getrieben
wurde dies von den zielgerichteten Kräften aus dem
Bereich der Hersteller, Planer und Immobilienbetreiber in der
BIG-EU. Damit wurde die nachhaltige Weiterentwicklung
von BACnet zum Weltstandard massiv unterstützt.
Durch die Reaktion der Hersteller auf einen sich positiv abzeichnenden
„BACnet-Markt“ stehen dem Fachplaner heute
(fast) alle Möglichkeiten der Integration gebäudetechnischer
Anlagen, Funktionen und Informationen zur Verfügung. Die
Ziele der Betreiber und Investoren können mit heute verfügbaren
Mitteln erreicht, ja teilweise sogar übertroffen werden.
Das setzt aber die richtige fachtechnische Beratung und Planung
voraus.
Für einen wirtschaftlichen und nutzerorientierten Gebäude-
oder Liegenschaftsbetrieb ist es unabdingbar, dass zur richtigen
Zeit die richtigen Informationen zur Verfügung stehen.
Damit erhebt sich automatisch die Forderung nach der zentralen
Betriebsführung und Integration aller Systeme. Sie ist eine
Vorrausetzung, um z. B. Forderungen zur Energiekostenoptimierung
und -abrechnung zu erfüllen (s. Artikel „Neue Messe
Stuttgart“ und „Fraport“).
Abgesehen von dem betriebsorientierten Mehrwert durch
BACnet erschließt das offene Kommunikationsprotokoll die
Möglichkeit des freien Wettbewerbs. Dadurch sind der Investitionsschutz
gewahrt, der Einsatz innovativer, nutzungsgerechter
Technik gesichert und marktgerechte Kosten erzielbar.
Das Engagement der AMEV Arbeitsgruppe „BACnet in öffentlichen
Gebäuden 2007“ und die Weiterentwicklung des Standardleistungsbuchs
StLB Bau (070) fördern diesen Prozess.
Mit dem Weltstandard BACnet steht uns ein offenes Kommunikationsprotokoll
für die Gebäudeautomation mit starker
Marktdurchdringung zur Verfügung. Ich lade Sie ein, den
Stand der BIG-EU auf der Light+Building zu besuchen und
sich über die neuesten Entwicklungen, Systemintegrationen
und die durchgeführte Zertifi zierung zu informieren.

Dear Reader,
BACnet has in a very short period of time developed into
the worldwide standard open communication protocol within
building automation. This was not really to be expected due
to the presence of the dominant proprietary systems. After
the foundation of the BIG-EU ten years ago Germany tookoff
and was immediately followed by the rest of Europe. This
rapid climb to success was driven by numerous goal-oriented
forces within the BIG-EU from the areas of manufacturing,
planning and real estate. For this reason the sustainable
development of BACnet as a worldwide standard has been
solidly supported.
Today, due to the reaction of manufactures towards a
positively defi ned BACnet market (nearly) every possible
option for the integration of building technology applications,
functions and information is available to planers. Today, the
goals set by these companies and investors can be reached, if
not even partially surpassed, with the resources readily available.
This of course assumes correct specialist consulting and
planning.
For profi table and user oriented building & real estate businesses
it is essential that the right information is available at
the right time. This automatically raises the need for a central
control system and the integration of all systems. This is a
requirement that, for example, meets both energy and service
cost optimisations (see article “New Stuttgart Fair” and
“Fraport”).
Apart from service oriented added value enabled through
BACnet, the open communication protocol unlocks the possibility
for open competition. Therefore investments are protected,
the application of innovate, technology which is right
for the task is assured and, is obtainable in line with market
costs.
Assisting this process is the involvement of the AMEV working
group “BACnet in Public Buildings 2007” and the further development
of the standard performance book StLB Building
(070).
BACnet, a world standard for building automation and an
open communication protocol which has strong market
penetration is now available. I would like to invite you to visit
